Scale quantum computers do not exist yet maybe until 3000 year and who knows, While we need things to current devices to be used 2016-2999, So why hurry? What's the rush to “Obsolete” all convert?

This is largely a myth. If you have kept up to date on quantum computer development in the last years, you will see that this is indeed something that needs to be prepared for right away, especially for Internet-of-Things reliant technology that will automate virtually everything.
Scale quantum computers do not exist yet maybe until 3000 year and who knows, While we need things to current devices to be used 2016-2999, So why hurry? What's the rush to “Obsolete” all convert?

https://www.nsa.gov/ia/programs/suiteb_cryptography/

I'm trying to say is that because both things hasten the latent danger to turn humans in obsolete creating very powerful machines and moving the human interaction  more and more into a virtual world like to a matrix. Progress is good when it this can be controlled but who says that this will always could be so. Turn it on blockchain and considering that  was born on 2009 it could be very soon to call it obsolete.

when do if it were ico iota and giveaway will be held again?

Hi, I claimed my Iotas in March via a PM to CfB. I didn't do anything with them. What should I do now? As far as I understand it's necessary to claim them again or will it happen automatically upon the first launch of a client?

You need to send your seed to me at contact@iotatoken.com so I can verify that your seed is indeed in the unclaimed list, if it is you will be sent your iotas
Is there a reason why procedure described here: http://www.iotasupport.com/claimingyouriota.shtml
might not work for me?

A completely different target market and crypto altogether. However, I think it would be advantageous for Iota to be listed on exchanges prior to Byteball as many often confuse the two.

Not a competition. They target human interatcion market, not machine market. And it has fees.

Although the idea of their supply is strange, in iota the crazy supply is because it will be in use by machines to sell electricity and cpu time.

The bottom part of the article is talked about IOTA but the author made the same mistake of referring to it as Tangle.  Cheesy

I just updated to the new client version 2.0.2. Login does not work. It gives me a "connection refused" error. Any advice what to do to overcome this problem? Internet connection is fine.
Former version have worked very well for me without this error message.

If you have already have few neighbors connected then the problem is simply that your client has not caught up with the latest milestone (sync). The client would not allow you to log in.
You will need to wait for sync every time your wallet is opened or restarts.

Milestone number must match #botbox channel in slack. as of this post it is at milestone 11391*11391 both of these number need to match as well.
You can find the milestone numbers on Gui client by going >View >Show status bar and look at bottom left corner of client.

PLEASE COME TO IOTA SLACK FOR TECHNICAL HELP!
you will much likely to find someone online over there to help you get going immediately.

I have many problems for the last wallet, I do not get neighbors, besides the problem of the 6000/6000. Honestly, I do not have time to be waiting on slack.
I have not opened the wallet since July.

Edit:

My address is in the October snapshot
http://pastebin.com/NdQjLWbK
but not in the snapshot of Nov 26th:
https://gist.github.com/domschiener/e47d3579f8e01f7315c2a2435782c5e4
Will there be a lightwallet to make the claim or the claim need to be done before that lightwallet version?

Very thanks!

Hello
I am trying to make a manual claim with Nostalgia, but doing so gives as a result: The seed provided by you contains 0 iotas
I have never done the manual claim despite having already been half a year already trying it
David does not respond to any messages on Iota's chat
I sent to your account 65 Jinn
My iotas, this is supposed to be the genesis block, appear in the message you wrote CBF at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262688.msg13628833#msg13628833
Someone could tell me what I have to do to recover my Jinn or my iotas?

Thank you.

can you be more clear please? Who do you sent 65 jinn? Do you message David on Slack?

Thanks for answering.
The question is that I invested 65 Jinn in this and I have not yet succeeded in getting what is mine; This is either my 65 jinn or the iotas that correspond to me to have invested in this.
5 days ago I wrote to contact@iotatoken.com and demomento the answer is zero, no confirmation of receipt or anything.
This is the second time I write to this address, the first one months ago, with the same result, zero answers

I need some nodes or please can someone pm me an invitation for iotatangle.slack.com?

No need for invite http://slack.iotatangle.com

I'm trying to get some neighbors and some IOTA's. Everything I read tells me I need to join the IOTA slack group: iotatangle.slack.com. But when I go to http://slack.iotatangle.com to join I get a bad gateway error.

Can someone please tell me how I should move forward from here? I'd like to get my nodes running.

Thanks

Please forgive my ignorance but I've never used slack before. How do I register for this group? When I try to join I get an email saying:
Quote

Hi there,

We searched for Slack teams you've already joined or are allowed to join, using <my.email@my-domain.com>.

Unfortunately, we couldn't find any teams for that address.

If you're looking for a specific team, you can try contacting your Team Administrator for an invitation. You can also try a different email, or forge ahead and create a new team!

Please let us know if you have any other questions or feedback. And thanks for using Slack!

Cheers,
The team at Slack

The URL https://iotatangle.slack.com doesn't seem to offer me a way to register. If I try to simply type in my email and password it says:
"Sorry, you entered an incorrect email address or password."

Is there an administrator I need to PM in order to be invited or am I missing something obvious? I'm really confused.

Hopefully there will be a light wallet. Otherwise, anyone who couldn't claim until summer will have their stake "donated".  Sad
