By that I mean, if they think that he is too old to keep on sending on loans, and they want to make some cash, then why the other side would want to get him when they realize even Chelsea doesn't want him, and won't even loan him out? If he is too old to loan for Chelsea, he might be too old for Napoli to buy him right up.

I think it would make more sense if we were to consider the reality that we are talking about Lukaku being a great striker but not worth that much money. I think he worths a lot less, not because of his talents, but because of his situation with Chelsea, that situation alone makes him as cheap as free, because he doesn't want them and they do not want him.
