Agree, the last events in Bitcoin forking have shown how much might the miners have. IOTA does not have that centralization of the mining power since mining is distributed in the way that only entities that send transactions have to do PoW for two transactions.

Also you never know then China is prohibiting Bitcoin mining. There are rumors about. It would hit Bitcoin and other PoW coins very hard.
Why would they get hit? Wouldn't bitcoin readjust the difficulty and actually redistribute the mining power much better?

Bitcoin have a lot of issues, governance, scalability, political (A lot of groups fighting to controll it), slow transactions, high fees, etc. When people realize this, they are going to change to other blockchain/crypto that solve this thing and IOTA is in the front!

Dumb question ... why IOTA is not listed in exchanges like bittrex?

imho the big exchanges are deeply involved in BTC, so every coin which could endanger BTC or themselves hasn't big chances for listing (also see e.g. $WAVES, almost no one lists it cause they all are afraid of Wave's included decentralized exchange). Only my 2 cents.

Apart from that - earlier an IOTA listing at Poloniex or Bittrex was worth a jig dance - but now both transformed to abolutely sh*t-exchanges, see their threads.

Distributed Ledger Device Management Platform Prepares for Rise of IoT

http://www.chain-finance.com/2017/11/16/distributed-ledger-device-management-platform-prepares-for-rise-of-iot/

At its core a blockchain-agnostic platform, Augmate Connect will start by integrating the IOTA Tangle, a block-less distributed ledger that allows transfer of value between devices without fees. Augmate Connect will eventually integrate new blockchain protocols. The Augmate Connect Platform will be activated and utilized with tokens called Machine Access Token Exchange – MATEs™. MATEs act as usage tokens, and Augmate will continually add services including a DApp store and app store with resources for developers in order to make it easier for enterprises and consumers to manage a growing collection of connected devices, from a secure and streamlined platform.............

Flash Channels Competition & Statistics

https://blog.iota.org/flash-chanels-competition-statistics-15870a4073ea

Last month we released the Flash Channels demo and more recently the specialised Micro-payments demo. These demos showcased instant streaming of IOTA tokens in a secure, off-tangle state channels. This technology enables special use cases of IOTA which require sub-second token exchanges among one or more partners.
The technology of Flash Channels enables a number of interesting new payment interactions. Never before was it possible to have instant and fee-less value transfer. A perfect example is exchanging tokens in realtime with a charging station: no accounts or excessive deposits required. This opens the door for a number of realtime payment solutions to be implemented today.

I like projects such as IOTA. Innovation which is not built on the basis of someone all done from scratch. Great team and community around the project is growing. From late October to mid-November was good growth. Now a small drop I think has played it and will go again on all the sail up. Soon 1 dollar

P.S. IOTA just space website Grin

High risk high payoff

IOTA released over 5 months ago.
Why is there still no application running on IOTA?
IT took over 2 years to get listed and IT was postponed 10 Times or more. So Application i think if we are lucky in 2019/20

Maybe the technology behind iota is just too much to comprehend by these exhanges

The vast majority of cryptocurrencies fork the bitcoin codebase. Therefore they all have the same api. So all these exchanges have to do is plug the new copycoin into existing inferastructure. The few that have been developed from new codebase require the site operators to learn a new api. Which may or may not be a difficult task but either way its tempting to apply your time to just adding new copycoins that take no new learning when those are available instead.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

I've had some IOTAs for sometime now. I love "my babies" and truly believe in the tech. If thing however, if you've worked with iotas - they are very temperamental.

The wallet is still not easy, and I'm speculating that the exchanges do not want to allocate their comps to "solving" the transaction.

The believe that Binance will however start making a difference, as I'm writing this Bianance accounts for 36% of all trades. If Bittrex starts it will surely make a huge diff.

That's just my 2 cents.

I agree,
The potential is huge but the adoption by other exchanges is low.

That is the best news for the day, no wonder it's increased by 16% the past 4 hours.

But to be honest, I LOVE iota, so if we can stay under the radar I'll just want to buy more and more.  It is a fact that they will still appreciate substantially
