Is it normal for Detroit, who were leading by 16 points in the first half, to lose the game by only 2 points? I've seen a lot of surprising results this year, but for Detroit to lose to a team like Brooklyn after being so far ahead makes me think differently.

I don't want to play devil's advocate, but scores like this don't seem normal to me.

This is normal for a team to lose, NBA is not like other league their level of plays are not normal, seen other teams leading by 20 and still lose, even Brooklyn can upset a team, besides there are times that players are unable to play the same level, they called it off game, where in the end game no matter how you like to score you are unable to win it for your team, but we have different opinions, and also different look on teams, but i don't underestimate other teams because they have talents, maybe they just got lucky or something to win the game, but it does not mean they are not skilled.

SGA is really something special... He scored 35 points with only 4 FTs. He doesn't prefer 3-PT much normally but in this one he made 3 of them. Especially 2 of them came in really critical moments of Q4.

Jokic also played great but couldn't win the duel against SGA. Currently SGA is still number 1 candidate for regular season MVP as far as I know. And I believe he is likely to stay there unless he gets injured again.

Two MVP candidates showing their skills, but again the OKC Thunder managed to win the game. I thought the Denver Nuggets might take it after they made it close in the 4th quarter, but OKC still ended up winning by 3 points.

The good thing for Denver though is that Aaron Gordon is back. He had a double-double in this game with 23 points, so moving forward the team should look more solid. In a best-of-seven series I think the Nuggets still have a good chance of beating the defending champions, especially if they stay healthy and keep playing like this.

SGA will definitely be the number one in the MVP votes by the end of the year as well, I am not expecting that to change anytime soon and we should see them do a great job.

However, that doesn't change the fact that he is never going to eb a superstar and mentioned anywhere, even wit ha title, even with MVP even with maybe multiple titles, he will never be considered among the top.

Because they are not looking that bad at all and they are considering the thing to change for the long term as well.

I don't know what you think but I see Spurs-Celtics as the most attracting game of the night. They have played against each other only once so far in the season. Spurs won that one by 5 points.

However now Tatum is back at Celtics as you know. This changes things a lot even though he has just returned. I find his full recovery phase quite fast considering his recent stats.

Yeah this is one of best match good to watch tonight, Although its hard to say which team can easily pull the win since Lakers is winning, while Wolves lose in their last game. Although their young core looks great recently so let's see if Minnesota young core can destroy the streak of Lakers or the Lakers itself will add another lose to Minnesota.

Also Celtics and Spurs is another great game to watch. Both team is so hot this season and let's also see if young spurs with Wemby can able to defeat the well experience Celtics today.

Spurs have been solid at home. Remember when they were down big against the Clippers and still managed to come back and win the game, that showed a lot about how they’re improving as a team. I think they’ve matured and become more competitive now, and tonight is another good test for them. The crowd will definitely be behind them too which always helps when they play at home.

If you’re looking for an edge and believe the Spurs are really strong on their home court, then even at -3.5 it could still have value. But if you have some doubts, you could just go with the moneyline instead.

Tonight there's Spurs vs. Celtics on TV, it will definitely be a very tight game. I watched the Celtics in their last 2 games, things are going well since Tatum's return. The Spurs have also won 4 games in a row. I watched them a bit when they played against the Pistons and the Rockets.

Both teams are 2nd in their conferences and are among the championship contenders. The Spurs will have the advantage if they use the paint well. For the Celtics to win they probably need to rain down threes.

I can’t believe it. Sort of messed up that they put him back in the game after they already secured the win to let him get 83 and pass Kobe. I don’t think Bam deserves that record but they got the win and he scored the points… Many at the free throw line. His % was respectable though. Just a shame to see Kobe’s record taken.

Watching thru 3rd quarters, he had 62 already, so I said that there's no way that he will score 20+ points in the last quarter as he might have to take a seat as they have a good lead. But perhaps him and the Heat knows that something is really special tonight and so they push him to surpassed Kobe's score.

So there's no stopping Bam from getting that 83 points for the record setting.

While I might agree with you that his team was intentionally fouling the Wizards for him to get more possession, nobody will remember that thing after a year or two. 

Whenever they try to see the highest-scoring game in NBA history, do you believe that they will say that "Ohhh Bam's team did try to foul their opponent team for him to score more." Of course not, and nobody will ever think about it at all. People will only remember the fact that Bam scored 83 points in a single game. Nothing more. Nothing less. We only care about that because it's recent, but over time, people will just move on and forget about it, but the 83 points that he made? That will remain as one of the best scoring nights by an NBA player.

Go ask us after a year or two and we will not remember what they did in order for Bam to score 83 points. For some, it might not be in the same sentence as with Kobe's but score-wise, Bam made history, and that's all the matters.

First of all, not a record.  Not gonna take anything away from him but the way this went down is a bit lame, honestly. I don't like record chasing like this, especially when the whole team is in on it.
Some other players could have gotten to 80 or something similar as well but they sat out the whole 4th quarter. Kobe put the team in HIS back, in this one Miami but Bam on THEIR back. Big difference.

This makes sense. However, a record is still a record no matter how an individual did it, but yeah, I agree that Kobe's 81 is more impressive than Bam's (IN MY OPINION).
I think the team supported him all the way after his scorching hot performance in the 1st quarter, scoring 31 of 40. As he continued until the 3rd and broke LeBron's record for most points in a single game in the Heat franchise, they then decided to chase Kobe's record after that. It's pretty clear they were forcing it, and Bam was forcing it as well. That 3pt FG attempts says it all.
But then again, a record is a record, still kudos to the man who's the MOST unlikely to break any scoring record in a single game. If there's an active betting line for players who are most likely to break it, names like Luka, Lillard, and Booker are among the top favourites. Bam, most likely not on that list. Crazy stuff! lol!

A lot of people on social media are now talking about Bam Adebayo. It’s impressive indeed, second highest scoring in a single NBA game in history. But at the same time, I feel like it’s not as impressive compared to what Kobe or Wilt did. I feel like Shai or even Luka could also do this with their team’s cooperation. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone breaks this record again, and it probably won’t even take 20 years.
