What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?
Many people absulutely will get angry. and maybe bitcoin's value will crash. but yet again it was very impossible to happen as we all know many people are now loving and supporting bitcoin.

We would use bitcoin cash Grin

srsly tho, bitcoin is made for exactly that scenario eh. Imho no one made it legal and no one can make it illegal. It´s there now whether authorities like it or not. (if you think FUD is bad in forums, think of stiff old politicians getting a grasp of what bitcoin does xD)

Also, since it isnt really adopted that widely yet in most countries i dont think ppl would really care or know if banned or not. Doing banned things with bitcoin is what it gave it its value.

i think a ban could make it even more popular xD just like people went to buy guns after sandy hook incident... Roll Eyes

just my 2 cents

If that happens, I'm gping to be a criminal then and do a lot of poeple in the world. But this wouldn't be banned that easily, maybe if some seriously illegal transactions have made that affect the government. Although it is already banned if I'm going to gained on it, I'm going to used it anyways. Just good luck to track my devices. This will not be banned billionaires are gaining in these.

most of the things you do with bitcoin aren´t in line with authority ideas anyway, maybe bc authority lines aren´t in line with the people (anymore, or ever, depending where you live n stuff...)

consider yourself a criminal if not today, they will find some new law soon to fk you up, bet on that ^^ (if not your a totally boring potatoe, sry to have to inform you about that)

pretty sure swiss is uber mad at themselves for not coming up with that blockchain before they had to abandon numerical bank account system xD (prolly getting shot for that comment tommorrow xD)

Bitcoin is not banned in any of the world countries except Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador & Kyrgyzstan. In bangladesh, even imprisonment is given to persons if found using bitcoins.China and Russia earlier had an idea to ban bitcoin, but later hey changed their stand.PBOC of china started to regulate bitcoin exchanges to control bitcoin trading in china.I think since bitcoin is an internet currency,it would not be possible for a counry to ban it unless internet is banned.Japan has set an example to all the world countries by legalizing bitcoin. It has been an eye opener for all the other countries. So,what the world countries could do in future is to try to regulate bitcoin by framing new laws so that they don't have to lose revenues which they could get from taxing bitcoin earnings.

Wow, it's my first time heard about that news using bitcoin in Bangladesh can make us into the jail. Actually my country is not banned bitcoin here and the government here is don't care about bitcoin too. The community here also fine and if bitcoin banned in my country it will be a bad news for bitcoin user here because there are many bitcoin user here and we are even have local trading platform for bitcoin here.

In my country, BTC is not yet acknowledge by government. There are no announcements regarding bitcoins if it is illegal or legalized. So generally, I am free to profit and earn in bitcoin, save and converting it to fiat. Do not when it will be named here in public.
Almost all of the countries are same with you include me they don't have any rules about the usage of bitcoins even if bitcoins be considered as illegal something, bitcoins will keeps alive because bitcoins depend on the ecosystem of bitcoins and not depend on the government of countries, will be difficult to stop bitcoins right now.

Wow, I think now everyone is starting to like bitcoin, very in pity if the government banned bitcoin. Usually if the people's desire increases and the government sees a profit in any case, then the government will legalize it. So is bitcoin, if the government can get the benefits of bitcoin, why not? (For example the government may impose taxes on anyone who has a certain amount of bitcoin).

In my knowledge i know that there are many countries that don't accept Bitcoin and there Bitcoin is illegal currency. But there still Bitcoin is running. Many bitcoiners are dependent on bitcoin. If it will be banned, i think it will still running but the price of it will grow immediately.

I don't think it is possible to happen but if ever that situation will occur in the future I think people still use it since government even track users of BTC. But I've heared about officials investing in BTC I'm not sure if it is from Russia they do even managed to hold thousands of BTC because they want privacy regarding their wealth or funds as government can track funds stored in banks and I believe that not only Russian officials invested their money in BTC nowadays.

BIG WINNER!

I thik it is impossible for Bitcoin to be banned worldwide. One of the reasons is that there are lots of rich people and big organization that earns profit from bitcoin, so they won't allow it to hapoen. Also, bitcoin is decentralized and can be converted into fiat as long as there's an exchanger. But if it would happen, it will lead to less demand , low market price and crashing of Bitcoin. The possible solution is to be smart in using Bitcoin and avoid illegal activities and transactions with the use of Bitcoin.

The arrangement is proceed as is yet avoiding potential risk than we as of now do. Bitcoiners are not inept (well the greater part aren't) Also there are decentralized trades with smart contracts in the alt world that can be utilized for btc as the fundamental trade.

Saying that imo there will be no restriction on bitcoin as they will see it is close difficult to authorize with decentralized trades flying up for exchanging coins and merchandise. In my mind they could just regulate and boycott centralized exchanges and administrations.

It is impossible for bitcoins to be illegal. Why? Simply because many people or even organizations depend and earn from here. Also the government will benefit from here. Yet the good things is if this will be illegal the value of it will increased and get higher.

Bitcoin banned means completely economical condition of people's will down because so many people's are earning only Bitcoin they are not doing any kind of job. May be Bitcoin is never banned I think.

I don't think Bitcoin can be banned as it is used worldwide, as a cryptocurrency, it is very important nowadays, Bitcoin can change people's life, like you can use bitcoin to buy things, and you can invest in bitcoin, etc
