It seems to me that he is very confident with the role that coach Malone is giving to him that's why he is performing better and better every game. It's really hard to see Zion not playing and not seeing his prime years. And maybe we could say by now that he is busted.

I’m not quite ready to declare the Westbrook to Denver experiment a success yet, but their recent play does have me leaning in that direction. We’ll see if Westbrook can keep up this style of play without costing the Nuggets some wins. Right now it is looking like they got a steal on signing Westbrook. Time will tell.

I think it might be a little early to declare the Russell Westbrook trade a success for the Nuggets, but we are seeing some promising play.  Joker and Russ seem to be building chemistry.  We'll see how that translates to the post season.

It sounds like the Pelicans are getting ready for a shakeup.  Brandon Ingram is being mentioned in a lot of trade talks suddenly.  I think he's sick of waiting for Zion to come around and wants to win some games.  This is the beginning of the end for the Pelicans hopes of winning anytime soon.

It's true, they are indeed building some chemistry and I can sometimes see that they have a simple eye-to-eye contact and a play will suddenly be a successful one. These two are both good passers and since WB likes attacking the paint, he will easily absorb the defense which makes Jokic free to score.

Yes, and I thought that this game is going to be close, but Jokic and Westbrook is on a different combination. It's like Pau Gasol and Kobe who can just talk with their eyes and knows where each one will go to score. And we all know that Westbrook has high basketball IQ as once he was really dominating the NBA with his triple double. So he can just drop pass to Jokic and to anyone when he attacks the rim.

MPJ seems to be finding his three-point range too after some awful games in early December, then there's Christian Braun who had always been helpful on both ends of the floor. This is the simple recipe for the Nuggets to win games and even blow out their opponents. If they will all follow their roles then it's difficult to stop them like what they did against the Hawks. WB is a bonus for them.

And it's really good to see MPJ as well getting back his rhythm. So I guess no more back spasm for him as his form his great. And it's all about their mentality right now, every piece of the puzzle will have to make a perfect fit including Westbrook as the newest member of the Nuggets.

Well, this is Westbrook's second triple-double this season. And as previously suggested, Westbrook might be useful to the Nuggets if he can find his rhythm even though his regular season stats seem mediocre. Still, Westbrook knows how to make triple-doubles and give a lot of assists, which is exactly what the Nuggets need.

Signing Westbrook was a gamble, but it came with little risk since he’s only on a $6.8M contract for two years. Considering his current performance, it’s turning out to be a steal. It’s understandable that his value dropped after his struggles, but he proved himself with the Clippers, where he even initiated taking a pay cut. Now, with the Nuggets, he’s playing like an MVP, and the team is reaping the benefits because they trusted him.

A gamble that is now paying off, at least we have seen the Westbrook is having like a resurgence in his career with the Nuggets even registering a triple double which he used to do during his prime years. So he could really be a perfect fit for the play that Malone has plan or it shows how brilliant coach Malone is as he was able to give Westbrook a role that he is very much comfortable for now.

And probably Jokic as well is very proud of what he is seeing on Westbrook right now and the rest of the teams are benefiting from this two great passers and they can learn a thing or two. Another thing with Westbrook is his competitiveness which the team needed specially if the game is closed. They need someone to reignite everyone and give their best.

They are really promising together with his new team, but its really early to tell that they are successful with getting him in Nuggets roster. If they could able to reach on playoffs or maybe even more better advance on the second round this time people will not argue that the trade Nuggets made to acquire Westbrook is really a good one.

It's good that he's redeeming himself again after that disappointing stint in Lakers where his performance massively declined. He has been a big help when he's on the Clippers as a bench player though it wasn't enough. Now he's a starter on the Nuggets, and in his last 10 games, he's averaging 14 PPG and 7 APG.

Jokic and Murray are their big 2 still and we can say that Westbrook is helping the team in any way that he sees fit, and in this case, it's passing. He doesn't need to score that many points to help the team as they have many scorers like Jokic, Murray, MPJ, but he can help them even more in assisting his teammates. Nevertheless, the Nuggets obviously won on this gamble of them, and they're paying him an almost veteran minimum as well so it's not a burden for them in terms of salary.

That's the most important for Westbrook. How can he maintain this kind of performance that he's playing because like you said, he's performing pretty well in his last games. On the flip side though, as much as I want to praise Westbrook and the Nuggets right now, I still don't see them as a title contenders for this season just because of how trash their bench is. They're 29th right now in offense (Spurs being the worst), and if you want to win a title, you must give importance to your bench as well.

Agree to that, Jokic really maximizing WB and with how they are playing the game that kind of trust is what WB needs to accelerate his game, like what you both said he's fit with the system and his level of support gave him that confidence again to play well, with WB it not only Jokic and Jamal but they are now a complete packages of supporting role stars that will finished their offense.

Pat Riley can say whatever he wants about Jimmy Butler’s future, but I think he’s as good as gone and it won’t be long before a trade is announced. He basically said he hates playing basketball for the Heat and he wants to be happy again somewhere else. Pat Riley must be pissed right now. And Shams is right after all, he is the first to tweet about Butler's wanting to get out of Miami and then Pat Riley tries to shoot down that noise. But it seems inevitable, with this kind of statement and body language it could be bound to happen.

I'm not sure what teams are courting Butler or what teams are interested. But this trade could happen before the trade deadline this February. And for sure, there are a lot of teams that are willing to take Butler and became their franchise player.

Zion is a talented and promising player, but players like him are too prone to various injuries and usually play in the NBA for a relatively short period. By the way, Zion has never played a full season for his short career in the NBA, i.e. there was not a single season in which he participated in all 82 games. Can he play at least 10 seasons in the NBA while getting injured all the time? I doubt it.

And Zion for sure is very frustrated on how his career has turn when he go up in pro. Just shows though that NBA is very different from college basketball and you really need to be discipline and take care of your health. Zion might have the genetics, but still if you don't the complete package, mentality and physically, you wont' last in the league and not even play healthy in one season.

The Wolves' current results during the regular season may not be particularly impressive, but the fact that they can perform well in a single game against a team like the Celtics is encouraging. Honestly, I think the Wolves can still surprise fans, especially if they make the playoffs. At least I wouldn't be surprised if they can make at least the first round in the playoffs.

Unlike last season when they impress the fans with their performance just fell short against the Mavs but this season they might still have that chance moving forward to the next round, though the chance is slim as they are not the same with the level they perform last season, just like what the post above observe, Randle might providing numbers but KAT brings more.

It is not something that is expected or possible for a basketball player to be reborn after the age of 36. But Westbrook has done it, although his performance has dropped a lot in the last few years, he is currently showing his old talents again with the Denver Nuggets.

I think it's about ANT regression in the Wolves that might have been the one of the problems. Everyone was excited this season for him as it could be his break out after last season wherein the Wolves was really very close to go to the NBA finals.

However, the Randle-KAT trade might have disrupted the team for good this season, as they struggled with Randle as a replacement for KAT. On the other hand, the Knicks are striving and having a good season for themselves and in the top of the standing.

A total package and this is very likeable for the Denver Nuggets fans. They've got an upgrade and made their roster even stronger. Don't also forget that they have Aaron Gordon.

So, they have a reliable line up and a potential come back for this season's championship ring.

Giannis must be really frustrated with his teammates right now. He and Trent Jr. managed to cut the lead to 9 points before the 4th quarter but when he sat down, his teammates blew it all and the Nets made it back to a 21-point lead. Lillard, Middleton, and Bobby.
They cannot even keep what he has done cutting that lead before he sat down. When he came in, they got close to the lead again and made it a 3-point game in the last seconds of the game but sadly, they lack the time to get a clean shot for a chance to take it to overtime.

The sadder part is they are expected to win in a blowout with a handicap of -10.5.

I have been following him for a long time and I haven’t seen this good of a gameplay from him and a good season at all for at least five years. Westbrook got a lot of heat in the last couple of years and his talent is finally paying off and people aren’t criticizing him anymore, he’s making the Denver Nuggets team a lot better in attack and currently he is better than Jamal Murray .

They’re so unpredictable. Even as a top team, I wouldn’t count on them winning another championship. This season, if the Bucks get eliminated early in the playoffs, I wouldn’t be surprised if Giannis starts asking for a trade, kind of like what Butler’s doing now.

Anyway, it’s still early, but sorry about your loss, man (your bet). Sometimes those high spreads can be total traps.
