Is it late to buy token? I'm forming my portfolio right now.

The only way is up... i bought a bunch when it was 39 cents and then it shot up... i wanted to buy more when it dropped below 70 but that never happened again. Then finally decided yesterday to buy some more at 1,40$ and all of a sudden we're around 2$... so hopefully it goes back to 1,75 but given the latest developments that might not happen...

Since there's an enormous potential, even buying at 2$ will be a good investment

That's all I'm doing.

No, you are spreading FUD, not really helping to educate people.

FUD is fake news to install fear and doubt.... I am educating with actual facts.  Certainly not FUD.

HACKED CASES : (I am adding to this list and will continue to post and update)

I was told IOTA is far superior to traditional limited blockchain coins but I'm not really familiar with it yet.   Is it still in development and open to big changes or is it more in the stages of finishing or removing minor bugs.

How close to proof of stake is IOTA network and what advantages does it have over that process of confirmation.    I like that its wanting to work on a variety of connected devices, is that mostly around ARM devices that have become prevalent I guess, could a 'smart LED' become a 'miner' . I suppose its very much including mobile phones in that case.   Thats a big positive I think for the mainstream as for many people their best computer is the phone they carry, other coins state this is a positive security issue though.

I wanted to ask really, how vulnerable is IOTA to the vast array of ASIC devices that were built to mine Bitcoin and even some that exist for scrypt.     The problem is if the standard is so open to the 'internet of things' dont these devices then count as a vast standing army.   Many asic can no longer contribute to BTC as its become too complex, would they be employed in IOTA or be a threat even.  Or is IOTA completely different and incompatible to any adaption of previous crypto hardware/technology.

Im interested in the innovation but what is its present processing capability in transactions per hour?

When i first started using IOTA, i generated my random seed using Microsoft Powershell. I assumed that I can rely on Microsoft for the randomness. I was wrong. The seed generated by Powershell is not random enough and all combinations can by cycled through in a matter of hours or days.

To be fair is that not a problem outside the protocol, a bad random generator.

A password is useless since it is just a longer string. 2781 is already secure

I would argue any user based personalisation as a gate to an automated process makes mass phishing type attacks more difficult to occur.   If the seed was somehow a predictable sequence then the user adding something personal would have helped in that case.   In any case it should be an option given, a uniform attack should not be possible ideally so thats why I argue in favour of personalisation.
Usability is a big deal for meshing complex secure process to people who really have no idea of the workings nor should be required to, just a common problem every standard faces I think

IOTA is a fantastic project which if successful could be the one which leads the market.  HOWEVER, BE VERY AWARE ThAT CuRRENTLY IT hAS FLAWS so make sure if you use their system, be very proactive with their developers otherwise you may wake up without any iota.  Either that or keep them on an exchange.

Good luck, keep your coins safe.

To be fair is that not a problem outside the protocol, a bad random generator.  - Correct - however had you not known perhaps you'd have used the same seed generator.  Consider yourself wise to that threat.

Saying something doesn't mean it's correct.  I've explained clear as day in articles.  I'm transparent.

WARNINGs should be put on the wallet if a snapshot is taken.  It resets addresses back to no.1 with no warnings!!!  This exposes your tokens to hackers.  This is pratically equivalent of leaving the key to your front door under the plant pot.

I disagree, but let you continue, because spreading awareness of address reuse dangers is useful.

About IOTA Wallet (seed, address, and so one) problem/hacked! everyone should be aware that there are several cases that many people used an INTERNET random strings generator, so i do not belive that someone can trust in it to generate the seed.

Experimenting with IOTA. A couple things I noticed that are weird:

1) You have to create your own seed manually, no tool include. Why?

2) The attach to tangle to create a receive address has been spinning for 1hr. It still hasn't completed. Is the network completely broken?

3) The developers have been working on this for a year but the network can't scale to take on a few couple 1k users??

In short - I really question if this technology actually works. If someone can prove me wrong I'm all ears.

Thank you for allowing me to continue. I appreciate your support.  I'd appreciate other to help spread these issues.

It's gonna be a happy xmas for IOTA hackers.

Wallets shouldn't allow funds to be endangered fullstop.  It's there purpose.  If it was a single hack, resolved, new wallet deployed, I'd accept as adequate attention was given to the issue, but clearly it hasn't.

So since your argument has an element of fact, more advertising should be made clear your funds are unsafe in their wallets.

Please also note if you use the same address twice to received funds, hackers can exploit the tangle and redirect your money into their wallet of choice.  Also, yes the wallet allows you to use the same address as many times as you like, to make it more fun, now and then they do this thing called a snapshot, which resets your addresses back to No.1 so users not in the "know" are at extreme risk of losing their funds.

Please always read their instructions and keep in the loop of updates with this initiative.

I love the concept of iota, however until these issues are resolved I feel your money and investment is at high risk either from hackers or the sudden sell off once investors realise the tangle may never work.  Although I hope it will succeed.

So I bought some more at the peak again, I don't know why I held back, I believe in this project .
Thankyou larry Love to all Iota holders, hard times make the good times so much sweeter

I'm guessing you haven't tried to change nodes? Most likely you were using the default few public nodes that are constantly being hammered. I'd recommend swapping to another node and see if you get further Smiley

Oh wow... this is crazy.  So I have no funds yet but was thinking to use a mining faucet to play with it. Are you saying if the faucet sends funds to me more than once then hackers can redirect money from my wallet? is this the full wallet or just the transactions after the first one?
