Good more than bad. It creates more expenditure, however it does stimulate the economy more, with a bigger demand for BTC.

In order to stabilize the economy, there must be controls both fiscal and monetary. Similarly, halving in bitcoin mining will help to control the supply to stabilize he prices. If it is left at the current rate, it will be very difficult to control the supply and thus will affect the bitcoin price badly. It is just a matter of Supply-demand dynamics.

As the title says, is the halving good or bad for the price of bitcoin?
The halving will decrease the supply of bitcoin, whole keeping the demand, so that would make bitcoin worth more.
But the halving will make mining profitibilty worse, meaning less miners, a higher trans. fee, and maybe causing a smaller demand.
What's your verdict?
I think bitcoin will still go up, as the fees might, let's say, double, but that's still a smaller transaction fee than through the banks...
Bitcoin Halving will good for bitcoin,everybody sure about that,its why the halving is part of bitcoin project. and about the price,i will not gve any comment,i can't predict it. |

AFAIK halving is good bitcoin holder since bitcoin'va value got increase
but Bad for bitcoin miner ( who use hardware to mine btc ) since bitcoin total amount is being cut into half !

It is both good and bad, it just depends on what side of the fence you are. If you don't have any bitcoin at the time of halving and the price goes down dramatically, a window of opportunity just opened for you. But if the price suddenly surges past $600 or $700, and you were left behind, that's bad for you. That's why it's relative.

Indeed but you can now already see signs that its getting better and better in my eyes, its now already around the 450 dollar and it will rise more soon. Another fact is that the halving will help us for sure, I really have no doubt about that it will be good. |

It is going to be 500 soon , we are almost at may and the halving gonna happen in around middle june so from today until the halving day the activity of the market is going to be bigger and the price will be keep on getting higher |

Yeah let just wait and see what will happen to it in. Future but we can speculate and its free for us to do it and i really beleive halving is good event of bitcoin history it is good to us because the price of it is rising daily and if the halving effect the price get bigger and surely we earn more of it holders or not holders as you can see the past chart of bitcoin halving histor. The halving had great good effect of it. |

Even if nothing really changes at the halving itself, some of the value increases from the buildup towards it might be worth it alone. I expect the price will increase fairly notably when the having rolls around, but it is probably too early to know. |

If halving will increase bitcoin price so it will be good for us,but for miners for example it's not so good and it even can kick somebody for the game.
Hope it will be alright.
if halving cause an increase in the bitcoin price, why not would it be good for miners, the value of their block reward will not be so low as you think. as the price will be higher than now. so maybe the 12.5 btc after halving will worth 25btc now Yes, I agree with you everyone will benefit from halving of this year the same as everyone got benefitted from the previous halving and at that time everyone was happy with that halving even the miners were also happy. |

Well, it's true that bitcoin halving will result good to bitcoin users...price would really increase that time as the supply being half of what it is today,surely the supply can't meet the demand, but if everyone would pour in and dump their bitcoin after the increase in price, I'm sure we will be back at where we are today.,. |

Not on the basis of stability, just upon the growth experienced users believe there is not much growth by the time of halving. This thinking of most users will change when it gets close to halving. |

Nobody will know what the future will be for Bitcoin but the chance is high that the value keep stable and that is quite bad for the people who are waiting for a price increase. Everyone is hoping that the value will be more worth so they can have more money later with it and that should be perfect. |
