They cannot state what is the limit for a deposit to get flagged because people would just deposit a satishi less than that to get away with it.

Most exchanges and banks do this also. If you deposit over a certain limit, they will want verification where the funds came from. And they will never state this limit for obvious reasons

It is gambling site, not a bank and currently, I don't think that anywhere their say that in certain cases users may need to disclose their identity. I think in that case they suspected user is using their exchange for mixing coins, not to verify how the user got those coins.

May be for really huge site like bitsler, they do not think that it will bother them because such a player deposit really huge amount. And they do not even have problem if a player want to make their site as mixer or not, as long as they paying some fee or may be gambling a little bit of their deposit then it should be withdraw.

What I am thinking is about the withdrawal process, usually with such a huge withdrawal some site will nees to check everything as their procedure, I never saw people really take some huge withdrawal from bitsler so it needs their confirmation

I think you may understand wrongly. Gambling sites need to verify if a player wins huge amount to check whether user used any wrong practices to win that money. But in this case, the user just withdraw his money after placing just one bet.

There might be a missing piece of the story here, because its very unusual that a gambling site will require such legal document. I do understand that there are measures that a site needs to take to avoid the site being used for laundering. If it is indeed true, there must be a good reason why he was asked.

When a payment is halted it usually has to do with the BTC deposit and proving those funds weren't obtained illegally.

Each bet is provably fair. Basically impossible to cheat unless there is some exploit which is rare.

Imagine someone deposits the Bitfinex stolen funds from a few years back. They do a few bets, lose and withdraw the rest.

In this case Bitsler would he liable for not halting the deposit.

Yes, such case ( a casino asks for the document id ) is very rare and it happens only at specific occasions only. We, as legit player, no need to worry at all. Imo, most casinos will take the same action if it happened to their sites.

Right now unless someone is attempting to use the casino as a mixer then most casinos don't ask for ID.

However there were a few cases where the casino didn't want to pay up earnings and instead insisted on ID knowing certain players wouldn't give out that info. And no... I am not talking about Bitsler here.

I got this error message from that link - The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

If you enable your 2fa function in your account then you no need to worry about these kinds of hacks.

Before depositing your money into any of the online sites you must remember to activate your 2fa otherwise you may lose your money as well as your account.

2fa won't help if it's a phishing site.

Since the thread was removed and I haven't seen the site.

Basically some phishing sites can alter your DNS and you will think you are on the correct site since it looks identical.

You will enter your username, password and later it asks for 2fa. You will get an error but the hacker already has access to the site.

Best would be for admin mods to try fake username/passwords and when those are entered at the real site, then ban the IP address entirely.

I don't think hacker can get into your account if you enable 2fa because these 2fa codes last around 30 to 60 seconds. Those fishing sites will get your details only after you submit those details and for them to log in using your details surely take more than 30 seconds so they need a new 2fa code.

I've read already about phishing sites where the OP logs immediately after you (if the timing is right, I assume), so the 2FA is still good.
And it's enough to send the money to another account of the hacker (since for withdraw another 2FA is needed and the hacker cannot be THAT fast).
The good thing is that afaik Bitsler team use to be careful with the withdrawals, so the hacker has a very good chance he cannot withdraw your money, especially if you report that quick enough.

How long does it take for the verification email to arrive in my mail box. I tried to log-in my Bitsler account and it asked me to check my email, but 30 minutes has passed no email to verify. I am sure that I haven't changed the email connected to my Bitsler. Nothing on my spam folder too.

I too got the below message when I tried to log in to my bitsler account.

A suspicious connection was trying to access to your account. An email has been sent to you with some information regarding this new connection attempt.

Please check your email to approve this login attempt.

(The link will only be valid for 30 minutes)

But I received my email almost immediately and now I can login to my account.

It will only work if your password is different from your email as sometimes people tend to put only one password to all of their accounts. 2FA works but it is not 100% reliable as the security of the account also depends on the person. They also need to be careful on what they are installing and downloading, or basically what they are doing on the web as hackers can easily put a key logger in your system, some even say now that they can capture your screen. Intalling anti-viruses and running registry cleaners will help you have an extra step ahead of the criminals.

Just don't enter where you don't have to enter and that's all. I think everyone can understand which websites they have to enter, usually these people are looking for pirate downloads, cracks and etc. No need to use antivirus, this makes pc performance a little slow + I don't trust them, they are "legal/licensed" keyloggers.

Basically some phishing attempts these days are pretty advanced. If you got an old copy of windows without any updates. It can mess with your DNS and redirect to the phishing sites IP address.

Hence you should never surf those warez or porn sites which got like 20 ads opening up. Because some of them might be some java script to mess with your DNS.

Only way to protect yourself is if you notice something strange like a failed login when it shouldn't be failed and if for some reason they ask for the 2fa twice almost immediately .

For all these issues you should use the best antivirus then even though if you visit some phishing sites it will block all those viruses. Never go for pirated version because you may not get updates so you still risking your PC. So I'm using premium version Norton antivirus software.

Always check the site URL clearly before entering your user id and password.

I believe it is an automatic system then I guess the issue was on your email provider or your Internet connection so there was a delay, login verification email always instant within few minutes only (1-2) as per my experience. Unless Baryom confirm that there was a glitch on the system, it must be an issue on user's end. But great to see you can login again.
