Yeah, there's no need for you to have banks that hold your bitcoin (and then loan that out to other people... which is the whole point of being a bank).

What there needs to be more of is bullet proof bitcoin exchanges and wallet services (yes, offline and air gap is better, I'm talking about for mainstream adoption and also for daily trading).   One thing that hurts btc and crypto in general is the occasional news of exchanges being hacked for huge losses.   From that point of view, the confidence in some exchanges is about equal to that of banks in the old west of America.   Yeah, it's a bank, but it seems like it might be robbed at any time.

Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.
There is a rumor that bitcoin was made to destroy banks so, I do not think that any bank or financial institution will accept it because of market rivalry and currency principle. Besides, bitcoiner do not need bank.  Why? Because the good thing about bitcoin is your bitcoin wallet is your bank.  You can also use it anytime and convert it into flat if you want.

I highly doubt that any financial institution would accept bitcoin. As I can see, bitcoin is a big threat to banks. Also bitcoin is volatile so that it will be a chaos if banks would accept bitcoin as a bitcoin. I would believe if bitcoin is accepted and converted as fiat and you can now do whatever you want to your money, if you want to save it or withdraw it.
They won't give way, banks wants to be on top because they believe they have the support of the government that is why they are powerful.
Bitcoin can only be accepted if there are 3rd party who will help us facilitate the transaction, and that is happening now already and hope more business will support so we can easily transact from our own wallet to our bank accounts.

I think that there is no bank that actually takes bitcoin directly, but in the local wallet application in our country there is a function with which you could directly withdraw cash converted from bitcoin, without any hassle.

It is quite difficult to imagine. Each bank must have a regulation system for the money they keep, and how BTC can be regulated, if it's autonomous? And it might be a big risk for the bank, because bitcoin's price is changing up and down. On the other side changing in price can be profitable for the bank, but in that case people wouldn't want to use its services.

As I know one of the banks in Germany accepts bitcoins as deposits. I didn't check it personally but I suppose that it is true

Exactly because most of the banks thought it as a competition of itself bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Most bank they thought Bitcoin is a kind of competitor to them, so for now none of the banks in the whole are accepting it, but in the I believe bank will join the ride in bitcoin they saw the people are shifting into the concepts of bitcoin in this industry.

To get a good idea about which banks are most Bitcoin friendly, I suggest that you visit Bitcoin News, Blockchain News, Prices, Charts & Analysis - CoinDesk and inquire within the community. I also recommend Paxful and their website is: Buy bitcoin instantly where there are over 300 ways to trade Bitcoin, including cash deposit directly to the seller’s bank account.

I hope this helps! Just keep in mind it’s going to be more so about that anti money laundering paperwork than it really is about the bank itself.

Banks will not dare to take a controversial decision to accept bitcoin, we all know that no country legalizes bitcoin so that if banks accept bitcoin it can threaten their business.

Some other banks has a collaboration with bitcoin so they are oblige and welcome all bitcoin in their transaction.
It is good since even though they are rivals in order to provide excellent service they are ready to merge to provide what is need by the investors.

I dont think so, maybe there is but i dont actually know what particular bank accepts bitcoins. But for me i would only prefer to keep my bitcoin in my own wallet rather to deposit in the bank. Because i think bitcoin is more secure than any bank to keep or deposit bitcoin or money. And one thing for sure, no banks would accept to deposit bitcoin here in my country.

Till now I have not seen or heard about a bank that is selling/buying or accepting Bitcoin. But you can always get a locker in bank to store your Bitcoin safely like we store property papers or Gold or precious ornaments.

Not all banks accept Bitcoin. Especially if a country makes a regulation that Bitcoin is something illegal, it is certain that the country's banks can not accept Bitcoin.

I think banks hate bitcoin but they store a lot bitcoin in their bank for sure. In case of war hor emergency, they'll earn alot of money very easy
