Finally, Bayern Leverkusen success revenge against Dortmund at DFB Pokal Cup round of 16 after defeating last week at Bundesliga match, Ibrahim Maza's goal at 36th minutes helping Dortmund qualify to quarter final. Last meeting at Bundesliga, Dortmund easily defeating Leverkusen 1-2 although as away match but when playing home at DFB Pokal Cup Dortmund failed to secure one spot to quarter final.

Dortmund not performed well for last night match and lack creativities just created 3 shots on target although easily for dominance ball possession, loss opportunity for Dortmund winning DFB Pokal Cup this season exactly is realistic trophy for winning comparison with Bundesliga almost impossible after dominance of Bayern Munich behind many points gap from the 2nd or the top fourth standings team.

Bundesliga giants have enough workload due to their participation in champions league, both have good performance in their league just because of this I feel Borussia Dortmund allow their frontline players to take rest, their coming games against Hoffenheim and champions league are more important.

Previously, they met in the Bundesliga, with Leverkusen suffering a loss. Now, they meet in the DFB-Pokal, with Bayern Leverkusen successfully avenging their previous defeat. However, I don't think they weren't serious in this match, but rather, they were having problems with their play. It was evident that they were having difficulty breaking through Leverkusen's defense.

Priorities are clear and both are playing safe with have good spots in Bundesliga league table while both are also doing good in UEFA Champions League this game provide good practice to their bench players for future but still good win for Bayer Leverkusen. Dortmund mostly prefers Champions League and German League table spots because they are having enough sources, and they always keep things in good balance.

There is no doubt Bayern are the better sides, Union Berlin don't stand a chance except luck favors them. The last five games has been terrible for Berlin, watching there performance deteriorate is going to affect them against Bayern who has been stable and competitive, Berlin will need the greatest luck to take points from Bayern for a draw or win.

Union has been a fair side with their performance lately, I see that they try so well not to be flawed by opponents, this season has not been a bad one for them so far even if it has been filled with too many average performance, but Bayern Munich is not at their level definitely and so a game against Bayern Munich will mean some tough one for them, but I know even Bayern Munich will not get it any easy either, but Bayern Munich is the favourite for this fixture and us already leading by 3 goals meanwhile union has got two goals already, I hope it does not end with a draw.

Obviously we are talking about a team that has to do a lot better, they need to be second place and closer to Bayern, not third place and behind Leipzig, but I think they will get there eventually, not closer to Bayern unfortunately for them, but at least above Leipzig and reach second place.

We are going to see things change and see a much better approach here. What we could do here is bet on Dortmund to win, because they are a good team and have a great shot at winning this game as well. Not that I know anything, it's all a surprise to us, we learn about it with time, but that is not going to be ok at all for them if they lose.

Leverkusen has not actually lost their way they are already looking like they have found their missing key though in the beginning they were suffering from a bad experience from their then manager that's why they dropped those points which they are supposed to have collected but waking up now and picking back some points means a lot at least they may not catch up with Bayern Munich but the top 4 will be sure if they don't drop points again.

Something worth highlighting is that, for a team that has gone through some very bad experiences since Xabi left, they have managed to maintain a certain level They haven't lost everything like some other teams have they've managed to stay afloat, and that's something to admire. What made it surprising was that in the previous match last weekend, Leverkusen played at home but actually lost. Three days later, they played in the DFB Pokal and even played away at Borussia Dortmund's home, managing to turn things around from the loss three days earlier by winning away. This is what made it surprising, especially for Dortmund fans who were disappointed because they had to be eliminated from the German Cup competition. Actually, that was their only chance to get a trophy this season. In the German league, they are far behind Munich in points, and in the Champions League, it is certainly very difficult to win the title amidst strong European teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, other German teams, or teams from the Premier League.

Today Bayern managed to beat Union Berlin (a club that broke their long winning streak few weeks ago) 3-2 in an away game.
I haven't seen the game or even highlights of it, but looking at the stats, things can be a bit concerning for Bayern:


How can a club from the bottom half of the league table dominate the Bundesliga champion that much?
Shots on goal could be deceiving and not give a fair picture of the game, but the fact is, Bayern was not very effective in their attack, they conceded 2 goals and 2 of the goals scored for Bayern were own goals by Union's players.
Could it be a sign of Bayern's decline? Or have they taken a more relaxed approach today, as DFB-Pokal is probably not their top priority.

Another good match tonight is Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayer Leverkusen.
They played each other in the league just three days ago, and Dortmund beat Leverkusen 2–1 away from home.
Leverkusen played well in that match, but they couldn’t avoid the defeat.

My prediction is that Borussia Dortmund will win.

Yesterday we saw match of DFB-Pokal and that was good match because both teams did good effort to win this match but winner was Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team. That stats was not good but tried to do goal in this match and opponent team defense was not strong and they could not stop the ball and we saw good game . The shots of Borussia Dortmund football team were more in this match and these were 15 and 3 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was also brilliant in this match which was 67 percent and opponent team possession was 33 percent . Maza was a person who did goal in the first half of the match and he did this goal at 34 minutes of the match . The shots of Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team were less in this match and these were only 7 and  2 shots were on target.

With 8 points more than a second position held by Leipzig, Bayern Munich truly have a very big and safe diffference for taking Bundesliga trophy in this season. It's a work that is very familiar with Bayern Munich and they have done it successfully in many seasons for being a most dominating club in Bundesliga in the league history.

In this season, there is no signal of flippening from other clubs in Bundesliga while Bayern Munich have shown their super strength and the other clubs have not shown enough quality, consistency and challenge against Bayern Munich. I don't think it's a decline in performance, it's just that Bayern Munich is saving their energy for more important matches, because in the next few days they will face VfB Stuttgart and then Sporting CP, they are maintaining the physical and mental condition of their main players for these two crucial matches which are more decisive for their ambitions in the Bundesliga and Champions League, so they prevent burnout and injuries as much as possible, especially with key players who need rest to maintain peak performance when it truly matters. while Union Berlin played with nothing to lose, even though in the end they lost, they put up a strong fight and made Munich work harder than expected.

For me this game says a lot more about where Bayern are heading rather than Union "overperforming".

Union being bad in the league but nasty to big clubs - is exactly their thing. Their style scales up. When they go into battle with a giant, they don't go and try to "play", they turn it into a wrestling match - long balls, throws, set-pieces, 50/50s. That's kryptonite for teams like Bayern and Chelsea that want clean and pretty possession football.

Look at the week as a package:
Leeds tear into Chelsea. Union tear into Bayern. Same idea, different leagues. The only real difference is outcome. Chelsea get they what the performance deserved. Bayern don't - because of two own goals and Neuer + time-wasting just enough at the end.

And this is where I'd be a bit harsh on Bayern: take away Musiala, take Pavlovic away in the middle of the game, stick them on a bad pitch and all of a sudden there's no real open play threat. That's not what a "machine" looks like, that's what a team on a hot-streak looks like.

Your point of if Union led first, Bayern maybe don't win is I guess where I kind of land. If Union ever get the scoreboard to match the xG in these fixtures, Bayern are in trouble. And in Europe there is Union's "template" what Arsenal already did to them: same chaos, just with better players.

So yeah, entertaining cup tie big respect to Union - but underneath, this felt like Bayern living on borrowed time, not showing off their power.

The talk about recovery made it seem like they are in some very terrible situations, ordinarily on a cumulative, Leverkusen is an average team, the erra of xabi was more like an icing on the cake but we just know that the actual form of this team is average and except there be a prolonged dimensional alterations, it will only be temporary for them to stand out at some point but will later retreat to their Normal.  I agree that the coach is doing a good job with Leverkusen, hopefully they will be able  to get back to the form they were when they had xabi.

Yes, the defeat wouldn't have been surprising, except it happened two seasons ago. I don't think Leverkusen's performance this season has been particularly good. This season, they've lost three of their 12 matches, unlike last season, when they lost three in a single season. The loss of several key players has significantly reduced Leverkusen's quality. I don't currently see Leverkusen as a contender in the Bundesliga. But I can't say Leverkusen are a bad team. It's not even halfway through the season yet. So, we need to wait a few more matches to see how all the teams perform. Honestly, I'm still looking forward to Stuttgart and Frankfurt's performances because I think they should be able to qualify for the Champions League.
