Will BTC reach $600 during the first month of the new year?

As the price reached 500 dollar last month but it didnot last for some hours above it, I think the price can reach it again if there won't be any surprising news that may occur and affect the price again

The price last month had not reached $500, the maximum that i saw was $477 and it was only for few minutes.

The answer to that question is fairly easily researched, and on bitstamp (which is frequently the BTC price reference point, unless specified otherwise), BTC's price reached $502 on November 4, and several times for about 4 hours surrounding that $502 price peak, BTC traded at $495 on Bitstamp.

Yikes many hoping now for $500 unlike when the price is on $320. Basing on movement huh.

Anyways bears winning as of Im posting this but not that much. Only a small percentage. Look like an attempt for the bulls to make panic selling is quite hard to achieve. Really a good sign.

Yes panic selling are possible in a rapid pumping. But last week bitcoin traded very slowly and broke the $400 mark in third attempt after failed in it's first 2 testing of $399. I strongly believe that $400 would be the new bottom, so we can see the prices trading in range of $480 to $520 before settling there.

Me too I see $400 as new bottom. If we will based in previous happenings, there are lots of failed attempts happen at $300-$400. Now above $410, we can still see many are accumulating coins without fear. Last night here in my time ther are fast dump preformed by the bears that leads the price to up to $5 in just a matter of seconds but still get back in track. Here you can see it minimizes the panic selling because many set their targets at $500 but hopefully not because if their targrt is $500, panic selling will really happen and the price will down again at around $400 in just few hours.

I don't think this will happen just yet. It's safer to just hold your bitcoins for now or buy if you can.

Anyone can speculate. But you noticed the support the price is getting now? More bulls are entering. Its good to see green lights at the bottom of the chart.

Your hope is not realistic at all.

Surely it is possible that the bitcoin price will gravitate towards the lower $400s for a period of time, but the probabilities are very slim that it would just stay here without a bit more violent actions - in either direction.  We have witnessed way too much attention to bitcoin since late august, as the price began to slowly move up.. and the whole price movement and even apparent disagreements about price, resulting in considerable increases in volume and violent spikes demonstrates that short-term volatility is far from over.. and most likely going to continue, at least through December and possibly a few months into 2016.

At this point, the deck has been stacked with volatility cards, and wishing that it weren't so, seems to be a considerable detachment from the reality of our current situation.

Also we seem to be inclined towards upward price movement, but nothing is really inevitable in bitcoinlandia, so we should remain prepared that the price could go in either direction, even though upward seems the more likely candidate..

In any event, tldr - non volatility is not in bitcoin's short-term future.
