At the moment, Miami is playing against Boston without Butler and Rozier.
And that's it, Boston Celtics won against the Miami Heat.

We always like this match-up of these two rival teams and in the end, it's always the Miami Heat that's winning the series. But let's see if this is going to be the one that the Celtics will celebrate even if it's not yet the finals.

Let's see if Miami will bounce back on their game 2.
If the Heat will not have Butler and Rozier back on at least on Game 3, I'm afraid they might get swept by the Celtics.

Last season, the Heat was carried by Butler and of course it created a domino effect towards other Heat players. This time, their main player is out due to an injury hence, it affected the whole team. We've seen these 2 teams fought 3 times in the last 4 playoffs so they pretty much know the strengths and weaknesses of both teams already. It all comes down to how healthy your players are and this time, the Celtics have the upper hand. Like I said, if Butler will not play in Game 3, they have a high chance of being swept in the first round.
I agree.

Some fans are telling that even without Butler, they can make it. Well, they can but the impact that he's making for the team is incomparable. It's no doubt that he's one of the important pieces of Heat.

I have no update about Butler if he's going to be in for game 2 or game 3. I'm hoping that we'd see him to be there to see some good game against Celtics.

But in doubt, Celtics is strong and they're complete and it's certainly an advantage for them when Jimmy Buckets is watching from the bench.

Jamal Murray! Damn, that was a tough shot! Hand in your face and it's not a small hand, that's AD's hand and fading away out of balance. He was nowhere to be seen after that shot because he was on the second row under the bench.

What went wrong for the Lakers? They got careless. The Nuggets are a team that is known to come back in high deficit leads and they did it again. The 19-point lead was the highest of the Lakers and it was all gone until Lebron got hot in the 3-point line to bring it back to 8 points. Slowly, the Nuggets squeezed back and got the win thanks to the Murray buzzer-beater. That was one heck of a sweet win.

The Lakers did a perfect job today. DLo was hot, AD was taking advantage of the low defense of Jokic, Lebron was energized, and defense was high, it's almost a perfect game if only they can get the win.

Yeah, it was a tight game. However, I wouldn't say the Lakers have no chance in this series, even though they have lost 2 games in a row. In fact, if you look at the stats, you can see that now the chance of the Lakers recovering from a 0-2 deficit is only 7.3%. It's not much, but I hope the Lakers will do their best in the next game.

It's just kinda sad that they already lost 2 games in a row despite all of their efforts to win but the Lakers still have a chance and they seem to have confidence to beat the Nuggets last night compared to their first game. let's just see how they will adjust on their 3rd game because they really need to win it because they can't afford to lose 2 years in a row and get swept again this time, that would be a historical humiliation for LBJ and the rest of the team. they should at least win one game or be in big trouble.  Cheesy Grin

Crazy game 2 between the Lakers and the Nuggets. Everyone thought the Lakers are gonna steal the game 2 as they lead 20 pts at some pt in the 3rd quarter, but the Nuggets didn't give up, was able to establish momentum in the 4th. Though they did not take the lead, but Murray just made a buzzer beater to beat the Lakers by 2 pts.
Man, it looks like the Lakers really stand no chance against the Nuggets. They have not won against them for 2 years straight now lol.
Davis was almost perfect in the 1st half but totally disappeared in the 2nd half.
It looks the Lakers' chance to win this series is by miracle lol.
Crazy indeed. It was the game of Lakers and they're on the lead but then Nuggets did managed to get close to their lead and Lakers fell short with that. The most clutch on this match is Jamal Murray's buzzer beater. Actually, it was an overtime already but the advantage was on Nuggets because they're the last shot and if ever Jamal misses it then the game proceeds to the overtime. That was actually a sad lose for the Lakers. Everyone really have thought that it's going to be a tied series but, as long as there's time then the game is still on. They should have covered all of the outside shooters including Jamal but they don't know who's going to take the last shot.

That last ball possession of Lakers on Lebron James, he shouldn't just go into three points since it's going to be win or overtime for them. He should have just got close near to the ring and shoot on the paint but he didn't, he thought that three would go in but in that crucial time, he should decided and made a better decision. In the end, it was good hands of Jamal.

Crazy indeed and it shows that there's no huge lead is secured since Nuggets able to eat the 20 pts Lakers lead and take away the 2 - 0 advantage. They supposed to be so good on first half Davis and Russel perform both on offensive and defensive end but they got choke on second half then that's how we see a crazy ending game between this two big teams. I don't know what happen to Davis since it seems that he's been scoring has been limited and he didn't perform so well compare on what he did on first half. Also its great to see that their coach made good adjustment and this is the result. Nuggets have great tactician and they make those struggling players step up on second half and the last shot made by Murray is so epic which make them take the win.

What Lebron did is a good shot he is widely open and he can able to convert that, but its just he's not lucky at that time and he missed that shot so that means the win is really meant for Nuggets. So Better luck next time for them and they should perform more better since its a do or die game for them also to bad if they will be sweep again by Nuggets.

Game 3 is the most important, they can't lose that game otherwise that simply means goodbye to the Lakers as no one in the history of NBA playoffs that a team has been able to come back from 3-0 deficit. That was a winnable game by the Lakers, the shots were falling very well, it's just unfortunate that they panic in the 4th quarter which is the quarter that Murray love to play, he loves to take big shots and that winning shot was one of remarkable one.

Obviously this is "all in" for the Lakers, so I'm riding with the team by betting on them to win. Upon checking the odds, they are only +1, so it's not hard to decide to bet on them as you can just take the moneyline and get a better odds if you really believe they can win.

Leading by 19 is pointless if you can't get the victory. Players getting hot all throughout the game is pointless if you can't get the win. AD and Lebron obviously tried to carry the whole Lakers team, but it wasn't enough for them to win.

Reasons? Referees of course. Cheesy Kidding aside, I believe that the location of the arena itself affects them because in the final minutes of the game, they look like they're very tired and they're gasping for air while the Nuggets on the other hand have used to this kind of location hence, they weren't affected at all. LeBron now is feeling what other teams are feeling when they give them 20-30 free throws while their opposing team is given less than 10. Cheesy You can also feel the frustration towards AD with that interview. Short answer, but filled with emotions. Cheesy

Well, that game winning shot was almost the same as when Kawhi hit that Game 7 buzzer beater against the Sixers when he was still a Raptor.

Game 3 is the most important, they can't lose that game otherwise that simply means goodbye to the Lakers as no one in the history of NBA playoffs that a team has been able to come back from 3-0 deficit. The Lakers are now 0-10 against the Nuggets. Do you still think that they will win at least 1 game on their home.
They will only win if the referees give them 25-30 free throws while the Nuggets will get less than 10. Trust me, that's their only way to win. Cheesy

Kidding aside, I'll stick with my previous prediction on this series that the Nuggets will sweep the Lakers like what they did last playoffs. Jokic is just too much for AD to handle. His footwork and his vision is too much that even AD who "MUST" be a candidate for Defensive player of the year is no-match against his him. TBH, I would not want to go all-in with the Lakers right now. Obviously, the duo of Murray and Jokic can't be stop by anybody on the Laker roster, and Darvin Ham seems crumbling in clutch time, and can't make good decisions. Nevertheless, I still believe that the Nuggets will sweep them. Smiley

No disrespect towards Laker fans out there. It's just my prediction.

It cannot be denied that they are on a losing streak vs the Nuggets but the way they are playing in game 2 was probably the best in the past 10 games, they always beat the Nuggets in that game. It's a 2 point loss only and majority of the game they are taking in control, so the Lakers are not really that bad, I'm sure they can compete and if there's a game that they have to give more than 100% if they can, that should be the game 3.

I think people will start praising the Lakers once they win all 2 home games and even the series. Personally, I don't want to conclude early, the series is far from over but if the Lakers loss in game 3, then maybe that close to reality that we will see another "Taylor Sweep" according to my favorite vlogger.

Kidding aside, I'll stick with my previous prediction on this series that the Nuggets will sweep the Lakers like what they did last playoffs. Jokic is just too much for AD to handle. Let's see mate... If the Lakers loss in game 3 then I can say that your prediction is right as I would not even count the succeeding game/s.

I have to be honest, I really don't have much excitement for the playoffs and championships.  Might be the first time where I just utterly didn't care what so ever.  I will still be betting a few games, just because I like a little action, but I dunno, just seem like a weird year for the NBA.

I'm curious what you guys think about Kyrie being left off the US Olympic team?

It is really such a shame that Lebron had to lose this way, it's clear that he rarely gets help, but that was ok when he was 35 or under, when he is 38-39 years old and still doesn't get proper help, it becomes boring to watch. AD played well by the way, I am saying he doesn't get help, but that doesn't include AD, that dude played amazingly, in fact for the first time I have seen someone actually slow down Jokic most of the game, first half Jokic was nowhere to be found because AD defended so beastly.

All lakers had to do was defend well on the last 2 minutes of the game, and instead they just let Nuggets play ball the way they want to, which is the biggest problem. I believe there is no other way around but a loss now, Nuggets will get the series again.

LeBron was pretty pissed off in his postgame interview. I’m sure they’ll be announcing a fine for him today. He said the F-word which doesn’t happen very often while questioning the replay center’s abilities. That last second shot by Denver had to puss the Lakers off too. Denver has a way of winning on ridiculous shots. Game 3 will be a heated one.

It's not yet a sure win until the clock goes to zero. Too bad that Anthony Davis did a lot on the whole game except on the 4th quarter. LBJ should have just given him all the ball possession and do what he had to do. I think there's a problem with how the ball rotated on the 4th quarter. Well, there's a leader and captain that has to see every teammate who's free and go to shoot. But IMHO, if whoever is there that's on the momentum, he should be given most of the ball possessions so that he'd take advantage of that momentum.

What happened isn't like that, I don't want to blame but this is part of the game. LBJ did really missed that chance and from the big lead that they've got, they're able to tie and then with that buzzer beater, they didn't expected that it's going to end like that. Well, there's still the last game for them if they won't win that upcoming match but if they do, they need to win all of the remaining matches that they have which is going to be hard to be honest. The confidence of the Nuggets is there and that's hard to beat.

[....]
I believe that the location of the arena itself affects them because in the final minutes of the game, they look like they're very tired and they're gasping for air while the Nuggets on the other hand have used to this kind of location hence, they weren't affected at all.
This would be valid excuse if it was their first time playing against the Nuggets in their home court. AD looked kinda tired towards the end but I would say that's because he exhausted himself from defending and scoring in the first three quarters. The others were just playing fine.

AD had a mic drop and walk-out moment too after being asked about the last shot. Clearly pissed too.

Cheesy Grin

They are going to play at their homecourt, so maybe this could be a good game for the Lakers as they don't want to be in 0-3 hole. Anyways, we forget that the Denver in the defending champion here and the Lakers are the 7th seed. And usually in the first round, top teams sweep the lower team most of the time. Maybe the Lakers can adjust in the next game but this is a series so for sure the Nuggets will remain resilient and wanted to close this series to have a lot of rest, just saying.

And I'm seeing like 4-1 for the Nuggets here, unless the Lakers can come up with a plan to not just stop Jokic, but Murray as well.

They're on the lead and Nuggets won in the end. I can feel his frustration about the game.

And I'm seeing like 4-1 for the Nuggets here, unless the Lakers can come up with a plan to not just stop Jokic, but Murray as well.
And when they focus on these two, the other bench warmers are going to be the one to do some showtime. That's how the Nuggets play nowadays.

That last shot have got that man to man defense but it's just hard to stop Murray for that shot.

Hands down the best 2 game lineup back to back in a long while.  Knicks came back from a miracle to score 8 points in 27 seconds.  We even got a mike breen "BANG BANG" ( if you don't know just Google it, GOAT NBA play caller.

Was so amped stayed up and watched the other game wire to wire.  Lebron shoukd have drove the paint in the end.  He would have at a minimum been fouled.  That one stings on the legacy.  I know it's one game but that was a monster.

The Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves are about to go at it on TNT (HBO “Max” also). Honestly, this is probably my favorite matchup of the playoffs so far. The Suns are stacked with veterans and offense while the Timberwolves have a lot of hot young talent and defensive abilities. I think Phoenix will win but I’m secretly hoping the Timberwolves go all the way.

I'm in with the Timberwolves here too. They are just too strong in my opinion and their defensive capability is way higher in level than it is with the Suns and I think that's where the difference will be. The Suns' only strategy here is to answer every offense the Timberwolves throw at them and they have to be accurate with all the offensive plays because the chances that it's one-and-done are high with Gobert and KAT protecting the rim for a rebound.

Game 1 - The offensive rebounds of the Timberwolves are 13 against 3 of the Suns. 39 in defensive rebounds against 25. With the twin towers on the floor, the Suns have less odds for a second chance opportunity, so they might as well shoot in a high percentage. They need Booker and KD to go hot early and try to put a gap in the lead.

Game start!

Let's see mate... If the Lakers loss in game 3 then I can say that your prediction is right as I would not even count the succeeding game/s.

Before their series started, I also thought that this will be either a sweep or a 4-1 in favor of the defending champions. Currently it is 2-0 for Denver but we did saw that Lakers has the potential to win since they did make the games close and even had a huge lead in one of those games. But I am still holding on with my prediction. Denver might play even better as their series progressed. And as long as Jokic is healthy, there's a lot of options for the team to execute their offense. We'll see what Ham can do when the games are switching to their homecourt.
