AEON (COIN LOGO) Version 12.4 The Private blockchain, i like it. YES Version 12.4 is perfect. Now who wants to design a website so we can start doing a better job branding and marketing Aeon?

First of all, great logo. Second, I agree that 'private blockchain' could possibly be confused with whatever silliness Ms. Masters, Mr. Dimon, and the R3 initiave is peddling. But privacy and fungbility are again, not kewl add-on features of a currency: they are essential components. That's why perhaps we shouldn't try to qualify ourselves. We just *are*. Aeon: True Digital Money Aeon: The First Electronic Cash Aeon: Perfect Money, Realized Aeon: Anonymous Electronic Cash Aeon: Personal Private Asset

True, but privacy and fungibility are also Aeon's unique selling points (relative to mainstream crypto). And in a way, we're not just trying to sell Aeon here - it's also case of selling privacy and fungibility to an increasingly ignorant Facebook generation. In order for Aeon to succeed, people first have to be aware of the need for privacy and fungibility. There is an educational dimension which may need to be concurrently marketted in some form. I agree though that the phrase "The Private Blockchain" is ambigious and probably not suitable. Opaque Blockchain could work - doesn't seem to have a nice ring to it though. Perhaps 'The Invisible Blockchain?' Or:- AEON: The Decentralized Private Blockchain AEON: Confidential Transactions Having said all that, a tag-line isn't necessarily a requirement. Just something I was playing around with.

I like Aeon: Anonymous Electronic Cash A more accurate phrase would probably be Aeon: Untraceable Electronic Cash because when talking about anonymity (which would have to mean perfect anonymity) we're most commonly talking about the anonymity of the users, not so much the cash. Also, bear in mind that Aeon could be the basis for much more in the future. So, yeah, predominantly a currency (as represented by the symbol) but based upon an obfuscated blockchain that could conceivably do other stuff.

Opaque is no good. But untraceable is a cool word, and helps people understand the power. How much wealth did people seek to hide in Swiss bank accounts over the last century?

Untraceable is already in use by Monero. It might be better to pick something different for Aeon

You don't see Anonymous having to explain to people that a member could be discovered and therefore not be anonymous--if you get too nit-picky, you'll probably end up choosing something that's factual but meh on the cool scale.

I don't know anything about coding let alone coding cryptography. All I know is about branding, memetics, subliminal advertising, neurolinguistic programming and making money. I'm assuming somebody somewhere is injecting as much passion into Aeon's code as I am into negotiating the aesthetics.

That's why I say go the other way: instead of appealing to logic, lets appeal to emotion. Sure it's anonymous, untracable, decentralized, etc, but what do all these qualities lead to? A hyperbolic verb. Some people will see a glistening description and be intrigued, some will be upset and investigate the coin trying to disprove the claims, and some will just remember the tagline because unlike most currencies in the world - we are appealing to the world properly. So instead of trying to accurately describe all the great qualities of Aeon in a few words, fuck it, let's flip the table and if someone has a problem with it they can come try to disprove the claims. Aeon: Perfect Digital Object. Aeon: Luxury Cryptonote. Aeon: Ideal Money. Aeon: True Digital Cash. Aeon: Welcome to Smartmoney. Aeon: Next Generation Smartmoney. Aeon: Tomorrow's Money... Today.
