Yes, they scored twice and won the match, but Flekken was definitely the man of the match in my opinion. I had no idea the Dutch goalkeeper performed like this. Now I have started wondering about their next match against Dortmund. A really tough one it is.

I can see that Bayern Leverkusen beaten to Manchester City is already convincing people they're going to stop Bayern Munich, how can that be if Bayern Munich has not stopped for them to come and do it, are they seeing what there table has for each of them?, a club that is 8 point than there competitors are already a winner. Manchester City shots was always getting blocked whenever they strike even Haaland who could have score with his good chance got blocked again from goalkeeper, more than three goals would have been for Manchester City if not for Mark Flekken who was removing those dangerous strikes.

The thing is that, a winner must emerge in every match and Leverkusen was favored in that match, if we look at the match statistics, Manchester City had 7shots on target against 2 from Leverkusen, I think the statistics says it all, City tried all they could to get a goal or even win as the case may be, but it was a frustrating outcome them, this match has nothing to do with Leverkusen being a problem for bayern, the match they played yesterday was the UEFA champions league despite that it is a strong competition, bayern and Leverkusen are coming from the same league and we know how there matches are, bayern Munich is very in their peak right right, so I don't see Leverkusen doing anything to Bayern, though this is my view.

Well in addition to your view I feel that they could have done better even as the city really threw everything they got at the net and which they even out short Leverkusen just as you have made mention of and from what it looks like they got up to 7 to 2 off target possession at their game, but still on the record that the Leverkusen finished on 2-0, well as for Banyan this showing that all of them are of different breast of together what is running up in my head right now that Leverkusen wins juat shows that they could face top teams.

Manchester City were frustrated by Mark Flekken's performance, keeping Bayer 04 Leverkusen's goal clean. Mark Flekken truly frustrated coach Pep Guardiola with his brilliant performance.

Facing Borussia Dortmund in this week's Bundesliga match will be easier, I think, with the victory over Manchester City as their confidence will certainly be boosted. Playing at Bayer 04 Leverkusen's home ground, the Byarena, certainly gives them the upper hand. If Mark Flekken can maintain his form against City, he will certainly make things difficult and even defeat Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi again.

It will not be possible for Leverkusen to occupy the top spot of the Bundesliga table. The  first thing here is that Bayern Munich's performance is very consistent. So far, the team is undefeated. Bayern munich has shared points in only one match. So if Bayern munich does not lose points, how will any other team reduce the point gap with Munich ?

Bayern Munich is ahead of leverkusen by a huge margin of 8 points. To reduce this point gap, Bayern munich will have to lose 3 matches and Leverkusen will have to win all their matches. As Bayern Munich is in great form , the  possibility of this team losing three matches is low. That is why even if leverkusen can  perform well consistently, it will not be possible for them to occupy the top spot of the table.

If his next opponent in the league was to be a strong team then I won't have criticized him this way but playing their next game against Leeds united doesn't deserve this rotation. I don't know if he wants to focus on the league rather than the champions league but whatever his reasons Bayer Leverkusen really benefitted from it.

A good game for Leverkusen, they got all 3 points and there is no better to way to head to the game against Dortmund. They are currently motivated and I hope they can build on the momentum and try to win against Dortmund too. It will be a really tough game and predicting a winner will be tough too so I my prediction for the game will be BTTS.

This is going to be a very exciting match. Both dortmund and leverkusen have won their last matches in the Champions league. Leverkusen defeated the mighty Manchester City. Which was a complete  surprise. On the other hand , Dortmund secured a 4- 0 win against Villarreal. Leverkusen vs Dortmund is sure to be a very intense match.
My guess is that leverkusen will win. The players are in  high spirits after defeating a strong team like City. Moreover , this is also Leverkusen's home match. If leverkusen can win this match, they will be able to grab the second place in the table. Leverkusen is 2 points behind Leipzig.

Anyone be possible but he will be very difficult for Leverkusen to top the Bundesliga table this season with how bayern Munich are playing i don't think they can overtake Munich anymore because bayern can't be watching and be losing matches in the league with out wining back. Despite losing today, we cannot compare the strength of Arsenal to that of Leverkusen contending against Bayern in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen defeating Manchester City is not a big surprise considering that Mancity are underperforming. Leverkusen are currently eight points behind Bayern Munich, which means that to take over the top of the standings or at least reduce the gap, they must remain consistently strong while hoping that Kompany team drops points in their next three matches. The win over Manchester City in the Champions League has certainly boosted the players confidence, and at a glance they seem to have returned to their best form. Of course, Leverkusen management may need to recruit new players in the January transfer window to maintain their chances of competing for trophies, or at least to put the pressure on Bayern Munich until the end of the season.

I'm not going to lie, I expected a better performance by Bayern, but they got totally dominated and should feel lucky for conceding only 3 goals. They just didn't exist in that game; only made two shots on target which is really poor.

Luckily, Leverkusen and Dortmund saved the honour of German football and won their games despite playing against strong teams.
Leverkusen surprisingly defeated Man City 2-0 in Manchester and Dortmund beat Villareal 4-0 at home.

Eintracht suffered a 3-0 loss to Atalanta at home today, but I don't think anyone expects much of them in the Champions League.

What do you guys think? Could it be a sign of Bayern's decline and will we see them lose points more often?

Bayern Leverkusen current form has been one to talk about in the Bundesliga now. They’ve improved better in their last few games and that’s a show of a challenger coming for Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title this season. They did well last two season’s and won their first ever Bundesliga title, that was very impressive of them.

We expected that they give Bayern Munich more tougher time going forward but they failed to and became weak once again. I hope their new form people are hailing them of will last longer and become productive for them in the title race with Bayern Munich. They’ve show good performances also in the champions league game last night, I applaud their efforts to secure a victory in that match.
