It's a four module beast too, so if I can keep it cool we should be able to get over 100Gh/s from it. IF so you are rapidly becoming my favourite person on these forums. GREAT WORK TY, much appreciated.

Thank you creativex, With the 4th Avalon coming probably within a few weeks, this will push the share price 0.3+ easy Time to get "cheap" shares again, even if some will again show up to remind how "overpriced" it is etc, that is not exactly what the market is showing right now

Am I wrong or is the queued ฿ 4.12473691 dividend (in terms of total BTC) the largest in the history of BASIC-MINING?

Am I wrong or is the queued ฿ 4.12473691 dividend (in terms of total BTC) the largest in the history of BASIC-MINING? You're not wrong. In fact, today's daily dividend is larger than the sum of all dividends paid out during the entire month of May(3.53567134). Bitparking was on a tear again yesterday which paid us 1.87619927 on four blocks. Cheers.

I've liquidated the company's position in ASICMiner-PT. The 100 shares were purchased for 247.8182406 and sold for 429.1400998 for a profit of 181.3218592. bASIC-Mining shareholders received dividends totaling 13.4882 from the shares while they were held by the company. Cheers.

Wow share price is out if control. In 2 weeks I say we will be over 1.0 btc
I am a casual investor in BTC/LTC securities, and I managed to double my initial investment primarily through ASICMINER, but I've never owned BASIC-MINING shares. I observed the rise of BM from 0.6 to 2 BTC, before the 10x split, and now this recent rise. And the whole time I'm like "WTF? I don't understand this, compared to ASICMINER the dividends are negligible." I clearly don't understand enough, because I keep being wrong with my price estimates for BM. If dividends do not motivate investors, then it must be the potential future growth of the company, which with BM is tied to the miners they own and acquire. Still BM does not have production capabilities like AM (not that I am aware of atm), and their assets (miners) are depreciating in value. I am looking for the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow for BM, but I cannot see it. I cannot see why investors have such a strong valuation of the future of BM. And you know what, I'm going to kick and scream all the way in dazed, incredulous disbelief, but I think you may be right about the 1 BTC value in the near future. I am looking for an objective response to satisfy my curiousity, any help is appreciated.

Hi Trillian
I can't speak for others, but from my perspective bASIC-MINING creates value due to its small share issue (50,000 now after the 10x split) not like the 100mil or more of AMC or 400,000 of ASCIMINER. Currently your 0.35 per share gets approx 12% return, but any growth due to the small share issue is magnified in the share price.
This is where the valuation comes from, 30% reinvested into future growth.
Imagine that in the non virtual world? A company able to give 12% dividend and reinvest 30% of profits into advancement.
Thats not to say there has not been some luck on the way, backing Avalon has been a stroke of genius. Plus creativex has an uncanny ability to find new ones ( I bet he was good as where's Waldo ! )
Personally I think it comes down to the business model, for the time being it fits very well into this space. Part of this model is that Eric's only incentive comes from the 1 in 5 founders steak, You can be sure every effort is being made to keep growth high.
DYOR as always.

I am looking for the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow for BM, but I cannot see it. I cannot see why investors have such a strong valuation of the future of BM. Quite likely it is a bubble pumped by irrational investors who are excited about dividend growth but do not understand fundamentals. If you do not want to make your own profit projections, you can look at similar companies. Say, Nasty Mining now has 270 Gh/s of hashing power (via 5x BFL 60GH/s ASIC Miner), which correspond to 13.7 Mh/s per share. Those shares are traded at about 0.46 BTC. So, Nasty Mining offers 30 Mh/s per BTC. (Cost of 1 Mh/s is 0.03 BTC) BASIC-MINING's hashrate is 225 Gh/s, which corresponds to 4.5 Mh/s per share. Share price is about 0.37 BTC, so we have 12 Mh/s per BTC, or 0.08 BTC per Mh/s. So whatever it is, it is definitely not about hashrate... But if you look closely, BASIC-MINING share price growth when hashrate increases, so it is very likely that investors are just irrational and just buy more when they see positive news. Now if we continue BASIC-MINING vs Nasty Mining comparison, BASIC-MINING definitely has bigger cash reserves. However, Nasty Mining has 5x BFL 60 GH/s ASIC miners in preorders, so it will double its hashrate when those are delivered (I'll remind you that they already got 5 such machines, which are mining for a week or so already.) Nasty Mining also bought some shares in group buys, and it has some liquid assets. Well, anyway, fundamentals do not matter much when people buy irrationally.

Travelling today, so will be unavailable. I'm going to try to calculate today's dividend earlier than usual and queue it up, but I may end up just paying PPS and squaring it with tomorrow's divvy.
Cheers.
