Keylor is one of the goalkeepers who actually has pretty good reflexes, it's just that it's quite unfortunate when he is at a big club he is always displaced by several young goalkeepers who are in pretty good form because not only in Madrid, a similar fate also happened when he was at PSG so maybe for now it would be better if in the end Keylor was at a club that was a little smaller especially with his current age which is quite old.

The report that Keylor Navas is close to joining Monza I think is a good development considering the fact that Costa Rican's playing time have been very limited at Paris Saint Germaine over the last few years. Italian clubs like you rightly pointed out have been signing veteran goalkeepers this summer. After the Pepe Reina move to Como, it's been reported that former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is also close to joining Genoa and now this report of Navas joining Monza. If all these deals goes through, we'll be seeing experienced goalkeepers in between the sticks next season in the Italian Serie A.

I didn't even know that Pepe Reina was still playing, wow! He is 41 years old but still cooking then.    I assume Buffon has the record in his hands for now by retiring at the age of 45 for now.

This Como team is interesting... They have a roadmap like signing good and old well-known players before the new season starts as it seems. They have risen to the Serie A and I'm really curious about what they will do.    Even holding onto the league would be a good start for them. Sometimes second league teams surprise us by playing for at least top 10 in their first season. Do you think they can go for that as well?

hmm, Keylor Navas is already 37 years old. Even for a goalkeeper that is quite old. it was definitely unlucky to see how his carrier turned out. Because he was in incredible form in Real Madrid. I think Keylor Navas in PSG was one of the most underrated goalkeepers ever. He just got overshadow by Donnarumma. That was really unfortunate. And now I think we can say that he is going towards the end of his career. At 37 years of age, it is really hard to expect with you from a player even if he is a goalkeeper. When it comes to appreciation obviously his experience is going to be appreciated. But better performance will always be more appreciated than experience.

Pepe Reina was even playing for Villareal last season. But Villarreal decided not to extend his contract, and he left as a free agent; then Como took him as a new goalkeeper. It's amazing to see a 41-year-old still active as a goalkeeper in La Liga and Serie A. I hope Pepe Reina to breaks Bufon's record.

It's been a long time since I followed the news about this goalkeeper and he is still active. Even after I checked before, Pepe Reina is at Villarreal, but he is not the main goalkeeper, so his playing time is not much. As for Como itself, they got Pepe Reina on a free transfer. At his age, which is quite old, 41 years old, it will be difficult for him to compete with other goalkeepers competitively in a club. I think with his age now, maybe he will only be at the club for at least a year ahead, and retire, unless he really has plans to go to the Saudi Arabian league. Monza, which has just played in Serie A for two last seasons, but at least the results are quite good for the promotion team because after all, in those two last seasons Monza also managed to finish in the middle of the standings precisely in 11th and 12th positions. I think it is a great act of courage for Italian mid-level teams to add them to the team without fear, because a goalkeeper who is almost 40 years old now has weak reflexes and this may cause his performance to be questioned against strong teams such as Juventus, Inter, Milan, Fiorentina, Napoli. Just because they won a friendly game, doesn't mean Inter is a great team now, they are definitely good team but that has nothing to do with the game itself, they are good because they kept most of the squad from last year and they added some players to it as well. I think the best thing to do in this case would be just focusing on how they could improve, and because of that I honestly think that we could do something nice, we are talking about a situation that could make it work very well for them, it is not going to be all that crazy.

The best thing about Serie A is that we do not know which team could be amazing suddenly, we could see Juventus suddenly be good again too, we have no idea and I am guessing that it is going to take a while, not going to be all that complicated.

We need to make sure of it and could make some great changes as well. Inter is fine, they are the last champions and improved, likely result will be them winning the title again, we just need to make sure that they are doing the right thing. The thing is sometimes most of these players usually are signed by the club not just to play but to add more experience to the team, I will tell when Keylor Navas came to the premier league last two season to Nottingham Forest, I had thought that he has lost it but to be frank he was excellent that season and even benched the starting goalkeeper at that time, so it is not about age sometimes it is how you can carry your body and at this point Navas feels he can still go ahead. Take a look at Buffon he was excellent even at 40, so I think as a free agent this is a good addition to the team. A season or two and by that time they would have  developed a younger goalkeeper under his guidance

Haha I think they all know how to build a better squad but they couldn't do it due to financial constraints, Indeed, they could choose young players, but we know that currently young players also need high salaries and this is the reason why they choose old players because their salaries are lower. Star transfers are always important for Monza. Navas' career is magnificent. He was also very good in his Real Madrid career.
