Hi, when will the block explorer update? But it shows data from the old branches that go before the 600k block

Expanse block explorer seems not working correctly. http://www.expanse.tech/explorer/is saying that last block 60053 is found 3 minutes ago. Actually miningpoolhub and dwarfpool is mining at 600294 block height Bittrex's expanse wallet is on same chain too. Transactions confirmed correctly. Network forked at 600000? Or just expanse block explorer not updated to latest wallet? Seems very few miners are hardly finding blocks at old chain. |

The explorer had inaccurate mixed data from older nodes reporting to it, it has been updated to only poll data from updated nodes and its data is being rebuild and verified. It will take about 10-15 minutes to rebuild the database and verify all its data accurate. |

(Code change is trivial and we are going to put it on Testnet, only takes a soft fork) This would change nothing for 80 years, just in 80 years no more new Expanse would be generated with Block rewards so people can no longer say "Expanse tokens are infinite!" They never were unless Expanse lasts for infinity, but by this simple change it would make Expanse more limited in the long run like Bitcoin and Dash. At block 42,000,000 the EXP block reward will go to 0. That's about 80 years from now About 350m EXP total. It is crucial for EXP to have a small supply right now. Expanse isn't some high traffic coin where people will use it as a currency a billion times a day. If the market becomes too diluted with Expanse tokens, the supply side will outweigh the demand side, bringing the value of EXP down. The smaller supply also brings in speculators trying to buy more as Expanse becomes more valuable due to its scarcity. A lot of attention came to Expanse when it had the super pump on Poloniex when the supply was crazy small. Despite what people say about pump and dumps, money talks and providing benefits or positive outlooks will drive the price of Expanse up. Even more if the supply is small. Expanse is currently on Poloniex, which is a huge feat, but trading volume has to keep up with big price swings or it will get chopped, despite the development and usefulness of Expanse. Exchanges make money from buys and sells happening. I recommend keeping the supply lower to 100,000,000. As EXP can be broken down, there is no need to have a large supply. Sure, some will get lost, but as mentioned above, I can't see EXP having a billion transactions a day. |

Wow, amazing news! Getting a spot at the Collision tech conference is a huge opportunity. Expanse will get a lot of great exposure from being there! Expanse being marketing in China and being traded for the Yuan is very promising also! I'm extremely excited for the future of Expanse |

Anyone running parity, please turn off your nodes until 1.7.0 is released you are not on the right chain. The exp hardfork params werent included in the 1.6.6 release of parity. In the meantime downloading the last EXP wallet from the mist repo works perfectly and syncs to the right length chain. http://www.github.com/expanse-org/mistAll of the seed nodes, official pools, and exchanges are on the same chain. Just a few stragglers are mining the wrong one. How can we better inform yall of updates? |
