The internet is indestructible, the internet is a global network as well as a cryptocurrency network or any other peer to peer network.

you are right , now in this era , it is impossible that internet go down forever, there are a lot of experts in that field and they will try their best to maintain the service of internet and in some areas because of some accidents when internet do offline, it is fixed sooner.

If internet goes down no one could possibly send money across the world, even though there is another way of sending money to someone like text messages and it is encrypted and if you decrypted it you can save the BTC and spend it all the way you want as long as you have the QR code.

Internet is the heart of bitcoin or bitcoin needs internet so he can live properly if the internet is slow then the bitcoin transaction process also slowed because bitcoin delivery depends on the speed of the Internet network and if the Internet went down it would be good bye bitcoin for everyone internet will disappeared for forever it will trouble to everyone who needs internet everyday!

Oh, no. It's not indestructible at all. Cut a few undersea cables and the whole internet is crippled.
In fact, a massive DDoS some time ago affected internet connection globally. That's just a DDoS, no war whatsoever.

If the internet were to go down, I think bitcoin would fork. Asia, Europe, and the US would all have different chains. Bitcoin transactions would not be global anymore, and there's a huge possibility of double-spending (I'd spend BTC in Hong-Kong, fly to US, then spend it again since they're separate chains).

given the cayos happening in the world i wouldn't be surprised of nuclear war and in this case i would expect internet disruption question is how do we trade bitcoin during this time if we can't access internet.

home internet and mobile internet goes down
Bitcoin network completely breaks down. no hash power, no node. no confirmation, then we have to go cash, like dollar, euro.

If one day the all internet is down, it means probably ww3. In that case, even dollar or euro will have no value anymore.
I think in that case, better to have gold.

There is no chance for the internet to go down if this ever happens means that we will be totally screwed and we will have much more importand things to worry than bitcoin.

home internet and mobile internet goes down

do not mean trade bitcoin to buy/sell i mean using it as a way of payment say you wanted to send money to someone abroad for family far away

Well, if the internet breaks down, bitcoin is last of our woes, the world would in fact fall apart as we know it right now.
So yeah, bitcoin functionality would breakdown, no confirmations hence no transactions, it's like asking what if bank processing servers were bombed, surely the functioning of the bank would end, but breakdown of internet is highly unlikely at a global level, so I doubt bitcoins going anywhere

though war will happen again this world even though I don't want a war happen very unlikely internet will disappear from the modern world that has been what it is today.

Of course Bitcoin will not process without internet, however if this happens, all of the world is in tremendous chaos, businesses, transportation, communications will greatly affected, not only bitcoins, but all other currencies will go down.

So I guess, All governments and other people including us is preventing this type of problem.

Initial days the confirmation gets delayed, further the mining gets affected which collapses entire bitcoin network and other digital currency network. In reality internet won't go down because not only our bitcoin, each and every sector in one or other way has some connection with internet.

We use Bitcoin because we can use it anywhere around the world using mobile, personal computer, laptop etc with internet connection. Without internet connection you won't be able to do any transaction with it. The result is Bitcoin and other crypto currency will all become useless without internet connection. Therefore as the internet goes down all crypto currency will also go down with it.

anything can happen, dude. I sure similarly with your said if the internet goes down, bitcoin will dead because no on can using bitcoin. but what you can do with the offline wallet?I think is not having a value at that time. the one disadvantages of bitcoin, without internet bitcoin, is worthless.

of course anything is possible but the important thing that you are forgetting here is that the chance of happening a lot of these scenarios are so small that it becomes negligible. so in this case you can safely assume it will never happen because the chance is so small.

What if the world ends? What would happen to all the fiat currency that is on the planet?

It is unlikely that such a wide spread internet access will all go down at the same time. But bitcoin will be revived as soon as internet comes up online again for at least one of us.

The internet will never go down globally. It might happen in some countries, but that's all.

The great thing is that mining farms and nodes are hosted in different places around the world.

If the internet in one country goes down, then there will always be the other countries left to keep Bitcoin up and running.

That's why it is very important also for the future that nodes and mining farms get spreaded around the globe wisely.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

If the internet goes down, we go back to real gold since bitcoin is digital gold as store of value  Grin
