I agree that $1,000 is very unlikely by the end of December, probably less than 2% chance - but $500 is very doable and may even have greater than 20% odds.

Regarding christmas spending possibilities affecting btc price, I would not place too much weight into those kinds of consumption inclinations contributing to the quantity or quality of BTC's price movements, whether short or long term.

500 is still very feasible, remember that bitcoin in just three days increased by 100% in the last pump, so it's not about the time needed, but about the luck if it will happen in a short time frame like that

luck is involved by premises and certain conditions that unleashed the demand

Given the economic news out of China, coupled with them being able to buy Bitcoin direct through their native exchanges, I'm starting to think the current price rise might last.

 I can't think of ANY other reason we're not still drifting down after the last spike.

I don't think we'll see this happen this year anymore. It seems like bitcoin is having a hard time to stay at a solid $400.
I think we should be lucky to close the year with $400. I am pretty confident that we weill hit $500 again sometime next year.

Well if in the christmas the price is around 450 dollars than I well just search a good deal to buy some good stuff.

This is really hard to predict, bitcoin is having a really hard time balancing on the $400, and for bitcoin to raise in value up to $500, something big has to happen. A big pump would need to happen for it to get that high.

I am hoping for this as well. A good solid $400 would be great to end the year with. Bitcoin has made a lot of progress so far.
I really want this to happen so we can get start off the new year with a decent amount.

We will see if it reach 600 dollars, but I think that bitcoin will just be around 450 dollars.
The bitcoin price right now is just around 395 dollars so actually is so close, but is still a good price.

You never know. If China is really in a pumping mood, then it could happen within a few days. This month has 3 weeks left, in this time period everything can happen.

Kinda hard to tell. If a pump comes on then yes we'll be able to reach $500 for sure. We're not that far away.
But I would be happy enough if we end this year on a good $400 though.

Agree. Literally and honestly, bitcoin can pump even at 200%. Everything is possible. Look like others forget the 280-500 rally in just a matter of few days. Its free to speculate but first make a strong supporot about it.

And FYI for all here, even Christmas season is coming, I said this many times in other thread, still it will not pull much the price down.

Why?

First of all, the rumors and expected output before halving so many targets to buy coins everytime the price will dip.

Second, expect more pumpers this Christmas, they are waiting for the expected sudden dump so the price will not decrease too much as expected.

I believe it's do-able. We just need a pump, doesn't even have to be a big one, by a big one I mean a 100% raise in value.
I can still see this happen, we still got at least 20+ days to reach this, anything can happen with bitcoin.

Maybe will reach it and go back to 400 dollar and stable around that.
