I was glad to see the Phoenix Suns signed Isaiah Thomas for the rest of the year. He got done so dirty in Boston, it would be great to see him win a ring before his playing days are over and it’s great the Suns management is giving him this opportunity. Maybe not enough to get them over the hump, but they did need a true point guard so it’s a great signing.

And he did play quiet good as well and scored points when he played his first game. Yeah, it was unravel later how Boston did to him. Boston didn't reveal the full extend of his injuries that he keep on playing for the green jersey until his injury got worst and worst and then he was traded and was never be the same again.

If only Boston keep him out and really help him heal and recovery from his injuries, he could still be playing today and getting nice pay as well. But that is history and hopefully this is just a start for IT to be able to stay in the NBA.

With 3 games remaining this season, in order for the Lakers to get at least the 8th seed, they must win those 3 remaining games, and either of the three, the Kings, Pelicans, or Suns, need to lose twice so the Lakers would secure the 8th seed. Lakers' remaining games are GSW, MEM, and NOP. Lakers arguably can win these 3 games. While those three teams have these games left,.

Suns: LAC, LAC, SAC, MIN
Sac: OKC, NOP, PHX, POR
Pelicans: POR, SAC, GSW, LAL

Looking at this, all three teams can possibly have a record of 2-2 to end this season, and with that, it can really help the Lakers a lot to go up in the standings. Let's just hope the Lakers do their part and win those three games they have.

Does it really matter where the Lakers finish in the standings right now? I mean, if we assume that the Leakers will have no problems with their play-in tournament opponents, then their first-round playoff opponents will be either the Wolves or the Nuggets. In other words, the first round of the playoffs will be very difficult for the Lakers regardless of whether they finish the season in 9th or 8th, 7th spot in the standings.

You might be right but the point of contention is that this teams are still fighting it out and obviously they want to be in a better position. Lebron is competitive that he didn't want to be in the 9th or 10th place I reckon.

And so they are going to compete and win as many games in the regular season and have that bragging rights on the team that they are going to beat and who will they face in the play-in.

It definitely makes a difference.  7th and 9th place is a huge difference.  9th you have to play 2 one and done games with the second one being on the road.  7th place you get a home game and if you lose you get another home game to still get in.  It all leads to the same road in either one of the top teams as a road series but to get there it makes a difference.

Yeah, I am also happy to see that he's got a real contract with the Suns. He's sure be a big help to them and not just going on with 10-days contract.

The Lakers have 3 remaining games, the Warriors, Grizzlies, and the Pelicans, if they could win all that the games they are gonna improve in ranking. Just a rank of 7 or 8 is already good enough for them as they won't be in a do or die situation.
Could be, but teams like Kings, Warriors and Mavs or Phoenix has games too. And that's why every game right now is very important for the team mention. And they could surrender that they will be facing the Warriors in the play-in.
Fortunately, the Warriors is in but if there are games remaining, they should just win them all. Anyway, these teams should just avoid Heat in the playoffs. LOL.

If the Warriors will face the Wolves, I think the series will be over soon as the Wolves are gonno impose their dominance in the paint which the Warriors doesn't have.
Don't be so sure about Warriors getting dominated in the paint. They have Draymond that can do all the tricks up his sleeves and get away with little punishment. Who knows if he'll start kicking nuts again and act as if it was a natural movement of his feet. Maybe the refs would also allow him to grab someone by the neck like what he did to Patty Mills and call it a normal foul.

Hahaha 😆 doing everything for the sake of winning the series,  not impossible as knowing the characteristic of Draymond he can extend to that point, though for sure refs will guard him and will observe each games that they'll be going to play, will be on how the coaches and the players will execute the system,  I can also say that if Wolves will continue that domination inside the paint they've a better edge against the Warriors the win towers with  AE, they can provide more 2nd chance points and for sure there's always a mismatch that they can go through,  just need to have that good feed to convert the basket.

This made me laugh, honestly.

But sure that Dray can do all of the techniques that he's been doing all of his career. That's what they can count him for but seriously speaking, we're going to see some more intention actions from him with physical contacts if they're needed.

Actually, they're not needed at all but they're normal actions of Dray that has always been calling the attention for most of the fans that do see him play as if it's normal.

A lot of questionable injuries happening at the end of the season suddenly. I think teams are legitimately asking superstars to fake injuries to sit the end of the season now so the team can avoid fines. Did I read that Anthony Davis didn’t play because of a headache? Giannis seemingly is out with a leg cramp? Hmmm…

Hmmm…

A lot of these players have minor injuries and they can easily excused especially if the team is already secured. The Bucks for example might not want to face Miami or Philly in the first round so they do not mind dropping to the 3rd or 4th positions. But the other teams are still playing at their best in order to secure better positions.

AD for example, I believe he is really injured. They are already tied with the Pelicans at #8 and they are also playing at home against their #10 rival which is only 1 game away from stealing their rank if they lose today.

I got used to this. It became a tradition for the superstars who are on the safe spot. As a fan, I won't waste money watching the game at this phase of the season. We won't probably see them play.
But there will be an exception especially now. Looking at the rankings, many teams still need to win their games to be in a  secured playoff spot and avoid the play in tournament. I guess we are still be watching good games with stars playing because of how close the battle for the 6 spots.

AD didn't play because he was poke in the eye by Kyle Anderson in their lost to the Wolves, so not sure if that could be considered as head ache or what.

And with that, no AD with the Lakers, the Warriors beat them in their homecourt. But it looks like the Warriors has turn back the clock with a vintage performance, hitting much of their 3's. And Steph and Klay had their rhythm, including Draymond who hit like 4-5 three's in this game.

Not much has change in their position though, Lakers is still 9th and Warriors 10th.

It's better that he didn't play so the injury will not be aggravated. AD should be ready in the play-in as that will be a do or die game, and the Warriors have proven then can beat thme, so it's gonna be a great 1 game. Good to see Kuminga was already back, though with limited minutes but the Warriors playing in full force, that's very scary.

Lakers vs Warriors, which team will be eliminated first?

Both teams performed about the same during the regular season, and it's not so clear at this moment which of these two teams will be eliminated first. In addition, there are still 2-3 games left until the end of the regular season. So there's a small chance that the Lakers and Warriors might not face each other in the play-in tournament.

That's possible as the Warriors have 3 remaining games, their ranking will go up, so they might be placed at the top 8 which means they won't be playing in a do or die game anymore. I'm sure they will do that as I think they could win the next 3 games.

Warriors next 3 games are

Trailblazers - road game
Jazz and pelicans, both home games.

Sure thing they can win all them, the toughest opponent on the list is only the Pelicans, but since the Warriors are at home, they have the advantage over that team. Jazz and TrailBlzers, this team are in a losing streak and probably have pulled out their star players already, so it should be easy for them. I guess the Warriors are just making sure now that they'll be in the top 7, so if they would succeed, they just need to play one game and maybe will face the Denver or Minnesota. It doesn't matter to them, I think the Warriors still have a chance beating those two teams but it would be better if they'll face the Wolves first.

I agree, the two teams which are the TrailBlazers and and the Jazz are on a long losing streak 2 and 13 respectively. Warriors has been defeating strong teams on this run so there's no way they will loss to these bottom teams.  For the Pelicans, they will also play harder as they are already at the top 6 again so they don't want to go down and be in the play-in.

Indeed that's good news. But still, I want to see this guy play for like 10-15 minutes. Give him a test run and not just a reserve or a bench who can only play at garbage time. They still don't know if he can be an effective player when paired with Durant or Booker, he just needs that one break and maybe he can show us that his career ain't really over just yet.
The longest play time was 8 minutes and that's only because the Thunder blew out the Suns so it's actually garbage time, what about those times when they badly need a point guard who may be effective? I've seen Cam Payne back when he was a Suns given a try by Coach Monty and it was rewarding, but Coach Vogel seems to not have the same attitude when it comes to his bench.

They need a true point guard man and provably IT can provide that since he can facilitate to create a space for their shooters to shoot. If he will just get an opportunity to spend more time in the court then maybe Suns will get a good result since IT still a great player.

I can say even if he's minutes is limited still its good that he get a contract with Phoenix and now he's successfully back on NBA the only thing he need to do is to perform well on the minutes given by his coach and earn their trust since if he can do that maybe he will get more quality minutes on Suns then maybe he can get a spot on their main rotation. Suns is more interesting now seeing those guys mentioned getting more involvement on the team so let see how far they can go this season.

Yes, you are right that both teams still look equal in this regular season and we will have difficulty determining who will be eliminated first because they still have several matches to play, maybe everything can be seen clearly when the regular season has its final match left.
In the future, the Lakers and Warriors will not meet in the play-in tournament, but other matches could be decisive because if they lose, it could lower their position.
But if both of them can finish the remaining matches well and neither one is eliminated then that could make the tournament much more interesting, but I not sure this can happen.
Both team will continue to do their best but no one knows whether they can win or not in the next match.
