Most of the newly created altcoins aren`t very legit and trusted.

Some altcoin creators are just creating new ponzi schemes.

Bitcoin is pseudonymous, You are totally wrong. I'd like to say they have compared bitcoin with crypto caused by it's about the features of crypto. I don’t know about other people but I can tell my approach towards bitcoin. When I first time heard about any crypto currency, it was a bitcoin. In fact, when I heard about bitcoin then I came to know about crypto currency technology so naturally as first come first serve basis, I started using bitcoin and while exploring the world of crypto currencies I came across various alt coins but still I am with bitcoin because many reasons which mainly includes strong community, huge market capital, good core team & strong value and potentials (not just price).

I don't think that is the reason, some of the alt coins have their own team development to increase their coins feature and performance however they didn't succeed to attract user and company to adapt their coins, bitcoin can become the indicator because bitcoin is famous and the first crypto currency, it's the strongest crypto currency for now, so we used bitcoin as the indicator

what i keep seeing is the same clones with different code but the sane goal : pump and dump and more profit.

People compare bitcoin to another digital currency because people like to compare things. That's basically it, it's our nature to compare things that are similar or falls into the same category and then later on pick the best one. We use bitcoin mostly because it's the first crypto-currency (I know people would say just because it's the first one doesn't mean it's the best. Yeah, I know. But in this case, it is.), it's the original one, and it has a solid foundation.

Altcoins are just a copy of bitcoin's concept and most of the time, an altcoin quickly dies. If you invest in an altcoin especially the new ones, you might wake up one day and the price has already been dumped. You'd feel you've been scammed by the dev, that the promises weren't achieved and all. Well, that's just how it goes. In bitcoins, it's quite hard to dump the whole market unlike altcoin where sometimes the coin even reach 1 satoshi per coin.

Actually i dont know what are the other digital currency, all i know is bitcoin. Since i joined bitcoin, i realized that bitcoin is the most i like even i don't know that there are other currency, why? because it gives me freedom of what i want to share, i can get information about trading and investing where these are the good ways to have profit, and can help earning money in such ways that will help you of what you want.

Being the most popular cryptocurrency and being the one  used by the majority of people makes bitcoin the most advanced among other altcoins. In my own opinion, since bitcoin is the one being used by most people, many will see bitcoin as more dependable than any other altcoin. As I think of it, why would I choose another cryptocurrency if bitcoin is there and that is already popular to many and there had been positive feedbacks from its many users?

Ya it is true that bitcoin is the main source of valuation for other altcoins and almost all coins are depended on bitcoin so obviously every one will like bitcoin only but in some altcoin you can invest as they give you more returns in bitcoins
