We have two explainer animated videos in progress. One expected at any time, the other expected in late August/ early September. We are also working on a more edgy video with an expected release date in August.
We are lining up a conference for the end of 2017 and early 2018, and pursuing speaking opportunities at these events.
We have some managers producing material to be published with major outlets. This is something we will be regularly pursuing.
We are planning opportunities to recruit new talent. We're also closely following the development roadmap and supporting these development releases with press releases and public education about the current events within the project.
We are building up our international marketing strategy. We've just completed a Portuguese translation of the website and will be launching soon. We are pursuing website and wallet translations into many languages as well as adopting social media accounts to support other international markets. This is being spearheaded by @jz on #international_ops on the decred slack. We're making exponential progress in this area.
Our twitter, reddit, facebook, and youtube accounts have been beefed up with a task force of moderators. You may have noticed an improvement on these fronts lately. Our telegram channel still needs some love, but it's on the radar too. (New contractor opportunities here.)
We've recently converted a number of actively contributing community members into contractors, especially in the areas of design, marketing, social media, education, international operations, and promotion. If you have any talents in these areas and would like to contribute - just start doing it! #ideas channel on slack is a great place to get involved and then scale from there.
There are so many people I'd like to recognize for these contributions, but it truly has been a team effort. Keeping up with the community growth is exciting. We have all been inspired by the ongoing posts on the Decred giveaway campaign, and the reach we have when working together:
