Ok, well I was around for the NXT 'ICO' back in the day and if I remember correctly it was at launch the most centralized currency in the world with under 10 contributors and a return of investment of something like 1500x initial BTC.
Chronos did something weird to your memories. There were 99 contributors, some of them didn't provide Nxt accounts in time so 27 payments were merged into a single Unclaimed Coins fund leading to 73 founding accounts. Most of those 27 guys got their stake after the launch, though in the blockchain it still looks like it was only a single guy with 17% of the total supply.

Even with that explanation, a VERY large portion of all NXT (70%) became the property of VERY few people.

I had considered trading in a few of my JINN to pad my IOTA holdings but after seeing the response there is NO WAY I'm giving up my JINN assets. This is over 1/3 of all public JINN assets, given back to Triangle. Triangle has done a good job buying back public shares and, in my opinion, this both proves they are quite hopeful of their project AND they want their shares back!
I think I'm going to empty my Nxt reserves in buying into JINN and holding both this and IOTA. You can't remove +33% of a market and not expect it to have a net-positive reflection in price (assuming you believe the asset is legit.)
Also, the more funds raised during the crowdsale, the more likely Jinn is to be successful.

Only thing i don't like is the connection to NXT.
Where is the connection to Nxt? If I am not mistaken the Jinn and NXT team are fairly integral to the project? I am categorically against project that involves the NXT team due to the NXT ICO setup. I may of course be wrong, and if so I would be happy to be corrected. Don't worry,Come-from-Beyond has left the BEING DEAD NXT. Just jump in iota, hope he will not abandon it again.

TOTALLY off topic, but from my casual research, Einstein seems to be the most often misquoted figure in history!

That's true. Well, thank you anyway for visiting us. Oh I am not saying IOTA might not be successful or a bad investment. Just not a huge fan of NXT. I do have a question. At December 22nd, when delivery of IOTA's is expected (If I am not mistaken) does the team plan on promoting listing on exchanges and allow for organized trading of tokens?

So, if I were to buy these using blockchain.info... I would have to: - use the current version (NOT the next one at alpha.blockchain.info)
- create a new wallet
- go to "Receive Money" and transfer some bitcoin to the address in there
- go to "Send Money"
- choose "Transaction Type" "Custom"
- select the same address for the select boxes "From:" and "Change Address:"
- paste IOTA Crowdsale address in the "To:" field
- enter the amount of BTC to buy, it must be less than the total available btc on that address, because I will have to save some (I don't know, 0.01 maybe?) for step 3 plus miners fees
- click "Review Payment"
- click "Show Advanced"
- veryfy that the same address from "Inputs" is listed on "Outputs" with enough money for step 3 (I am guessing 0.01 btc is more than enough)
- click "Send Transaction"
- go to "Import/Export"
- choose "Paper Wallet" and print (to be able to import the private key somewhere else in case blockchain.info migrates to alpha.blockchain.info or shuts down before step 3)
- choose "Export Unencrypted" then "Bitcoin-QT format" and copy the JSON somewhere just to be extra safe
- pray for blockchain.info to exist and to still have the "Transaction Type" "Custom" in the future
- when the time for step 3 arrive, use "Transaction Type" "Custom" option to send the specific amount required in step 3 from the same address that I used as Input and Change Address on the previous transfer
Is the procedure above correct? Did I missed something? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Looks too complex. I prefer this one: 1. Send some amount to buy iotas 2. Send all money to the account where the coins has gone from 3. Send tiny amount to prove the ownership Ok so if I want to invest I can simply: 1. Create a new wallet at blockchain.info 2. Send whatever BTC I want to invest to this wallet 3. Send All the BTC except for 0.01 or so to the Crowdsale address 4. When the time comes, send the specified micro amount to verify ownership. 5. Thats it?

Someone has sent 0.00097154 BTC. Thank you for the donation. PS: Min amount: 0.001 BTC
PPS: Miners fee is excluded, otherwise someone would try to send 1 satoshi and attach 1000 BTC fee.

Pretty sure that if you lack btc to send a tiny amount you can just add btc to that address later, it doesn't change in any way the fact that you own the address.

Better not to risk, what if you be unable to get more BTC.

I know this is off topic, but I have to ask. I'm just to curious.
CfB, how is it that your activity count never increases? I noticed this about a day a go. Your count seems to be locked in at 1050. With every new post, are you deleting an old one??? O_o
..or do I simply misunderstand how this BTT BBS works?

Michael Marquardt aka Theymos hides activity rating algo, so it's recalculated once a week.
