I mean,, the result was expected, totally. It's a miracle already that the Lakers scored 108 points with basically all their scorers not suiting up tonight.

That performance really reflects how solid the Spurs’ defense is. It looked like they knew they could easily handle an undermanned Lakers team, so they were just playing loose and enjoying it, like there was no real competition.

No wonder the spread was so high. Bettors who stayed updated with the injury reports probably cashed in easily tonight.

Without their key players surely Lakers can't withstand the competitiveness of Spurs and we all see what happened, they being beated hard from 1st-3rd quarter and established that big leads that Lakers can't do anything to rally back, though it's already anticipated as Spurs even they composed mostly of young guns but the chemistry is really solid and they know how to play both ways, good offense and defense that brings them good wins.

With the new trades happening all around the league or has happened already, I think it's going to be taking a while for everyone to start playing together of course but it's going to be amazing when they are all playing.

We have seen some serious trades, like what Memphis has done for example, I think it's very possible that they even trade out Morant because they are basically tanking and Morant wouldn't want to be in a team with 20 wins all year long, that would be bad for his development and career. The trade deadline has passed and I don't see the Grizzlies buying out Ja Morant, so he'll be staying put for now at least.  Maybe in the offseason we see a sign and trade or something like that, but Memphis is somewhat out of options for the time being when it comes to Ja Morant's future.

That's why the odd for that match was quite high for the Lakers. I guess that we get the idea if ever these cores won't be playing in their games. They can't just go on without these core players and they're needed at all times. Although standing wise, they're fifth in the west and that's just fine. Maybe can still go on with some games without them but, they can't just let it go always at the same time and let the wins slip for them.

The NBA truly offers a rich spectacle in this respect. We have to say that the players get very tired during travel. They are constantly forced to take long flights. I think this is enough to explain some of the inexplicable performance drops. Trades have been made, and now I can't wait to watch the new games. Speaking of Spurs, they have released  Jeremy Sochan, making him a free agent now. I guess this is forthcoming as Sochan used to be their starting forward. But this season, he was no longer in the rotation for unknown reasons.

He was drafted 9 overall if I'm not mistaken, same with Banchero and Holmgren. So imagine that, being a 9 pick and then your team just drop you after a good start with them. And he was a beloved fan favorite by San Antonio.

It will be against the Hawks later, but the next game will be against the strong Rockets. They will need their 2 men back to create a new win streak and maybe put their team in a higher rank in the East.

I think they can but without the main starting 5 that let them extend that streak I guess they'll struggle to make that once again. It is not a big problem for both teams, but it will definitely affect their rotation. I wonder if the Hornets would have won that game and extended their winning streak if the brawl had not happened. I just feel bad about their streak because they really had chance to win if that brawl did not happen.

Anyway, there are 14 NBA games today before the Allstar break. Just bet on the teams you are confident will win. Allstar break will be quite long. So it’s nice to go into the break with win. lol

His performance isn't very encouraging. His career averages are 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. Given this, they must think they won't even be able to trade him. However, he's only 22 and can prove himself. I think he'll definitely continue in the NBA. But he might go to Europe after a while.

That is too early to conclude but yes there are signs that they are the contender in the east but , I wont count out other teams because when it comes to playoffs the pistons will be tested in a seven game series, in rounds with other playoffs spots, meaning there only advantage is an 8th seed team but when it comes to east finals that is when things will be hard, but giving them an advantage but its anybody's ball game , and even an 8th seed can upset the 1st seed remember the mavs.

Sure he scored 40 points, but we are talking about a basketball superstar with unlikely ability of being a guard level talented for a player who is 20 feet tall (okay maybe not THAT tall lol) so I was expecting him to use this game to maybe try to break some scoring records.

He played only 26 minutes, which I expected him to play a lot more, but more importantly he shot only 20 times and I honestly expected them to just give him the ball every single time because it looked like there was nobody that could have stopped him, dude could have scored a lot more if he just wanted to.

When they miss so many big players in a game of that magnitude that would be absolutely devastating for them, and when you see the result of the game you will understand that they really do miss this players, they really do miss LeBron and Luka, I didn’t know that Luka wasn’t going to play that game, but I was completely sure that LeBron wasn’t going to play the game as well, I have known that Spurs was going to be beat the Lakers, even with the presence of LeBron, Luka, Ayton, it has been a very spectacular performance from the spurs team who I’m thinking are going to have a very successful season and they will go all the way in the playoffs, Wemby have been a good player for the spurs and he has been showing alot of good performances and leading this Spurs teams and having 40 points on a bounce that is a big performance from the player.

LOL, there are so many things wrong with your nonsense post. First of all, this game ended like 24 hours ago, so it's basically old news. Second, Wemby only played 26 minutes because he didn't have to play more. Resting your body is more important than chasing empty numbers. Criticizing somebody for "only" scoring 40 points is pretty ridiculous don't you think?

And by the way, only 6 players in the whole NBA average more than 20 shots per game, Wemby had 20 shots in 26 minutes.

Woah, I’m surprised the Warriors managed to keep the lead against the Spurs even without Curry, and the Spurs haven’t even taken the lead once. But I won’t be surprised if the Spurs manage a comeback. As of writing this post, the 16 point lead is now down to 5 points. I won’t be upset if the Warriors lose in the end, that’s the Spurs after all. They don’t have Curry, and the Spurs have Castle, Wemby, Fox, and Vassell playing.
