Roma made a big splash against Empoli. They beat them 7-0 and got one of the biggest scores in Serie A. Of course, this could be the most different match score of the year. Roma became a more effective team now that they had players who could help Dybala. It shows that they will be better this year than last year.

We shouldn't be expecting a humiliating defeat from Roma this time around as Torino will be prepared as they are aware of the recent win Roma got over empoloi. It's going to be not too easy a game for Roma, I would say if they are able to score up to three goals it could be considered a good one and I am also anticipating a goal too from Torino.

It was quite surprising but nevertheless a team has to act when too many defeats are received. Empoli is basically a bottom team that very rarely enters the relegation zone and I think as long as they can stay in Serie A every season that is more than enough than having to go down to Serie B. But the consecutive defeats at the start of this season seem unforgivable and Empoli made the right decision to fire coach Paolo Zanetti. I hope they can find a very capable coach again to be able to maintain Empoli's stability in Serie A if they don't want to be relegated this season.

Actually, Empoli's defeat against Roma yesterday was a bit worrying because Empoli conceded 7 goals and Empoli couldn't score a single goal against Roma. Maybe with his decision to fire Paolo Zanetti it was the right decision for Empoli to renew their performance. But Empoli will have to adapt again when they have a new coach and it will not be easy, it will take time for Empoli teammates to adjust and improve their team's performance so that they can recover from their current downturn. There must be a difference that Milan must show in the next match even though last week we saw a frustrating derby because Inter seemed to play alone and Milan were really taught how to play football but the Champions League match was still quite good even though they only got 1 point.
The next week for Serie A is where Milan will host Verona in week 5. Verona is not a big club but at the start of this season their movement was quite different compared to last season, this must be anticipated by Milan because Verona could bite because the start of the season with 2 wins 1 draw and 1 loss is quite good for a club of Verona's class but if Milan cannot conquer Verona then they can be shaken in terms of mentality so that in week 5 they inevitably have to bring 3 points as the final result.

The current performance of Verona, especially in the last two matches have been pretty bad. They did start well, but overall I think we can say that the performance from them has been inconsistent. So I think Milan will have a chance to win that match. But it is definitely not going to be easy, especially when they are not very consistent themselves. They have lost the match against Inter very badly. They were able to get one point from the last match which was a Champions League match. So the confidence is definitely not the best right now for them. So they will definitely have to perform really well to be able to win the match against Verona. They will have to win this match if they want to stay at the top of the table.

Italian participation in this round of Champions League wasn't successful anyway, maybe only for Napoli which won their game, also in the last minutes of the game.
Inter got a draw vs Real Sociedad, Milan got a draw also but vs Newcastle making things more interesting inside the groups.
By the way even Lazio was able to bring a draw from an away game by the header of the goalkeeper.

Mourinho has taken Roma to a different level, I mean Roma has been better with Mourinho. But it is true that Roma still needs to improve the depth of their squad with many quality players if they want to win the Scudetto. Serie A has been a very competitive league so far where no team will be able to dominate the title every season, so I can expect another team to win it this season instead of Napoli.

Roma doesn't have a high probability of winning the Scudetto, but that doesn't mean they don't have the ability. Jose Mourinho is a very good coach, a proven one for that matter and with the right backing and financial support from the board he'll recruit good players that would elevate  the performance of the team and make them one of the the strongest side contending for the league title, but since the club is not very financially capable of backing him up he'll have to manage the ones he's got, although Lukaku is a very fine addition to the team and I believe he'll do his best to help them achieve success this season, probably securing Europa or conference league spot.

From the several facts you mentioned, it is very clear that the Roma team started to look better when coached by Mourinho, but Roma didn't have more star players or players who were very talented so there were always difficulties after fighting hard against their rivals. I have not seen any change from Roma as far as this season concern because Roma just won one game out of four games played, which shows they are not in that good form compared to how their four matches started last season. Roma won three games and drew just one in their four matches last season. But the only thing I saw currently that impressed me was their match against Empoli, where they won 7-0. That shows maybe Roma have picked up great form, and I am not even sure if they will continue with that winning spirit. 7-0 may just be a lucky day for Roma because that is what happens in football sometimes; it is full of surprises some time, so Roma defeated Empoli with many goals, which doesn't make me believe that Roma is in great form, but until I observe many of their matches and I see they continue winning, I can't judge their great form.

What happen with many discussing with AS Roma, first winning over 7-0 from  Empoli is not special achievement due against with weakness opponent team are very bottom standings placed. AS Roma performance not really well after losing 2 of 4 matches and added with their weakness mentality performance when facing top Serie A teams. I think AS Roma still up down in few matches later and can't guarantee with bigger winning score last match make them consistency in the winning trend up coming match. Actually several matches later AS Roma face with weakness opponent teams and their opportunity for returning to the top standings position, will difficult earn three points when facing top opponent teams due last season performance Roma always failed with three points against top standings teams.

I must say that I was surprised by Roma`s excellent signing campaign, transfer and loan campaign. They moved very well, beating very experienced teams like Juventus (I`m referring to Lukaku).

I have a slightly different opinion because I thought Lukaku performance at that time was very good, however it was his first match a starter in Roma and Jose mourinho was already starting to know how Lukaku talent was to try to use it in several match and Mourinho was very confident that Lukaku could be a player who could help Roma to improve the quality of their performance in the next few match.
Lukaku opportunities at Roma will likely be the same as when he was at Inter Milan because AS Roma has a very experienced coach so they can very quickly take advantage of the talent opportunities that Lukaku has to get good final results this season and I think Roma will try to focus again on european league and trying to replace Sevilla.
