You say "to be fair". There are two things to consider about Roma: they have been doing amazing recently ever since Mourinho was gone and De Rossi took over. It will always be hard to dismiss Mourinho because he has had so much success as a coach, but being honest about Mourinho is part of the game. Unwanted incidents just sometime happen in the intense games between big rivals in important matches, Those never happen in a meaningless game like Torino vs Inter.

This game was played flawlessly because the result of the game won't mean anything for both team, therefore the players played freely without any pressure to win the game. For the time being, AS Roma is still in 5th place in the standings and Atalanta is just below it with difference of 2 points, but Atalanta has match against Salernitana which is the bottom team in this season standings.
Salernitana is not strong team and can give big surprise so I sure that Atalanta will definitely win the match and if the points can really be obtained in full then AS Roma will be moved to 6th position.
However, we don't need to worry because there are still several matches that will give AS Roma the opportunity to maintain or reclaim the top 5 position.
