The actual problem is that people do not know about the online shop which are using bitcoin as they do not advertise while those sites which are using paypal have advertised much at their start and they are doing even now if they feel the need.

It is because bitcoin as mode of payment in shopping online is not full supported, hence advertisement is not that much. But because of popularity and PayPal already built trust from the community and it made a lot of transactions from offshore that made us to send and receive money worldwide and transfer it to our bank and many are still relying on them, though bitcoin is doing the same thing.

Paypal is the old source, and it has already built a good reputation in users heart, Before this Bitcoin that is the only easy solution to do the transaction, But now Bitcoin slowly acquiring Paypal place in online marketing. As far as I know that majority of exchangers are asking ID to be able to receive such huge amount of bitcoin, therefore, your statement is invalid and not based on fact, please mention to me which official exchanger that could be able to receive bitcoin more than 500 BTC in a day without asking ID.
And the reversible transactions in PayPal could really be tricked by some people out there, not really convenient way for us as a buyer.

PayPal is terrible for chargeback fraud with transactions that try to keep themselves anonymous because they always favour the buyer in dispute cases.  Bitcoin is irreversible and transfers responsibility to the user which is what makes it stronger than services under the control of a third party.
