There is already a huge improvement now compared to last season, one major reason is having Fox and though Wemby could still be their main offense the pressure on him is less now. That’s why the team is getting better. In this win against Charlotte they out-rebounded them, and everyone was really contributing.

So you can see that they are becoming unpredictable, even if teams double or triple Wemby his teammates can still do the scoring since he is surrounded with good 3 point shooters.

No need to hurry the kid, Michael Jordan didn't have his first ring till almost 30 or he has to endure the beatings from the Pistons. But once he matured, the rest is history. The thing with Wemby is that he still very young but his progression is very fast, like he has improved his outside shooting specially 3's and somewhat has the resiliency of like a veteran as he is not afraid to get bodied by anyone. So in the next 2-3 years, that could be the best gauge whether he is ripe enough to be one of the best and bring the multiple championship in the Spurs franchise once again.

That Luka Doncic game winner was cold! They sent him the double team and he didn’t think about passing it for a second. He just fired a fadeaway and took home the win. This after Austin Reeves executed the perfect missed free throw to send the game to overtime. Good win.

What a game for the Lakers and the Nuggets!
After being down by as much as 17 points at some point, the Nuggets were able to come back and even had an 8pt lead in the 4th. They were about to win the game, being up by 2pt with Reaves to on the line with just 1 free throw left. Reaves then intentionally missed the free throw, and it ricocheted back to him, who then sank the floater and sent the game to overtime. Then another thriller in overtime as the game was tied at 15 secs. Then Luka sank the clutch stepback jumper with 0.5 secs. left!

Credit to the Denver Nuggets, though, they fought hard to come back to the game. I thought it would end the same as what they did to the Spurs. Down by 20 and came back to win the game.

Yeah he supposed to win since he have more better all around numbers than SGA, but unfortunately individual performance does not guarantee anything. Since team success, people narrative and also voting will give them more higher chance to win and SGA get all of it that's why he got the MVP last season.

This season it seems that SGA still have huge chance to win another MVP if OKC also succeed to advance on more rounds.

I don't get why Jokic isn't the clear frontrunner in the MVP race. This guy averages a freaking tripple double this season so far. Also his impact is MUCH higher on Denver's performance since OKC for example is deeper than the Nuggets, which makes missing SGE not as tough for them as when Denver is missing the joker.

While Wemby is a great player, he should never be considered higher than Jokic, at least not at the moment. Sure, his impact is much higher defensively but on the whole game I would say Jokic is still better.

I think these guys making those lists make winning a way to overrated factor. Putting SGA on top because OKC has the best record is nonsense. The team is great and clicking, even without SGA. Denver is winning also and is only 1 game behind 3rd place in the west, so the winning argument shouldn't be that big imo.

That's how rigged the media voting is and it seems that they don't want Jokic to win another MVP award again. There's really huge difference if we look at the stats since Jokic is far away more better than SGA and Wemby.

But it seems that the voters looking at team success and ignore the efforts made of the player. Maybe this is the reason why Jokic has been listed at top 3 while the fact is he really deserve to be listed at the top 1 on the MVP race.

I think the media works in such a way that you wouldn’t understand, because there are so many controversies in the madia and different opinions where you would struggle to understand the difference situation compared to the availability of the voting power in the media.

Yeah, sometimes teams success is always important, but a player also has to contribute to the success of the team that is how it works right now, which is why any player that wins MVP is always from a team that have successfully won the Playoffs, Jokic have done enough to be MVP, and Wemby have also done enough to win the MVP, now it will be decided by who wins the playoffs when the time comes wins the MVP.

in my opinion Austin Reaves has been Lakers best player lately. His name isn't as big as Leron’s or Luka’s but his contribution is actually greater than both. Right now, he’s playing for peanuts but he’ll be possibly locking down a contract worth at least $50 million a year soon.

There was also Smart’s hustle. Anyway, there’s a rumor that Reaves will get a massive contract extension this coming offseason. With his performance this season, he deserves more than the previous offer that he declined. He was right to decline it and prove he isn’t Schroder 2.0, it was worth the gamble. He is now their second best scorer. Once James is out, the Lakers will probably rely on Reaves as well, aside from Luka of course.

No denying, we’ve seen them playing together before when LeBron was out early in the season and they were doing great.
But it’s still different without LeBron though, he still remains the best player of the team, their captain, and with the experience he has it makes his teammates way more better. I like how the lakers responded in that crucial game, probably one of the best games they had, and it felt like a playoff atmosphere.

In the past games especially in the last playoffs, they were always dominated by the nuggets. Now with Luka this could be different.

There was an early broadcast today, so I had the chance to watch the Raptors vs. Pistons game. The Pistons were good in the first half, but the Raptors played very well in the third quarter and after they took the lead they didn't give it back. The Pistons had beaten the Raptors in their last 7 meetings but that streak ended today.

The Pistons haven't been playing very well in the last few games, but they are still clearly leading the East. I think it's due to fatigue and load management. There are 15 games left, the Pistons have a very high chance of finishing first. Entering the play-offs fresh matters more at this point.

How people will look at this achievement of Bam would be different if Kobe's alive, and he congratulated him. Instead of being criticized, it will be praised.

Like what I said, haters gonna hate and if you are being hated, that means you're doing something great, and in this case, it's Bam surpassing Kobe's 81-point scoring game which is very rare to happen. Some will say negative things, but we know that after a few months, those will fade, and people will just move on from it. I said it already that people can criticize the player for a few weeks to a month, and after that they'll stop, but the achievement that Bam got will remain there at the top, and will be at the top for quite some time.

I consider the Lakers as lucky on this game. I mean imagine leading by double digits for the majority of the game, then you let that lead vanish and you also let your opposing team take the lead at one point? Hate to say this, but the Lakers are really that terrible on defense, and we know  that.

Let's remove LeBron already because the Lakers will not re-sign him after this regular season, so let's focus on their duo frontline. If Lebron becomes a free agent, that will open to a huge cap space and they can give Reaves a bigger contract just to stay and at the same time, they can sign better role players to help them on defense as well. This year isn't their year, but I wonder what will be their moves on the off-season, and will that be enough for them to compete for the title?
