I've been very skeptical about Ten Hag from the start, and this match proved it. How can they possibly be a strong Bundesliga contender when they struggled so much against Chelsea? This is a clear sign that Leverkusen is in decline and won't be able to repeat the success of the previous two seasons. Now, the hope is on Dortmund to prevent Munich from dominating freely.

Judging by this match, I'm not entirely confident that Leverkusen will be able to compete this season. This isn't a guarantee, as it was a friendly, but honestly, since Xabi left, my confidence in them has also waned.

I wouldn't be surprised if Leverkusen suffer a significant setback this season, as it won't be easy, especially with a new coach who, unfortunately, is also considered a failure after his poor record with his previous team. But I don't want to rush things, so I'll be watching them closely for at least the first five matches.

They won't win the championship for another 15-20 years. Because in Germany, teams are divided into two categories: Bayern Munich and the others.

I have always said it that the very moment the idea of landing Erik Ten Hang there as the head coach after he's experiences at Manchester United mehn I just knew that's the down fall of Bayern Leverkusen, Erik Ten Hang was just fortunate to have won the league with Ajax base on the kind of players he's got their, imagine a coach that's not yet familiar with a team then he's first attempt was to sell off some of the key players of the team without good replacement, mean while he doesn't have good experience with coaching like he's not good at all, I think the better the club owners notice this the better for the team.

Even before the kick off, I knew Chelsea were going to take the lead in this game so I did not bother raising my hopes on the game knowing what I am expecting from Leverkusen, playing like when they had xabi as their head coach is something they cannot achieve in the shortest time frame, their new coach will be needing all the time to help him get along with the team and the players and so does the players need to fit in with the playing tactics and systems of the coach all of which will not be achieved in a day so Leverkusen playing against a stable team like Chelsea should not come with too many expectations.

Yes, it is true that after Manchester United, Erik ten Hag entered Leverkusen, since then the team has started to decline. Hag appointment as head coach is not a good thing for Leverkusen, his coaching system is currently in a state of decline and he is not able to show great tactics. Moreover, we saw last night's defeat against Chelsea and their performance was not very good, Leverkusen's team is not bad, strong but their coach is not experienced. Since it was a friendly match, it doesn't matter, but if the team is in a good position for the upcoming season, it is necessary to bring in players. Bayer Leverkusen game against Chelsea yesterday can’t make us think that the team is dead and they can’t have a good season in the league this season, Bayer Leverkusen has played four friendly matches and they won two out of four games which shows that the team can do better in the league, we all know that Erik Ten Hag has failed in Manchester United and people will still be doubting him and be thinking he will also fail in Leverkusen, Bundesliga is different from Manchester United and I don’t think there is a competition in Bundesliga like Premier League where there are many top teams with good players.

Erik Ten Hag can lead Leverkusen to win trophy in Bundesliga if he has good players because if we look at the players that remain in the team some players are not in the team and all the players that leave the team are important, we can’t compare Alonso system to Erik Ten Hag because he will rebuild his team by signing players to the team.

You are right, taking one match such as the Chelsea game as the deathblow is crazy reactionary. For real, such as in 2024, when Leverkusen was literally thrashed 4 - 0 by Liverpool in UCL & nobody turned tail on their season. They still pulled off the famous invincible Bundesliga season & 49 game without a defeat across competitions until heartbreak in the Europa League. Even such preseason missteps as the 2 - 1 defeat against Paderborn & the 1 - 0 one against Real Sociedad did not prevent Alonso's squad from breaking the 2023/24 double. Just sayin,  there is the occasional one-damn-day in a good story, right?

We all were excited to see match between these two teams because fans were in support of Chelsea football team as that team did back to back 2 goals and made game . All things were in the favour of Chelsea football team as that team was at full potential and Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team is not small team and we know the performance of that team in the past. We expected that match could be tough but Bayer 04 Leverkusen team could not do anything in this match.That shots of  Chelsea football team were more in number and these were 24 and 9 shots were on target. The possession percentage of that team was also at top because that was 70 percent in this match passes were also double as comparison to opponent team.

Chelsea is a better team than them and even when they’re being compared on a large level, they’re no where close to what Chelsea can play in terms of overall performance. Eric Ten Hag has come to continue from where Xabi Alonso left from, but I know it’s not going to be an easy task for him but he just have to remain determined.

Since Chelsea dominated them in this game, it doesn’t mean they’ll have a poor season when the league starts fully, it just means that they need to make some adjustments in order to remain strong during the season and not fall to cheap teams when they play in the Bundesliga. You're right am not surprised by the outcome of this game because considering the way and manner that Leverkusen has been selling off all their good players with out getting good replacements for them you expect that Chelsea would have even scored more goals in the game if Leverkusen performance was anything to go by I really see them struggling to even make it to the top four place this season

Turns out, yes. After checking the club's market value, Leipzig even ranked second after Bayern Munich. Leipzig is above Leverkusen, with a value of approximately €486.45 million.

I think Leverkusen defeat to Chelsea was tolerable, as it was a friendly. Besides, Ten Hag and his players still need time to adapt, they are in a transitional period. However, Ten Hag must accelerate his adaptation period so that Leverkusen can perform consistently as they enter the new season. It's understandable that a team missing nearly half of its key players struggles to win.

I understand that Leverkusen defeat is in the spotlight right now because Ten Hag has a poor reputation with Manchester United, but everything will change if Ten Hag can prove his managerial qualities during the new season. I think everyone should be patient and avoid over criticizing him, his performance will only be judged when he enters official competition.
