Nah, I think you can't forget gambling that way... Actually that might lead to just make you want to gamble more...  But if you are busy and in focus on your work ( not those times that you are in your work and you are thinking about betting) I mean a very dedicated you.. That way, there will be no space in your mind about gambling...Discipline and good strong will, that would make you quit gambling... 

Yup! that would certainly not a right thing to do so you would stop in playing gambling, well in my case I am not playing gambling anymore but I am very aware and still reading in gambling forum and still posting in here so I would remind everyone that is addicted to gambling how gambling can change most of people's life by getting addicted to it.

making yourself busy with other hobbies to occupy your time is a good way of staying away from gambling but don't forget you should stay away from gambling and all gambling related stuff if you are an addict so gambling forums included.

Its easy to quit gambling, when you go so deep and you realize some things in your mind you will know when is over...when you lost all your money, and you need more to gamble then you got into problems, and you can  made some mistakes, some stupid things..then you will regret and never again gamble..so before that mistakes and stupid things - STOP with that. I know a lot people who lost their home, familly and friends..that is terrible stuff. If you know where is limit that is good if not - then its late.

quitting gambling is easy only if you were not yet drawn too deep. But for those persons who was totally addicted to it then we really can't say that there would be an easy way to quit addiction. As what they have said prevention is better than cure.

There are many ways to avoid gambling one of which is to be busy with other things . Devote free time playing online games or sports . And do not think you were invincible in the past for not considering a return to gambling . When you think of the losses were primarily to compensate think so should abandon it and return no more . And self- discipline as that to cope with it .

I do agree with that if you really want to stay away from gambling you must have strong determination. So, you are going to help yourself to stay away from gambling.

I do agree with that if you really want to stay away from gambling you must have strong determination. So, you are going to help yourself to stay away from gambling.

If a person has a strong determination indeed he can do that, but as far as a addicted to gambling can control is his mind over gambling, a lot of addicted gamblers doesn't have that determination needed to overcome his addiction that is why he will need further help from a psychiatrist or a psychologist for a medication or consultation procedure if he will need to be rehabilitated or not.

I think the effective way to stay away from gambling is give all your money to your mother or your wife. So you can't gambling anymore because you don't have money to gamble.

if you are already addicted why you can give them your precious money? Moreover you ask them to hold it for you, that doesnt make any sense because no matter they hide it, you will always find ways to get that money to play. Unless you are make yourself busy without thinking any gambling games or even how much your loss before. By making some distraction you will have time to quit it rather than give your precious money to your family

Well this is a good suggestion for you to be able to stay away from gambling. And don't forget to block the sites to your computer or laptop.

And don't do it alone, get some help from your friends so that you are not going to know what is going to be the password or process of unblocking the sites.

Because if you are going to do that alone if you are going to block it by yourself, you are just going to unblock that easily.

This is a good list of things to do except for the bold one (for obvious reasons). If you are not yet too deep into gambling, this list can help you. But if your already too.deep, you can also easily bypass this list by recreating new accounts and revisiting gambling websites. You can add on the list, have someone to check you if you regress back to gambling and have him stop you if you do.

Like sports, in sports you can have a healthy life and once you get hooked to it you will be looking to involved more. It is a good chance because it will take you away from your computer where you can easily gamble.
