The main problem of the litecoin is that it is a loyal clone of bitcoin. There will no new features. So it is better to own bitcoin.

Looking forward to the upcoming on-chain adaptive block size scaling release of Litecoin. Here is the latest updated list of reasons LTC will continue to do well this year and beyond (I'll add information about sidechains as I learn more):

• Capable of four times as many transactions as Bitcoin in a ten minute period. • Fast well established network. Current Hashrate is 1,643 GH/s. Since scrypt is memory intensive it is known to be approximately 1000 times slower hardware wise in comparison to SHA256. Fair comparison to the Bitcoin network requires multiplying that hashrate by 1000 (1,643 TH/s). The fact is for most of Litecoins history the hashrate has been relatively high and secure. Those comparing it to the Bitcoin network without considering this 1k factor are either being disingenuous or just ignorant of the facts.

What always bothers me about LTC is that I am unable to figure out what would drive price rises in a primary sense? LTC always seems to go up in line with BTC but seems to lack primary drivers

its always the fudster that makes its value go up.

Where are those scrypt ASIC producers located at? Maybe they somewhat neglected investments into scrypt hashes due to stagnating LTC markets but they will for sure be capable of taking up faster than package delivery of fresh equipment reaches mining enthusiasts worldwide.

The ASIC producers are located in China. They are producing quite a lot now.

After the activation of segwit the price of litecoin came down and it was really unexpected as far as i am concerned as i have purchased a chuck of litecoin thinking that the price would keep moving after the activation as some the coins had a good rally after the activation and the price of litecoin just corrected after the activation.
