Can gambling be profitable in long term ?

There are very few people that manage to be long term winners in the long run in the card games, specially Poker. They are very few and I suspect some of them use the Poker earnings as some kind of money laundering(like Walter White did for some time).

I have no idea how to become one of them. It is for few and you'll risk good money in your try

You are right here. Skills based games like poker has a chance to make you win for a long term because here you are not really depending just in your luck. You are helping your luck here by doing some strategy to make you win in every deal. Much better to save up those profits because others players are doing this too when you are in the table.

The answer can be yes and it can be also no depending on the LUCK of the gambler. Actually you earn more than that everyday but you can also lose more than what can you afford to lose everyday. Gambling(for gamblers) isn't really made for profit , it's solely made for entertainment purposes ( my opinion )

I do agree with ^ as there is big difference in the meaning of both sentences.People are mixing both if we talk gambling for long term isn't profitable whereas in long run/long session it can be quite profitable for this I second you.

1% house of edges is considering low..

because look at casino that has more than 5 % of edges...so even with the smallest house of edges we still loss...try to figure something here...

I think the only gambling that can be truly profitable in the long term will be smart investing.  Now it depends on what investment sites or stocks you consider "smart" but if you do enough research into this kind of thing, then you can make a good profit if you keep your money in the investment for the long term to get the most profit.

At sometimes even very good gambler looses.I don't think anyone just wins always in long term.When two professional gamblers play one of them looses.Casinos are which win in long run not the gamblers this is my point.

What ever your thinking is really correct. Gambling shouldn't be a professional instead should gamble for fun or some times. Most of the gambling games require luck but luck comes only some times, at all the time so if one gamble for long time there are more chances he/she may lose the money instead making money. I always gamble for fun some times.

I dont think that health is the correct thing to be compared with gambling. People may healthy in long term because there are many ways to keep their healthy, in other side there is only luck can keep people's profit on gambling.

I think the better term is , staying for a long run but it doesn't mean gamblers is making profit here. It's just like win , lose , win , lose so still the starting investment is not gaining profit or it's not lessen much that's why it can keep for a long run but still the ending is lossing. Waste of time and effort.
