Plus they can rest more since there's a play-in tournament that's going to happen first before the actual playoffs. Brooklyn could face the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs, this is a good match up and I think Celtics here will have a fight and it will not be a sweep by Brooklyn although I believe they will win in the series.

Perks of being on the top 6. Rest.  That's why the Mavs had been beating themselves just so they could rest more and be on a great shape when the playoffs starts.
Lakers though is looking great. But it will be GSW that will match them to take the 7th seed. I will definitely not miss this game.
Regarding the East. My prediction is the Nets will be facing the Wizards winning against an undermanned Celtics. Bradley Beal is back and looking great. So when it comes to offense they can answer back while the Celtics will have a problem looking for their attacker. They will just need to find a way to win against the 9th and 10th match up.

I guess the Wizards vs Nets series would be an interesting one, that's gonna be Durant vs Westbrook, and Westbrook played well when he is challenged. I'm not seeing that the Nets will dominate the Wizards here, in their game this season, they always have a close game, I can't completely remember their head to head record but I think Wizards had more wins.

Steph and LeBron meeting up once again on the road to a championship, only a little different this year. I didn't expect this actually, this should be a playoff series to make it a longer series, but because the Lakers struggle late in this season, they are now put in this situation. What we are going to witness is like a Finals, and though the Lakers have a full and healthy squad, for sure Warriors will not fold against them. Good luck, whatever the outcome, I'm sure it will be an entertaining game, Lakers have to limit Curry and make Green tired on the inside if they want to win.

Mitchell (ankle) is out for the remainder of the regular season, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Mitchell's ankle sprain continues to give him issues. He'll be re-evaluated before the playoffs, but there's certainly no guarantee that he'll be ready for Game 1 of the First Round. More information should arrive after Utah's final regular-season contest.

Well, let's hope he will come back as we don't want to see the Jazz whose improved team this season make an early exit.

Really? I mean I get that Warriors are lacking Klay and without him they are not 100% back yet, and they may need some off-season movements to get back to where they were before durant, however I am not sure about Lakers. Why would the last champions be afraid of Jazz out of all teams? Sure they finished first but there are many seasons teams finish first and become nothing at all in the end, Spurs once had 67 win season, which is one of the all time best seasons, nobody even realized it because Warriors had 73 games that year, but the same spurs also lost spectacularly on the playoffs that year as well.

Long story short regular season doesn't mean anything, if a 73 win team and a 67 win team both can lose on the same season, that means Jazz doesn't mean much on a shortened pandemic ridden season neither. They are good, but they are not "I hope I do not face jazz" level of good at all, impossible.

@stadus, thanks for the update, I'm also worried that they might have some trouble in the playoffs as the regular season is entirely different compared to the playoffs. If they will face the spurs, they might have a big chance of winning but if it's Memphis, I think it will be hard for them.

Let's trust the Jazz organization, they have given Mitchell a long rest to heal that injury, and I also believe Mitchell will come back when he is needed and he won't let what they have work hard to just disappear easily.

Tough call to be honest, but I like the Hornets here, I know both of these teams are good but I just follow my gut in selecting a winner. Hornets doesn't only have Rozier, Ball is ready to help and it's his first playoffs so we might see a better Ball.

I guess as a team it will be Celtics, even if they lose brown, they are still good because they have the experience and it's time for them to give everything.
Westbrook and Beal are both healthy, but as I said, I like Celtics as they play hard as a team.

Although the Lakers have LeBron James (it is already a huge difference in the team), he is an experienced player and still has AD and Drummond to reinforce the team.

There is regular season MVP as well and also Playoffs MVP. I guess he was talking about Curry winning the season MVP. Which Curry has a real good shot at, since he's been very consistent and constantly put up good number and carrying his team into the playoffs. If he was injured, Warriors would surely have been out of the playoff contention for sure. Beating the Lakers to make it into the next round of pre-playoffs would be a major challenge though. Cant wait.

I'm going against the popular opinion here, I like Wizards chances against Boston. This season it was really close game between the two. Head to head Boston won, 2-1, but if you look at the their last game, it was close, Celtics won by just 1 point. And the last time Wizards won, they lead by 13 points.

And since Celtics is without Brown, and with Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal, having a good chemistry, I would say it's going to be close again, but Wizards will get it done.
