Congrats to the Expanse team on the evolution to DPOS!? Is there any sort of planned time frame?

After reading it again, it seems like the term "dPoS" used may be different than what I was thinking. Will this be similar to the Lisk and Shift delegated proof of stake system where validators are voted up by the community? Or is the "bond" of 10k (and likely a VPS or other very stable setup) the only requirement?

Based on my understanding anyone can be a Validator as long as they have the required amount of EXP.

What does seem interesting to me though is that Lisk hasnt done too well with dpos in terms of price.

Is there a reason why LISK hasnt and how can we make EXP perform better with dpos?

Its worth highlighting a few differences which makes this a unique implementation.

1. EXP is using tendermint to implement dPos and based on info from James/Chris it can do 10K tx's per second.
2. EXP will also have a corresponding bond system that will allow people to earn interest for various investment levels. The benefit is that they dont have to keep their computers on all the time.
3. LISK only allow 101 validators which are voted in through a voting platform. This limits the people who can become validators leaving the rest to sell on an exchange.

Come to think of it can these bond be packaged and traded on an exchange?

This is an early draft rather than a white paper, but this gives the specifics of where we are at with the major updates coming.

stable price and low volume it not good for trading

low volume at a stable price is relative to there being little sell pressure, as price discovery solidifies a resistance to bounce off of.

As the various modules and dapps mature EXP will become a leading crypto project and will make way for some institutional investing.

I think right now we're still seeing a lot of sell pressure from miners who sell on a daily basis which puts pressure on the price.

With POS/Bonds this sell pressure will go away and EXP should reverse the trend and start reaching new highs on a weekly basis.

I wont be surprised if there is a significant increase in the near future and then slow rise.

Over the next year my expectation and hope is that there will be some high level partnerships that will really put EXP at the top of the crytpo chain.

I dont concern myself with daily movements but given the changes coming to EXP we should see a steady uptrend.

After EXP my prediction is that we will go all the way to 1m sats.

Assuming you're an ARK shill trying to FUD expanse ill give you a little comparative analysis on how far behind ARK is when you compare it with EXP.

The ARK site shows that they will be able to do "ultrafast" transactions at 200 transactions per MINUTE.

With EXP we're looking at 10,000 transactions per second.
