If the internet would go down it would be a disaster for everyone and not only for Bitcoin. I would not even care about Bitcoin if the internet is going down but more about other stuff on the internet.

Yeah mate if the Internet goes down for real chances are we would be having very serious problems in the real world and no one would care much about Bitcoin because we may have things like a war or a global catastrophe or an alien invasion for example looming over us 

In that cases I also have fear of lose of bitcoin, if any war occur then the internet technology will definitely disrupted and in that case we will be thrown far away from our bitcoins and will lose our wealth.

Yeah if such situations arise people will be in great upset, simply internet connections won't go down,but if any disaster occurs it may go down leaving bitcoin and its users in vain.

Bitcoin would simply cease to exist if internet is down everywhere in the world and I would pack my rucksack and head to the mountains and live as a hermit till the nuke hits  On a more serious note, I've often wondered what it would be like to live in a post-apocalyptic world like the one in Hokuto no Ken

If you are talking about users not having an internet connection then there is no way to access bitcoins.
 

But if you are talking about the while network then I thunk I heard around that they are going to launch it in space in some time in the near future.

Maybe you can trade bitcoin by giving private key / broadcast file (you can broadcast it with any wallet)
Or run small bitcoin network in LAN/WLAN

given the cayos happening in the world i wouldn't be surprised of nuclear war and in this case i would expect internet disruption question is how do we trade bitcoin during this time if we can't access internet.

I can tell you if a nuclear war breaks out there are way more important issues to solve than Bitcoin!
Secondly if Internet goes down, several other markets and industries will go down as well!

Fiat still can running without internet, but it'll use old system (before internet exsit) which is inefficient (write & keep transaction in book)

It is still possible to keep all transaction in a handwritten ledger book. However please note that the fiat is debt based, and the government will almost collapse immediately because all currencies are dependant on each other like bitcoin depends on internet connection. It means fiat currency will cease to exist like bitcoin if internet is totally down. Then new prospects have to be made up to cover the loopholes of this, means no buying and selling things or more primitive barter system will be implemented. Internet is too important in sustaining the evolving of the whole world. I hope that internet will never shut down, otherwise it will cause a chaos

Bitcoin won't go useless. The difficulty of using bitcoin increases. But when years pass internet won't be a big issue as most countries has got better internet facilities due to the advancement in technologies.

No internet is no access to online services, Your bitcoins in your offline wallet will be secure, as long there will be no hard-fork.
But the chance that the whole world (miners included) will have no access to the internet, is very slim.

I never thought of this happening or never thought it would. But to be on the safe side I am considering getting a hardware wallet, something like a trezor or something similar to store anything over 1 BTC on. Just the logical solution I would think.

I think no internet no bitcoin. You can transact in bank to send money to someone,
I think when nuclear war will happen the price of bitcoin is dead because in that case no people would try to surf, they trying to survive in that case hehe thats my theory

Lol pf course even you can not access the wallet. for all transaction processing and load must be using an Internet connection. so if the Internet disappeared. may not only bitcoin disappearing. but everyone will lose because the banks certainly have chaos too

The chance is really small that the internet will goes down, but if that is going to happen than there are a lot of people that is going to be mad and Bitcoin will maybe disappear.

I think paper wallet will be use if its happens that you can transfer it into another pc or laptop..
But i think it will not happen because internet is the half of my life without it...

it is a fact that if internet goes down there will be nothing left about bitcoin. But can we imagin the world with out internet in the present time. it will not only effect the bitcoin but i think it will disturb other important aspects of life.
