I don't see any decline here. Just because he had one game below his usual average doesn’t mean he’s on a downward trend. Sometimes players need more time to fully recover and adjust. It’s like Mitchell last year, when he got injured, his performance dipped for a few games after he returned, but eventually, he got back on track. This season, he’s been off to a strong start. Houston had no trouble beating New York. They scored a lot of points, especially in the paint. They didn't use a lot of 3-pointers, so their scoring under the basket was important. I think Paul George doesn't have the same impact as before. He used to be a very effective player and could make a difference in the game, but now I think he's close to an average player.
It's very hard for Philadelphia to win games without Embiid. Paul George alone is not enough for the team.

PG can't carry a team. That's already proven tons of time, from Pacers down to every team he went before landing in Philly.
He had an opportunity to win a championship or atleast be in the finals, but couldn't beat the Heat as he choked with 7 pts in game 7 of the 2013 ECF.

Now, I don't see him as a great addition to the Philly team. He poses no threat no more.

He's a good player but carrying a team is out of touch for PG, he need good role player to have a balance then give better fight for their team. He became a journey man in NBA but since he's still good many teams still want to get his service.

So maybe people should lower down their expectation since aside from the said event you mentioned we really see that even if they have strong team composition they still didn't get best result in Clippers. It seems like we don't have much discussion here about Rookie of the Year right now. Based on the rookies performances so far, Zach Edey is showing strong playing performance. What's surprising is his playing time, especially since Jarett Jackson and Alabama are playing, but he's still getting over 25 minutes per game.

Yup, he's not force to provide that kind of setup he's more on providing offense the very reason why Steve Kerr continue using that system, the main defense is their offense they will keep Curry to take that long range shots and with that set up he'll be able to play longer and I agree that if he wanted to continue playing he can do that until he reached LeBron's age or more than that, unless a major injury happen and stop him to push for it.

Yes, in the last 6 years, we have seen his body developed as well, gaining a few pounds of muscle to really help him to stay in the game for so long. And since he is the greatest shooter of all time, he is not as bruised as others who have to retire early due to multiple injuries in their body. And with that, he could retire with the GSW and only few players who will retire as one of the greats, like Dirk and Kobe.

Close game between them and the Boston Celtics, let's see if they can pull an upset on the defending champs. As I'm one of those who really think that GSW will be one of the dark horse team this season.

Well you always have to differentiate between offense and defense. Offensively of course he can still shoot but his game also requires a lot of cutting and running past screens. The older you get the hard this will be because of course he will lose speed and stamina.

Last but not least, injuries are always a thing, even when you have minimal contact. It's a wear and tear situation you know.

Oh, when I look at the scores, I thought that the OKC Thunder are going to win that game and so I didn't bother to read. I pretty much watch the Warriors vs Celtics game, And the Warriors also a big underdog was able to win that game although Jaylen Brown is not present. So only the Cavs remain the unbeaten team, but they will have to face the Warriors next so I'm seeing that Steph will give their all against the only unbeaten team and who knows, maybe they can pull an upset as they are also in a roll right now as the team spirit is very high and that Buddy Hield is a great acquisition. Even Slow-Mo Anderson is making great basketball and helping them, with 3 consecutive 3 point shot. Although the Celtics also makes a huge comeback with their 3's, the Warriors remain confident in the stretch and Looney with that great pullback to seal the win for them.

Yes, but it's the question whether teams have over paid him and like those any other superstar that can't fill in big shoes as a leader. Another example is Kahwi with the Clippers or even Hornet's Ball, being paid in millions sitting because they are injured, although Ball is already playing this season.

He needs to be consistent though to really help his team win games. As we have seen Murray is out and so not just WB, but there are some players in the rotation that has been involved and score points that push their team to win.

And the defense that they put on SGA on the last play, block his shots and take away that overtime.

1-6 against 1-6 later. Milwaukee Bucks versus the Utah Jazz. Oh, this will be a great match. Both teams are struggling, Utah has some reasons because they still lack their superstars, Clarkson and Markkanen. Bucks on the other hand still have Lillard, but Middleton is out and Giannis is questionable.
I think the Jazz will win this one if the Bucks will play without Giannis but if he does play, it will go the other way around.

The other game is the Chicago Bulls versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.
I read an article that the Bulls are playing better in these last 8 games with 3 wins and 5 losses. Do you guys think that the departure of DeMar DeRozan did good for them? I mean, they are now focusing on distance shots unlike with DeMar with perimeters and more players have been given a chance to play more minutes. Could the addition of Giddey also play a part in those wins? That dude is really a good passer averaging 6 assists per game.
