I think LeBron could easily average 30+ points if he wanted to, but as you said above, it's not necessary. His current stats show that he averages close to a triple-double per game, and it seems to me to be much more efficient than just scoring a lot of points per game. By the way, even though the regular season is still in its early stages, the Lakers are already looking good, as they are currently in third spot in the Western Conference standings.

He could, but at what cost. Sure he still runs like a young guy but he must also conserve his energy. The season is long, injuries can happen at any time if you take it too hard and force it too much. We are still in the early stage of the season and obviously it's better the safe the best for last, meaning the playoffs or at least the rest towards it, if necessary.
LBJ always knew to keep his body in the best possible shape, so I think he also knows that doing too much would probable harm him more than doing good.

LBJ is using his IQ right now, he just let the game come to him, not the other way around or force himself to score and run. And maybe in the last 4 games of him, obviously, he unlocks another of his talent to register a triple double and his team winning the game with this kind of setup.

And it will not cost anything on his body because as I have said, the game come to him. Or he really has to do it, however, it took him 22 years to finally realized that he should change his style of game. Just like what Michael Jordan did in his second coming. That's why we had his another signature move of fade away as he is no longer young and can't take the brutal physically of the last 90's style of playing. So this is GOAT of what LBJ is showing to us right now.

While I do agree that Lebron is doing great job, the whole "for a 39 year old" doesn't really make sense to me at all. He is averaging 23.3 points per game, 9.2 assists, 8.6 rebounds per game and he does that with 51% fg with 43% three pointers as well.

He has invested a lot to his physique and that's no doubt why he can still do that at his age. He's defying the odds but only few players reaches to that point.

I was just coming in here to talk about this.  Should be a great game with the defending champs going up against the surprisingly undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers.  I want to say that Boston is going to win, they should, but the Cavs have been playing on another level lately.  Winning games even without their star player Donovan Mitchell.  Topping things off, this game will be on TNT which means I'll be able to stream it on MAX (formerly HBO).  If we're only looking at the stats and this season, you could make the argument this is the biggest game of the year so far.

I sort of agree about the Suns.  This current team is not performing as well as the team that made it to the Finals.  They lack a true point guard and a good center.  I've been saying that team has been trending downward since letting Ayton go.  We'll see if they make any moves throughout the season.

The stats don't lie, Ayton's loss is the main reason this team is no longer a championship contender. They should’ve kept Ayton and maybe traded Paul and a few others instead. Ayton was a big threat in the paint, and right now, they don't have anyone like him in their lineup. Plus, injuries are piling up, making things worse. The thing is, they lost again today. It’s hard to compete when your roster is thin and missing the most important player like Durant.

To be fair, they weren't happy with Ayton himself and I can understand why, he didn't really looked that good but they needed a big that much is for sure. Right now, there is no natural Centre that plays many minutes for them, Nurkic is the only one and he plays 23 minutes a game, they start the game with him but they go smaller and smaller, basically at a big part of the game I see Durant literally defending centres, that makes no sense.

So the reality is that it is not just about Ayton leaving, you can trade away or not sign your centre and that's fine, if you do not like him as a person even that's fine, hell lakers literally let Shaq go, imagine how much mismanagement has to be done to let Shaq go, so letting your player go isn't really a big deal, but not replacing him is. Ayton was let go, and nobody else was hired instead of him, and that is the problem they are facing right now, they have to realize that they are going to face a lot of issues if they are not careful and not get a centre. They should sign one right away.

Well, didn't I say it some days ago?  I was sure the streak ends in Boston. Sure it was a close game but these 2 teams are not on the same level, even if Cleveland was undefeated until now. It was a close game.  The Boston Celtics shot over 50% from three point range or else they wouldn't have won this game.  I was impressed with how well the Cavaliers played.  It's hard to beat anybody shooting from beyond the arch at that high of a percentage.  That's what it took to get them their first loss and it was even a little controversial.  Tatum laid a pretty good foul on Mitchell at the end of the game that could have easily been called a flagrant and gave them a chance to tie the game.  The Cavs are for real.

TBH, I'm rooting with the Celtics having back-to-back title and I said it even before the season even started that's why I also know that they can defeat the Cavaliers, but it's only a 3-point game. I guess the Celtics now will be having a harder time winning the East because of the Cavaliers.

Well, if one of your all-star players is shooting only 3/21 on the field, you'd expect that it would be a blowout game. If one of your key players is having a bad night, you expect that the game ended on a double-digit lead, but it wasn't. Garland has a bad night on this one, so I guess we can say that the Cavaliers could've won this game if ONLY Garland hadn't a bad night, isn't it? Mitchell tried to carry his team with 35 points, but it wasn't enough.

I said that the Celtics could win the East, but the Cavaliers are a legit title contender now if you will ask me. It seems like one good coach is what they need to win a title, eh?

That’s the big difference this season, a different coach, and you can see the difference in how they don’t give up easily. There’s definitely a chance the Celtics could lose to the Cavaliers. Even though their winning streak is over, the Cavaliers are consistent enough to start another one, don’t you think?

On another note, let’s talk about Dalton Knecht. He just hit a career high against the Jazz and was absolutely on fire in the 3rd quarter, going 9-for-12 from beyond the arc overall. This rookie is really making his name known, If he doesn’t win ROY this season, I’d bet he’s got a great chance at taking the 3-Point Contest crown during the All-Star Weekend. This kid is really special..

So he is not really scoring very little because he can't, he is picking his shots but having 9.2 assists meaning that he is passing his chance to teammates to bring them higher this year, to give them a bit more confidence.

This is why I honestly believe that he is doing great for any age, it's not just great for 39, that makes it sound like if a 25 year old kid did it we wouldn't care this stats, but when a 39 year old does it we care about it. That's not the case, if you see 23-9-8 from anyone with 51-43-76 splits then we would say that's a good player and that is why I believe that we should not be really considering his age when complimenting his age. Lebron is definitely the GOAT and he is proving that every season.

I do not think that people are saying that for a dig at him, I mean he is doing great for a 39 year old is usually said because any season he has, could be done better by most superstars, but to be able to still do that at 39 years old is definitely shocking, that's what people are talking about.

Nobody is saying that his stats are bad for a 25 year old but great for 39 years old person, what they are trying to say is that we have never seen a 39 year old person playing like this, hell I am not sure how many players were still starting games at 39 years old, Kareem did, but not many else I can remember to be fair. So the fact that he is doing this at 39 years old "adds" to his amazingness, if a 25 year old did this then it would be boring, like Giannis could have better stats, that's not really a shock to me and nothing to talk about, of course they could do better stats too, there is no news there, but when a 39 year old dude does what a 25 year old could do, that becomes a news and a shocking thing to see.

Well, reality check for the Cavs, I guess we all could agree that they seem like a legit playoff contender now that could beat any team in the West and can go toe-to-toe against the defending champs.

Dalton Knecht is literally a snipper, and a good addition for any team to have on their roster, whether he's coming from the bench or not, his 3pt shooting will a huge source of worry for opponent who are still finding it difficult to contain Lebron and AD.

Lakers have been somewhat a better team since dropping D'Angelo Russell to the bench, while that may not always be necessary for all matches, I think it's a decision that's currently working positively for Lakers as a team, JJ Reddick being able spot that further shows his knowledgeable about the game's requirement imo.

37 points. Damn. That kid is sure awesome and entertaining to watch. He didn't disappoint, he used those minutes to make a name for himself and this is how stars can be born. Maybe now the Lakers will try him one more time and see if he can repeat what he has done. I just wish it would not be like another Lonnie Walker IV who was also given some minutes and proved his shooting capability but never got a contract again.
Well, Knecht is young and I think he will be like an Austin Reeves type where the Lakers will also try to make him improve his game and be one of their starting five someday. Truly, they find a gem in the market.

It was an epic performance from a rookie. Notably, his first 10 games in the regular season were pretty weak, as there were only a couple of games where he scored 10 or more points. However, in the last 4 games, his performances have gotten noticeably better for some reason. If this guy has really found his rhythm and continues to perform as well as he did the last 4 games, he will definitely be a candidate for the Rookie of the Year award.

Cavs finally got their first ever loss, which isn't a shocker that it was against the last champions, Celtics played a great game and even with their best effort we have seen them just win by three points, totally a close game and it could have gone either way.

This is proving that Cavs are actually playing great right now. I do not think that they have anyone that amazing to be fair, surely Donovan Mitchell is great there is no doubt about that, but nobody else is that awesome, they are good but not star players. Mobley? Allen? Garland? Becoming this great with these type of players they are not really looking like they have what it takes to be this great and yet they are still doing great at the moment without a doubt.

We should be considering how they could be one of the few teams like Detroit Pistons of 2004 where they win without having a superstar on the team. Mitchell is the only one we could consider star, and this day and age, being this good with just one of them and that one is arguable, we can't really see that much from them and they are still overachieving for sure.

It's funny that JJ Reddick said that the assistant coach wants Dalton out when he was contributing a lot to that game.

I don't understand that there's a real politics in there and coaches like JJ are standing for these kids that are on the momentum. When there are some of these assistant coaches want to cut the fun and want the kid out.
