News: BIP91 seems stable: there's probably only slightly increased risk of confirmations disappearing. You should still prepare for Aug 1.

We must encourage the local bussiness to accept BTC in their bussiness, so that they are updated to the latest bussiness transaction in our networking society. Many bussiness sector use BTC as their bank account or we should say their money. BTC is the most legal way to transact bussiness using bitcoin as your money. As the year passes by many bussiness sector overcome the network society where online bussiness already produced. So the needs of the local bussiness  must required through BTC, and they must know the good benefits of btc in their bussiness cycle.

Unless you transgressed through time, then you're just being delusional. All of what you're saying belongs to the future and we're still not 100% sure if it's going to be that way. "Many" business sector? Can you name them? I doubt that there's more than 10 businesses out there that's been using bitcoin as a way to store their money. Of course companies that started in bitcoin don't belong here like the ICOs/crowdsale. Many merchants are interested in accepting bitcoin because of the hype but then they learn that the transaction fee would be a huge percentage of the money transferred for microtransactions.

If Businesses starts accepting Bitcoin, it will boost their business in a very high quality. But looking at the point of a long time for confirming transactions, this might be a problem, but if it is resolved, then it will be the best for business.

I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.

A precisce explanation is a must, a presenation with reading materials will be a good medium for a discussion

Right now we have many proofs like countries legalizing the bitcoins. Now it won't hard be to convince the local business people for accepting bitcoin as a payment method.

That's making the job easier, we don't have to encourage them to accept bitcoin. They will just adopt it when they read about the news that Japan and South Korea starts adopting bitcoin.

Indeed, because I do believe that we don't need to encourage them to use bitcoin because we'll just annoyed them. Hence, the better way to encourage them is to give some articles about bitcoin and its up to them if they will adopt it or not.

Just because Japan and South Korea legalized bitcoin common users who were aware about bitcoin won't start accepting bitcoin into their business. The adoption or the acceptance happens only when the user himself realize that bitcoin acceptance will increase business. For this the users need to explain or else he himself need to get interested towards it.

Organizing small seminars about the benefits of using bitcoins in business. You can also show them a little about setting it up and using how it works, this way they would fall in love the modesty of the system. Show them stats about the success of biotin in your community and the future speculations so they are confident to accept it.

If one of the business owners starts using bitcoin system for payment other will be automatically attracted to it in no time.

That's what I really doubt. Why? Because steam, Microsoft, and Starbucks are already accepting bitcoins yet here we are. Unless the majority of merchants are already accepting bitcoins and a lot of people are looking for it, merchants, especially the small ones, will still not accept bitcoins. It's not a chain reaction that if your neighboring store is accepting bitcoins, you're inclined to accept it as well.

I think the only way to truly encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin is for customers to go ask for it. One customer asks for bitcoin payment, the store owner doesn't take notice. But if in a day, 10 people are asking for it, then they will be intrigued and start searching about it. He might even look for a guy that can implement it to his store system.

But that's not going to happen today unless we hire 10 different guys to pretend that they are looking for bitcoin payment. Of course they have to know about bitcoin in order to qualify because the store owner might start asking questions.

For me I think the way to encourage them is giving them all the needed information about BTC. If they know what it truly worth they might accept it.

You will have to convince them that going into such a step will be sound to their business, meaning it should spell profit to them as profit is their primary goal. This will simply be done by telling them that there are many people who are into bitcoin and that they are having a hard time looking for businesses that accept bitcoin as payment. If they are convinced, you will have to spread the word to your friends who are into bitcoin to patronize such businesses. If this business will end up doing good, others will for sure imitate.

That's true but you should also explain them everything about bitcoins as they will be willing to accept bitcoins as a mode of payment only if they have enough knowledge of it and also there should be many people around them who will be making payments via bitcoins then only it will be profitable for them.

I don't think that we should do anything actually! When you try and force something up on somebody, that doesn't work well as imagined!

We need to keep improving on our technology and on our applications and all these people, merchants, etc, will come towards us eventually when they see and hear about all the benefits that Bitcoin can give to them!
Actually people won't need much effort to encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin. Because on the first place bitcoin already sets its name and price on the market so it is obviously given that is a good thing for investment and business purposes. We just need to continue our support to bitcoin and let the development itself make the process for more reason for them to accept and to be open on accepting bitcoin.

You could approach them and explain them the benefits of accepting bitcoin payments like very low fee, fast transactions, not accountable to governments unless it is cashed out and no problem of being hacked unil the private key is kept safe.

Encouraging local business is the best way to earn good, but these days little by little the popularity along with usage has been increasing. So if not profited at the moment surely the business with bitcoin acceptance will get a good profit in the future.

The acceptance of BTC to other countries like Japan is a big model to the world to accept BTC as a payment, In my country only few people knows about bitcoin and only a selected stores are accepting it as a mode of payment here especially in provinces, only individual merchants is the one who are accepting BTC as a mode of payment. But because of communication technology with the help of information technology we can know the new about trends like BTC whether is on the web or in the local paper.

Bitcoin works in a more passive way. Meaning to say that it doesn't need much effort for us to encourage businesses to accept bitcoin because its system will do it more. Its development and progress may be the factor of a much acceptance of users and local businesses to accept it. All we need to do is to just continue our support and to used bitcoin in transaction in that way more development and changes may happen to bitcoin resulting for further acceptance of it to the market.

This is something difficult especially that bitcoin seems to always have drama. Early this year we have the bitcoin unlimited and now we are facing another possible split. Bitcoin slow transaction speed and high fees are worrying.

You can as well claim that life is difficult because life has constant drama in it. Just like in life, drama doesn't really affect you that much. Jihan Wu has tweeted again, did not reading it affect you? Did not knowing about Vitalik's opinion affect you? I believe not. I stopped reading about the drama in bitcoin when I realized that it's nothing but drama. There's nothing especial about it. If you start reading about drama, you will just be depressed and anxious about what might happen.

In reality, these things don't affect you at all. If the price went down and it's because of a popular Bitcoin user, does it matter? You couldn't have prevented that from happening. The price will always fluctuate as it may.

tl;dr: Drama will never affect you. The price will go up and down and that's all normal.
