Now BTC is currently the only means of payment for GAME in our wallet. However, in a matter of days we will be adding credit cards. This means that gamers can purchase GAME without having to know what it is. Instead they can now enjoy a coin they can transact from game to game with, have anonymity [...]

By implementing our API game developers can use GameCredits as a means of payment for in game currencies/items. In doing so, they save more than 20% on fees currently paid out to vendors like apple/google. At the same time developers reduce their payment processing periods from up to 60 days to minutes, eliminate chargebacks/fraud, and increase consumer deposit limits (which are currently very low).

Our API allows for the possibility of every in game currency purchase/item purchase to run on the GAME platform. Meaning hpyothetically you could be in the Game of War store (one of the top mobile games) and all purchases are prices in dollars or euros like normal. But when you purchase it goes through the GAME system cutting developers costs and securing their system more. I think we can all realize how powerful this is.

(bolding added)

Indirectly offering fiat to crypto conversion is nominally nice, a feature like OKCoin, Coinbase, Kraken, or other large regulated exchanges but on smaller scale.

However, I do wonder how much investigation has been done into issues with AML / KYC regulations.  In the U.S., those antiprivacy regulations are seriously nasty, to a degree which could greatly surprise anyone who has not extensively looked into the matter.  Europe is sometimes a little better in that regard, though still with issues.

Hopefully you guys aren't too based in the U.S., as you likely really wouldn't want GameCredits to be counted as "an administrator" of a cryptocurrency under U.S. money services business laws and FINCEN regulations on what counts as an MSB.  Games won't want to require players to upload scans of photo IDs, utility bills, and the like.

The preceding is among the reasons that few major cryptocurrency startups have happened in the U.S., other than some small ones sneaking under the radar (and aside from possibly Bitcoin itself but with Satoshi Nakamoto -- probably not his real name -- concluding to go dark and flee).  Ripple was an exception, yet they did have huge issues in their history including millions of dollars of government fines and forced changes.

GameCredits has an U.S. contact address on its website.  Fortunately for this, the CEO and some others appear to be European.  However, even if GameCredits is decentralized or non-U.S. enough to get by itself, "regulatory compliance" can still be an issue for game companies using GameCredits, if there is back and forth conversion between GAME and fiat.

First of all, thank you for the detail and time you put into this, you clearly know your stuff.

To clarify, we are in fact decentralized with offices in Los Angeles, Belgrade, and Moscow. But to address some of your concerns. GameCredits has spent the last several months investigating all of the legalities behind the use of GAME for in game purchases, game purchases, etc. Our proprietary method of exchanging GAME for Credit Card purchases works in such a way that it avoids many inherent complications. It's hard for me to discuss why without giving away too much, but my point is we have spent all of our time up until this release making sure GameCredits INC. and developers will not run into such issues.

However, you clearly have a lot of knowledge. If you're interested in starting a dialogue with us, and believe you can help us out in anyway, feel free to join our Slack Channel. I'm sure members of the GameCredits team would be willing to discuss such matters. We could always use a wise community member such as yourself helping us out. https://gamecredits.com/slack.html

With the all of the potential this has i would believe it is a good time to buy but you have to decide for yourself.  Long term i think a lot of people will regret not taking the opportunity now to pick up some game.

GameCredits 24th Newsletter, "Gamecredits Announces MobileGo Crowdfund"

https://gamecredits.net/newsletter/issues/24/

With a tentative launch date in April. We are announcing the crowdfund of a smart contract token known as mobilego. The token will *NOT* compete with GameCredits. GameCredits will be the only coin used for in game payments and game payments. Instead, mobile go will allow us to create a decentralized gamer to gamer virtual market place , decentralized gamer run tournaments, and peer to peer matchplay. All of these functions will be possible running on smart contracts. MobileGo will also be used to "gamify" the mobile store. This means that gamers can hold MobileGo and receive access to tournaments, beta tests, and GAME discounts. *I cannot stress enough MobileGo is not competing with GAME. A successful MobileGo will only mean the acquisition of millions of gamers to the GAME store. All of whom will buy GAME to use for in game payments and game payments.*  All of this is made possible with the new token.

MobileGo Bitcointalk Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1792451.0

In the beginning i was disapointed, the market reaction speaks for himself. But after reading it is clear nothing changed for GAME, but it could be communicated much better.

At my understanding MOBILEGO is more a combination of Googleplay and Firstblood and will funnel users who need to buy GameCredits to buy the games or make a buy in in a tournament.

(We saw a dump today much in part because of strategic fud from a single community. It started before the announcement.)

However, we understand your perspective. Our announcement will not reflect our marketing tactics going forward. We spent a lot of time deciding the best way to inform the community. We feared speaking of GAME would lead to the belief that MobileGo was taking over, which is blatantly false. However, leaving the GameCredits Store out would directly miss the purpose of MobileGo. That's why we decided to approach it in this way, since we needed to make sure we explained the crucial part MobileGo plays in GameCredits and vice versa.

The GAME store by itself (with no MobileGo), is certainly something substantial. We already have hundreds of games interested, and many more waiting to see how the launch goes. The inclusion of MobileGo will add decentralized technology not possible with GameCredits currently to the GAME Store expanding the market potential of GameCredits Inc. MobileGo will allow users to host peer to peer torunaments, and exchange items using smart contracts. These transactions will use the MobileGo token since GameCredits does not have smart contract capabilities. However, users with these items will have attained them through purchase in games that exclusively use GameCredits as a means of in-game payments and store payments. MobileGo will also act as a huge fund for the GameCredits store. 50% of all funds will be used to advertise and market to millions of gamers. This will in turn reflect in huge market growth for GameCredits as millions of people begin to use it in the GAME Store for in game purchases.
