Winning the Balon d’Or is still not out of his plans and with the way that Kane is playing, there is a good chance he could stand a good opportunity to win it one day. I have also heard that he’s going to be participating in the 2030 World Cup which would make him amongst the top aged players to actually represent his country in the World Cup. If he continues with this great form at Bayern Munich, added with winning a champions league trophy come the next three seasons, I feel he’ll stand a good chance for the title. He just needs to work more on how his performance in that world cup would be and try to reach at least the finals of the competition. Borussia Dortmund won its first title of the 2026–2027 season yesterday. In the Emirates Cup final, Dortmund defeated Arsenal London 3–2 at London’s Emirates Stadium.
for me, it was a surprising victory. i had expected Arsenal to win the trophy again. but it’s good that Dortmund won.
that might give the team a big confidence boost for the upcoming season.

He is no longer as good as he used to be, but if he was currently in his prime then his performance in the Bundesliga would have been much more than this but even now he is still going wonders, he is definitely one of the top contenders for the Ballon d'Or and his is just another proof that age doesn't hinder talent in football, most players at his age would have retired but himself and a few others are still defying the odds and going strong.

To be honest, I think Bayern Munich is a club that is very calculating, based on the performance of the players, they consider how long it would be good to keep that player in the team and how important it is for them. Arsenal has won the Cup on several occasions but Dortmund on Sunday played better and deserved the win.
Mikel Arteta seems like he's checking his options and trying to blend the new players with the team. Hopefully, we'll not see such scoreline when the season officially kicks off.

The tournament has been but no much attention has been paid because it's just another friendly game. Btw, was there any way we could have expected any other team to be more successful than Arsenal since there's no qualification and Arsenal handpicks their opponents yearly. They can decide when to win and when not to win by their choice of invitation.
