Bayern Munich are not dropping anywhere from the table standing of the league and have also been consistently winning their games including the just concluded one with Bremen which ended in a three goals to none win over the Bremen guys. I won’t see this as any form of loss from the side of the Bayern Munich but more wins instead. Dortmund on the other side are also doing well lately but with 7 points gap behind the Bayern Munich side and I know they are so interested in winning the title but Bayern Munich wouldn’t allow such thing to happen. With 22 matches already played, there are still over 10 games yet to be played which could bring about the victory any of these teams are yearning for.

I think Kompany is targeting the Champions League trophy more because the challenge is more difficult than in the Bundesliga. He will be more focused on improving the team's performance because in the knockout stages they will face a comparable opponent, whereas in the Bundesliga they can do it easily. Bayern Munich is almost certain to win the Bundesliga trophy again due to their rivals' inconsistent performances in recent matches, while in the Champions League they will have to maintain their consistent performance if they want to win the most prestigious trophy.

Dortmund haven't been able to win in the Champions League for 3 games. They have been the opposite of their performance in the Bundesliga there. But I think this will change tonight.

I know there is a tough Leipzig game away in 4 days. But you wouldn't expect a single rotation against Atalanta tonight of course. This is a round they can get past. I expect a win by them and then do the same against Leipzig...

Dortmund won the Champions League game and kept a clean sheet. The match wasn’t difficult for Dortmund to win, I thought it would be a game where Atalanta would pull out a surprise performance to prevent Dortmund from defending the three points at home. Dortmund will face Leipzig on Saturday after the Champions League game, the players may be exhausted from the game, the next game will be difficult compared to Leipzig that have been resting for the whole week.

Actually this schedule wouldn't have any negative impact on Dortmund concerning the league because I don't consider them as a potential contender for the German bundesliga title, I know it's going to be a bit stressful for the team haven to play in this playoff to secure a place in the round of sixteen but it's a necessity that they can't avoid at the moment and so they have to accept their fate and hope for the best.

Yes. Dortmund achieved a crucial victory and that's a good thing. This victory puts Dortmund one step closer to qualifying for the Round of 16. In that match Dortmund performed exceptionally well, creating nine attempts two of which were on target and three big chances. This proves Dortmund's formidable attack is indeed formidable.

The current Dortmund coach must rotate players although not all of them especially since Dortmund still has a chance to compete with Muenchen at the top of the standings with only a six point difference. Therefore maintaining player fitness is a must for the Dortmund coach.

And Dortmund did well in winning yesterday's game I was expecting the game to be tougher than what it was since they are playing against Atlanta let's see what they will play next, when they go to the home of Atlanta but since they have a lead of two goals already so they can either add more goal or go all defensive which ever way they have to protect that two goals and its good for them that they were able to score two goals and that is one of the tactics to survive in the knockout stage score and then protect your net at all cost that is just the way.

Actually this schedule wouldn't have any negative impact on Dortmund concerning the league because I don't consider them as a potential contender for the German bundesliga title, I know it's going to be a bit stressful for the team haven to play in this playoff to secure a place in the round of sixteen but it's a necessity that they can't avoid at the moment and so they have to accept their fate and hope for the best.

In as much as you may not want to consider Dortmund as a contender for the German title, they are the next best contender after Bayern Munich in that league, only that the point difference is just much and they may no longer want to chase it but that second spot in the table is a good one they will want to maintain so it can be stressing to them having  these series of games to play in a multiple at a time.
