PIVX 3.1.0 coming soon...

If you have any $PIVX zPIV in your wallet, you should convert them back to PIV by sending them back to your own address. Then add enablezeromint=0 into your pivx.conf file to prevent any new auto minting to zPIV. You can use zPIV again after upgrading to upcoming 3.1.0 wallet.

Reason why is because current version of $PIVX zPIV is v1 and it cannot stake once zPoS goes live. Only zPIV v2 that's newly minted using the upcoming 3.1.0 core wallet can stake & give you higher rewards. P.S. You can still stake base coin PIV if you don't want to stake zPIV.

It means we still have time to buy this coin and make some profit in short time of period when new wallet will be released. PIVX is moving forward with a good momentum and the community behind this project is very large that's why it looking good choice.

Hi, I have a few questions about the new staking with zPIV v2:
- Will you get PIVX or zPIVX(v2) as staking profit while you stake with zPIVX(v2) ?
- Can you stake with both PIVX and zPIVX in the same wallet ?

Yes it is my understanding that zpiv rewards are given for zpiv staking and yes you can stake both piv and zpiv. Although you will get higher rewards for staking zpiv compared to piv as an incentive to increase the privacy.

Also so there isn’t any confusion you can send zpiv to a piv address .

Once the test wallet is released we should get a better look at the new user interface.

http://pivx.cryptonode.co Is a good site for rough estimate on amount and frequency, based on the site about 15k piv will give you a reward daily of just over 2 piv per reward per day.  The reward valiues will increase in the next release with zpiv staking to be 3 zpiv

With the launch of zPoS, a new reward system will be introduced. Users staking zPIV will be rewarded a 50% higher block reward after the update vs when staking with PIV.

BryanDoreian provided a breakdown when chatting w/ The Blockchainers.

In order to prepare for zPoS (Coming online April 7th), we suggest disabling automint, and converting any existing zPIV back to PIV before the March 29th zPIV deactivation!

Any zPIV minted with core wallet 3.0.6 and below will not be qualified for zPIV staking, and will not be able to be backed up with the deterministic seed. We recommend that you convert your existing zPIV to PIV before it is temporarily disabled on March 29th, and remint to zPIV using the new wallet (v3.1.0) once zPIV v2 is activated on April 7th to ensure you can receive all of the new benefits.

Automint is the process that automatically converts a percentage of your piv to zpiv for privacy by default in your wallet.  This can be turned off with details in the link below

Hello all,

I'm having issues setting up a masternode.

It previously worked and I'm searching forums and getting mixed answers around why it might not be working.

I originally had an OSX client as the main wallet synced to an ubuntu 'mn1' - this worked.

I later decommissioned the ubuntu and unlocked my tokens by deleting the mn1 entry in the masternodes.conf on the main wallet. Not sure if I needed to do anything else here but my tokens were unlocked.

I then created' mn2' on my mainwallet  (adding to the masternodes.conf as per the documentation) as well as setting a username and password for mn2 in pivx along with the following lines:
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=0
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256

My 'mn2' is a windows host so I edited the pivx.conf after the pivx-qt wallet was synced and mirrored the username and password previously set on my mainwallet as well as adding the following  lines:

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=0
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
masternode=1
externalip=<external internet facing IP>
bind=<internal IPv4 address>
masternodeaddr=<external internet facing IP>
masternodeprivkey=<genkey generated from mainwallet>

I can successfully telnet from outside my network to my external facing IP on port 51472 so no issues there.

I try to start the masternode from the mainwallet and get a message its successfully started:

    {
                       "overall" : "Successfully started 1 masternodes, failed to start 0, total 1",
                       "detail" : {
                          "status" : {
                             "alias" : "mn2",
                             "result" : "successful"
                         },

In my masternodes tab the masternode is enabled but the active timetamp isn't ticking.

Back to the masternode type masternode status I get:

Masternode not found in the list of available masternodes. Current status: Not capable masternode: Hot node, waiting for remote activation. (code -1)

I've tried deleting the blockchain and resyncing but to no avail.

mnsync status shows it is synced:

{
    "IsBlockchainSynced" : true,
    "lastMasternodeList" : 1521466606,
    "lastMasternodeWinner" : 1521466579,
    "lastBudgetItem" : 1521466257,
    "lastFailure" : 0,
    "nCountFailures" : 0,
    "sumMasternodeList" : 8132,
    "sumMasternodeWinner" : 99765,
    "sumBudgetItemProp" : 24964,
    "sumBudgetItemFin" : 46502,
    "countMasternodeList" : 4,
    "countMasternodeWinner" : 5,
    "countBudgetItemProp" : 3,
    "countBudgetItemFin" : 3,
    "RequestedMasternodeAssets" : 999,
    "RequestedMasternodeAttempt" : 0
}

I've seen people suggest deleting the blockchain again and resyncing but I've done that twice.

Other people suggest to start the masternode from the client first before starting the masternode - but I don't quite understand how you start the masternode since its waiting for a remote invocation?

The only thing I can think of is if the original setup of 'mn1' is conflicting somewhere or my local wallet is unable to send the command to the masternode though based on the status it is sending it.

Any ideas please?
