... But need list of working peers. Anyone can share output from admin.peers command? Thanks
Looks like just Andreas' (?) node is up: admin.addPeer("enode://77b71660f5cb025e337bfb9bebf0c71001849fab8786d7b13fe3e081841f35cbf463cfc46fd570ef09829553524806be76b051e4f16afa7daf77265eb9733335@192.241.129.165:39420") Btw. block #1000000 was found, do we have any party? Ok, we have a party in the post above! Yay! Just sent some spare SOIL.

Yes - to celebrate, I created a useful gift for the SOIL community. Solving an old-and-frequent problem. It was surprisingly difficult, there were quite some obstacles in the way. But in the end, I got it working: ... need list of working peers. Anyone can share output from admin.peers command? Thanks
Solved, once and for all, now: 1 0 0 0 0 0 0addPeer()The block explorer ABEESOIL auto-generates addPeer() commands, with all the peers it is connected to, plus itself: ABEESOIL: /#/util/peers 178.62.133.174:9001/#/util/peersYou also get to that page by clicking: ABEESOIL --> v0.2.5 --> chain summary --> scroll down --> "Is Connected, Peers Count" New function, hooray. And in the shape of a birthday cake Thanks. Edit: retweet.

... need list of working peers. Anyone can share output from admin.peers command? Thanks
Solved, once and for all, now... Thanks altsheets for that functionality. Installed new mining pool for SOIL: http://soil.miners-zone.net/- payments every 4 hours,
- getwork/stratum support,
- support mining over ethminer, eth-proxy, ether-proxy, claymore dual miner,
- JSON stats.

my apologies that i havent gotten everything set back up yet. its a pretty stressful time here in my house, finances are bad, and im putting in as much real world work as i can to simply put food on the table. im managing to sneak in a couple hours a night in working on SOIL, and i hope that once the financial crunch has passed, i cn start focussing more on SOIL again. i SHOULD have the website back up by tonite, im done editing and such. i havent abandonded this project by any eans, but as i rely on a small pension to pay the bills and my expenses have shot up in the last month, its rough to make ends meet, or even come within the same zip code. trying to get enough money together to catch up on rent, pay the bills enough so we dont get cut off and put food on the table for my wife and son. ive dropped thirty five pounds over the last month, which is far too much for me, down now to 140 pounds, standing 6'4". thank you al for your patience and understanding. i still believe in this project very strongly, and have a thousand ideas for dApps to build upon it that would make a difference in our world. ive had to use my devlopers reserve to actually get thru last month, but even with no major stake in this currency, i plan on continuing working on it as long as we remain viable. its going to take a bit of restructuring, and we will need to look at a fork on the blockchain to implement homestead protocol changes (which will ensure a stable blocktime and distribution curve) with this fork, it may become necessary to rebuilt community reserves and developers funds, especially to pay for server costs which are presently beyond my means. as a community, what do you fine folks think about that? i value the input.

New Soil Mining Pool: soil.4miners.net- 0% fee for until 28 August
- Payments for TX fees are payed from pool pocket. Pool distributes all rewards gathered from mining, including TX fees and uncle rewards.
- 1 Soil Minimum payout threshold. Payouts run every 4 hours.
- Static difficulty for miners: 2,000 millions.
- PROP system. When block is found, the reward is distributed among all workers proportionally to how much shares each of them has found.
- Strong dedicated server with failover and DDoS protection.
- Support for Stratum and GetWork.
Happy mining. We also released statistics for Soil: stats.soil.4miners.netConfig to add your node: "WS_SERVER" : "ws://stats.soil.4miners.net", "WS_SECRET" : "SoilForever!",

How much are server costs?
Not much. I can provide a Vultr instance for a couple of months. I can set it up with apache, php, whatever is needed - or I can just provide the login and you do it all yourself. How big is the Soil blockchain now? Maybe others could chip-in to provide it longer term or upgrade it if necessary?

2 new pools <-- collective bountyIs there any working pools?
Someone who can make a pool for us? No time, but I can pledge 500 SOIL into a collective bounty for someone who sets up a pool, and hosts it for at least 6 months. Who else wants to contribute to this bounty? I'll take a part! 500 soil from me too. Did you get a pool up? I can donate too...
Thx to Crypto*Digger (question), markus124 (info), Dale Hackbart (call for expertise), altsheets (pledge 500 into collective bounty), Shkembe (500 too), skidog (donate too) ExEric3 (pool 1) Mariuszeq (pool 2) So: (1) WE GOT 2 NEW POOLS FOR SOIL, AMAZING. Thanks to everyone involved! (2) We have 500 + 500 + ? ? ? ? SOIL to distribute now. Anyone else out there who's community-aware-and-not-only-shortterm-selfish - and wants to add to that pool bounty? (3) As I am not a miner, I can not confirm that either or both pools are working as expected. Please you try them, and tell us: more infos in those two posts. (4) Pool owners: Please publish your (ideally new, fresh, unused, empty) addresses here - then we donators can decide ourselves how to distribute our money (all to the first one to solve it; or give to the one whose design we like more, or share it 50:50, or double the donation, or ... whatever ...) And perhaps leave the donations in that address for a while, so that we see how everyone decided (just being curious). (5) Donators: Consider to announce here when you have sent some money. 'Do good - and then make sure to talk about it.' Thanks for participating. This is how true cooperation can look like in cryptoland. Very happy

How big is the Soil blockchain now? Maybe others could chip-in to provide it longer term or upgrade it if necessary? Its not just about one server instance whole network. It should be decentralised around a world. Core nodes places at all locations America Europe Australia Asia. Where are other services like network stats, domains, web hosting maybe community mining pool.

Try this: 1) Double click the 'start_gsoil.bat', your gsoil console should open. 2) Go to altsheets' peer list: http://178.62.133.174:9001/#/util/peers3) Copy and paste the list to your gsoil console, confirm with enter. 4) The block synchronisation should start. . . . 5) Once you've downloaded the blockchain, start mining. E.g. with the 'solo_mining_CUDA_(NVIDIA)_GPU.bat'.

... "3) Copy and paste the list to your gsoil console, confirm with enter." And what I see.Nothing happens(.If write command - show error. ... Looks like there is something going wrong with the copy&paste? Have a look at your screenshot above, some charakters are missing/messed up. The lines from altsheets' list look more like: One of the lines: admin.addPeer("enode://1927c47ce3c307f8fbe163da06b84ec893b551b9aae23fd47c7840aa83ed40e246771fab32c59c92539acf5557bcc439dca2b454b34830f3056efdb12e6980f6@37.187.27.4:39420") Might be time consuming, but can you maybe type the line above into your console?
