Freiburg and Bayern Munich are going to face each other once again in the Bundesliga this time. This game is going to be played in a few days. But I must admit that I wasn't expecting Freiburg to beat them even a bit. I thought that Bayern Munich would go for every title they can win in the remaining time of the season. But it looks like the DFB Pokal title wasn't one of them.

Although this game in the league is going to be in Freiburg's home I still expect Bayern Munich to be victorious. Because Bayern Munich are playing different in the Bundesliga. This is another important game for the league title as well. We should see a similar performance to the one they had against Dortmund.

Leipzig 1 - 0 Dortmund after 35 minutes of the game in the last DFB-Pokal Quarter-final match. Needless to say that Dortmund aren't fully into the game and barely threatened Leipzig goalie.

In the other game that finished earlier today, Stuttgart passed after defeating Nurnburg by 1 goal.

It seems that Dortmund is no longer stable, even though they had some good performances in the previous match, and even though they are in second place in the Bundesliga, they are no longer performing well. Due to their performance against Bayern Munich and the fact that they lost the Bundesliga Cup while they could have won this game in Leipzig, which they had a greater control over than the previous game, we don't think they have much hope for the Bundesliga title.

Of course it does, the triple has always been something special in any league. It is the ultimate achievement. I agree that these weird supercups at the beginning of a season don't count that much, or the League Cup in England. But the DFB Pokal still has value. If you compare the personnel from Bayern to any other team and see what Bayern can invest per season compared to those others, it is obvious why this is the case. Look how they benefitted from Lewandowski when they bought him from Dortmund.

Dortmund has to be more successful, but even then they would never be able to keep a player like Haaland for longer than he had to stay because of his clause in the contract. He might have considered Bayern, but I am sure he left the Bundesliga also because the league is not strong and competitive enough.

Real Madrid has delivered another big performance against Barcelona. Now thinking about how Bayern could beat Manchester City and then most likely Real Madrid to then win the final, erm no! I don't see that happening right now.

I think the German Cup matches are different in importance to the Bundesliga matches. It is probably difficult for Bayern to compete in three competitions at once and they favour the Champions League and Bundesliga. I have no other explanation for their loss. Soon we will see how they play against Freiburg again and then we can make conclusions.

What's wrong with Dortmund at the moment, they are having a lot of trouble creating chances even so far as I can see they haven't messed with Leipzig's defense and made any momentum.

I don't really believe in the final result of this match but in fact I have to admit that Bayern Munich did not play well enough in the match even though they had taken the lead earlier through a goal scored by Upamecano but Freiburg played pretty well by being able to equalize fast.

Dortmund declining in performance may be due to their first defeat from Bayern Munich,  I think this victory of Bayern Munich killed their winning mentality. Leipzig would have been an opportunity for Dortmund to top their point to be in the same position with Bayern Munich. From what I'm seeing Bayern Munich might likely win the Bundesliga league again this season because no team is putting effort to maintain their performance to be at the top of the league. The competition in Bundesliga for now is between Union Berlin and Dortmund to maintain the second position in the league. I have doubt if another team can fight for the first position to win the league.

Dortmund's defeat against Chelsea was miserable. Because the Dortmund team was in good form. Chelsea's performance, on the other hand, was completely erratic. Dortmund thought they might have an easy win against Chelsea. But they lost 2-0. I would say Dortmund's weak defense is the reason why Dortmund lost. If Dortmund's defense was strong, they would not have lost against Chelsea. Also, Dortmund lost their last two matches against Bayern Munich and Leipzig due to poor defense. If they fail to tighten up their defense, Dortmund is likely to slip further back in the Bundesliga points table.
