Yes, CfB is the man behind SaM algo. Speculators please make your own thread ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) IOTA is software that is intended for usage, it's not some magic asset that will make you rich just because you deposited some btc into a btc address. If you want the software to gain value you should actively participate in the community in a productive manner. Here are some suggestions: 1) Make prototypes. If you are a developer or engineer you should already now start brainstorming on use cases. Use cases that may just be for fun to show off the technology or use cases that may evolve into a start-up. If you're not a developer you should seek out people you know that are experimenting with tech over at DIY places like www.hackaday.com, www.instructables.com and www.raspberrypi.org/forums and tell them about IOTA and how it may apply to their projects. 2) Make promotional / instructional material. Documentation is key to adoption. 3) Contact companies that deal in IoT that you believe will benefit from IOTA 4) Scour Twitter for IoT/Blockchain/Crypto relevant posts and market IOTA to them. 5) Locate events near you www.iotevents.org or www.meetup.com/topics/internet-of-things/ We will supply the presentation and drill you in the material so that you can present it with confidence. These are the things that are important right now, not what the price will debut at. Ethereum is over 2 years old as a concept and project, they got hundreds of devs, lots of investors, connections to companies, tons of press, attending tons of events, having meet-ups etc. so comparing IOTA to it and speculating on the price vs Ethereum is just ridiculous beyond description.

@CfB, Did you develop the SaM hash algorithm, or did someone else?
Me. But it's unrelated to Iota, a modified SHA-3 could be used instead.

0.00001 BTC for one IOTA puts it to 20th place by market cap. One should be crazy to buy in at that price before even the beta.
I'm willing to buy any amount between 300K and 1M for 1/3 of that price, so I'm buying 1M for 3.5 BTC. Please PM me if you're interested.

End of December I would have thought about this offer. But I like IOTAtokens approach: Try to find a way of using it. Enable the availability of IOTA things. This will take time and so I try to be an active part in the community in Ryver and hold my few million IOTA the long term. I’m quite confident we will achieve something. And with an adoption in practice the price will also be in the right direction. But it’s than covered by something real, not just the short pump and dump speculation.

There is literally not a single person that would sell you any at that price. 20th is BEHIND bytecoin and Nem that are pointless projects. I have a friend that is selling 10+ million IOTA (his entire crowdsale wallet) for around 100 BTC (prob a little less since he really needs the money) because he's fallen on hard times (hospital bills). Only as a single sale though, with escrow through the IOTA dev team (he's willing to pay for escrow).

I don't know in what reality do you live in but most active buyers after a coin hits the first major exchange are the same people who took part in IPO because they are truly believers. But they chinese and whales come who dump at x3-x5 and go celebrate. Then if the tech behind the coins is solid steady climb starts, but it might take months to go back even to the same x2-x3. And if there are any problems the price might go below the IPO. Also if the price doesn't jump fast even long time holders have to sale because some of them need money to pay rent and stuff.

Let's just wait until IOTA is on an exchange and let the market decide rather than speculate. Both sides have motivation to convince the other of IOTA's worth.

It's a sale thread, so we're talking about sales. You want to speculate about the price, here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1360660.0As for me, I'm not speculating, I'm buying. See the difference? You can go back to Iota discussion to Iota developing thread now and don't bother buyers and sellers.

Last chance to buy Iota at .00001 before the beta launch. I have 4.7 BTC worth left to sell (all other Iota allocated for this price has been sold already)
Escrow is set up and I am paying escrow fee. If interested PM me.
Look at decred: it offers nothing new, more of the same, not even a functional gui, and is now priced 0.002 on the exchanges. Offering IOTA for .00001 is crazy... you're giving it for free... But there are much less Decred existing than IOTA´s 47,610047 times less, but what is important is mc IOTA mc will be much higher then a DCR mc, but who knows. I have IOTA's, i have DCR and i'm not selling it. Big difference between IOTA and DCR is that IOTA is new tech, DCR isn't. i'm long time holder True, but he is just comparing the price in BTC

Sorry, I mean I have been busy with other stuff for about a month and have a load of iota's waiting for me on the Genesis Block. I just reckoned iota is being exchanged on the Nxt Asset Exchange and would rather have my iota there, together with my other Nxt assets.

There is no official iota being traded over at Nxt that we (IOTA team) can vouch for. Any trading of this software is 100% your own responsibility.
