Really not a fan of Byteball's distribution model. Most of the coins are in the hands of people who already own a lot of BTC. Everyone complained about how small IOTA ico was, but it looks much more fair than Byteball's.

I agree, exchanges and even other projects that made an ICO earlier like Iconomi and Komodo have received the vast majority of Byteballs.
I am nobody in cryptoland, but if I was a dev and I had to choose the worst kind of distribution, it would be to give coins to exchanges, and even to competing coins !
You need a community, true fans, and devs to exist more than 2 months, not passive people who received free coins just because they are alive !
Look at the top 10 in marketcap, or even deeper.

By the way, did Iota fundation or devs linked their account and received Byteballs too ? Could be Ironic !
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Another post about this insignificant bs called 'byteball' = ban

While I completely agree this is not the place to discuss the "insignificant bs", the tone of this message forced me to reply.

What kind of peremptory shout is this? Are we in nazi kindergarten? Is there a rule published on the top of the thread, which prohibits to discuss "insignificant bs", and allows someone to talk in this tone to other "regular" people here?

If yes, then ban me. If not, then I would expect your apologies.

You must be not familiar with this thread yet  Grin iotatoken only cares about productive things regarding IOTA. And discussing about competing coins or whining about hurt feelings are not welcome here.  Cheesy

Don't you know that there is this sign hanging on the wall behind David's desk?

Join the Byteball slack, there you can discuss different altcoins (even IOTA) freely without being censored!

Ok, so no ban, but no apologies either...?

So what should I do to get actually banned?

I find it disturbing this community allows oneself to to be treated like that. And though I wasn't the one whom the peremptory shout was addressed to, I seem to be the only one who thinks such attutude is inacceptable.

So if that is indeed the case, I would like to be officially banned from here, please.

EDIT: ok, I will go ahead and tell the magic word, so you can easily ban me: "BYTEBALL!!!" Grin
If that is not enough, here are more seditious words: "blackbyte", "bad distribution", "better than iota", "very similar to iota", "actually the same" Grin. Huh I think its enough.

You can Use YassinDEX!!  Cheesy Cool

Friendly announcement for you traders here:

"As a temporary solution, an OTC Bot has been set up to enable trading in the official IOTA slack.
Since @yassinnxt  provided an excellent service as escrow in the past, he will act as an intermediary, before IOTA hits exchanges.
Additional advice: @yassinnxt  is the only escrow. Don't send your funds to different persons and be sure to interact with @yassinnxt  only as impersonators occasionally tried to scam some people in the past."

The OTC-bot service assisted by Yassin works as follows:

1. You send BTC or iotas to an address provided by Yassin (via private message)
2. Yassin executes a command to deposit the accordant amount to your balance tracked by the bot
3. You buy/sell iotas (this can happen as many times as you need)
4. You send Yassin an address to withdraw the earned BTC/iotas
5. Yassin adjusts your balance and sends real tokens to your address
6. Trades are taxed with 0% fee.
7. Deposits/withdrawals are charged with 1% fee (rounded up).
8. Min amount of a deposit/withdrawal is 10'000 microBTC/2 Gi.
9. To get instructions on how to trade iotas once you get your tokens on the balance type "HELP" on #trading   channel.
10. As a precaution, you are advised to provide Yassin with an extra BTC and IOTA-address to be able to receive your funds once you left slack for different reasons, such as a ban or technical issues.
11. For each IOTA deposit, a new address must be generated. This is necessary to show the right balances for each entry listed by the bot.
12. For better usability, Gi and microBTC for fees are always rounded. (1Gi for 2GI-100Gi, 2Gi from >100Gi-200Gi and so on)

The service was tested with test tokens, but it is still possible that an undiscovered bug may lead to a loss of all your BTC/iotas, so we suggest to trade small amounts per session.

Example-trade:

-Alice contacts @yassinnxt   and says "I want to deposit 50 BTC"
-She sends 50 BTC to an address provided by Yassin
- Once 50 BTC are confirmed, Yassin types "GIVE 49.5 BTC TO @Alice (1% fee included)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Alice contacts Yassin and says "I want to withdraw 200 gigaiotas (Gi)"
-Yassin executes "TAKE 200 Gi FROM @Alice"
-Yassin sends 198 Gi to Alice (1% fee included)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Alice contacts Yassin and says "I want to deposit 200 Gi"
-She sends Yassin 200 Gi
-Once 200 Gi are confirmed he types "GIVE 198 gigaiotas TO @Alice" (1% fee included)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Alice contacts Yassin and says "I want to withdraw 50 BTC"
-Yassin types "TAKE 50 BTC FROM @Alice"
-Yassin sends 49.5 BTC to her (1% fee included)

Happy trading!

You clearly have not followed this pseudo-drama in detail.

It started with light discussion about Byteball in Slack, no one batted an eye, we had no problem with it, in fact we engaged in the chat casually. Then Cryptkeeper started spamming Byteball in the IOTA Slack, I proceeded to inform him that this was the IOTA slack, he was free to speak about byteball, but not try to recruit people/sell Byteball, he pretended to agree on the terms. One day later he starts again, so I banned him, even the creator of Byteball agreed with me after explaining the course of events to him.

Then Byteball posts suddenly started showing up here, in the vast majority of cases in discussions that had NOTHING to do with IOTA. This is the IOTA thread, not "let's discuss all random cryptocoins" thread. We have said before that we will delete off-topic nonsense, particularly when it comes from known trolls.

Don't you know that there is this sign hanging on the wall behind David's desk?

Join the Byteball slack, there you can discuss different altcoins (even IOTA) freely without being censored!

 Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

I should indeed get that in my office, there's unfortunately a veeeery long list of idiots and trolls in this world.

I find it absolutely beyond hilarious that you play the victim card of "I AM BEING CENSORED" like some stupid social justice warrior infantile pussy. You were warned not to spam IOTA Slack/Thread with Byteball nonsense, discussions were fine, marketing and spamming was not, you agreed, then you violated it, you got banned, even the creator of Byteball accepted this and understood it.

"Omg, I am being banned for violating rules I have agreed with on a forum, damn I am being censored, this is how living in North Korea must feel like, PLEASE feel sorry for me aaand buy my tokens"
