How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ?

Best thing to do is to search for another hobby that is going to keep you busy but will cost less money then gambling.
If you are able to do that then I am sure that you are going to be able to quit with in not time.

I agree because that is going to help you get away from gambling and gets you to focus on other things, let some friends help you with this.
That way it becomes much easier then when you are doing ti alone.

But choose friends wisely. do you know that some time these friends get you addicted to gambling? I saw lots of that type of cases happen when some friends bring a buy to casino and force him to play with them just for fun. but the fun was turn into deep addiction after some times.
so always find good and well character friends if you want to stay healthy and wealthy.

Yeah! you have sex all the time that your buddy cannot afford to work on in your computer to bet. I mean, even if you do that you will be still bored because that is the nature of a human.

i am getting addicted to gambling.And i am loosing a lot of money.I am loosing what i can't afford to lose.its sad that when you start loosing its just busted me again and again.at last i gamble for fun but now when i am getting addicted i am loosing too much.

Same situation sir im being addicted too in gambling two years ago everyday i do gambling if one day i cannot gamble i feel sick see what addicted me in gambling. I have no luck in gambling but now i stop gambling i find another hobby not to gamble now i go in trading and here in forum. The best thing you can do self decipline.

Good to see self-discipline brought miracles in your life. But now you need to be more careful, because I have seen some people are doing trading in a gambling way. They are just testing their luck with trading instead of gambling. So do trade, only how it has to be done.

That's right, going out on travel could make you temporarily away from gambling, and also spending time with family and friends.. But, I think instead of going out on a travel, I think it is much worth the time to find a job, mostly gamblers have no jobs( not all ) or staying too much time sitting and standing around the house, and some of them are also gambling to make a living..

Vacation trip will only make you stay away for several days, once you come back from the trip and you meet your PC you will think about gambling again if you do online gambling. Vacation is not enough to make you stay away, even you can do gamble on your vacation as well if you can not remove the word "gambling" from your own mind.

Physical activities will do help, like playing basketball or any sports you want to do with yourself. If you are really that serious in quitting gambling you will need to do everything to focus on your change and never be distracted in gambling again.

The key point there was really the desire of that person to quit  gambling and to slowly take the next step , i think going to other sites is not a good idea because they may find another option somehow related to gambling

If a person is so addicted or really addicted to gambling he can never stay out of gambling and will always think about getting more profit with gambling that is why he should focus on other things that he can get money online maybe trying to get a job online or generating money on sites that are not risky not like gambling, or if he really want to stay away for good on gambling focus it on his work will be good!

Yes, when a gambler into trading, he might want to trade in the gambling way. That is not the good way to risk, even though your gambling mind might force you to do so. Because I have seen some traders are playing with their money in trading by taking uncalculated risks which is somewhat common while gambling.

Well that is going to be a good way if you are going to stay out of internet. But the thing is gambling is not only in internet. Even in real life there is gambling.

So, if you are going to get addicted with sports activities like basketball, tennis and other recreational activities for sure you are going to help yourself stay away in gambling.
