The seller is getting screwed over just like the rest of us large shareholders. We negotiated a price at .61/share so when people are panic selling down to .13 it's not good for him either.

Iam pretty sure that was just a missclick Smiley otherwise lucky people who picked up those ~0.13 shares

Yikes and I was worried about posting earlier today and causing a panic sell when I saw major shares being unloaded before work :/

I'm really hoping the minirig owner is just trying to tank the stock, but honestly I feared this would happen across the board last night when the sec news was being spread around. It seems an odd occurrence to just be affecting bASIC IMHO. Speculative fud right here: I say it's either the minirig guy or a competing asset owner trying to kill confidence in your stock creativex.

Would you mind keeping us posted about future developments regarding sec/btct man? I'm at work and on the verge of cashing everything  out except bASiC due to the large hit I've taken this week.

@ dam
The sec might go after assets within us borders, not just the exchanges.

Either you own the bitcoins(private keys) or you don't. However with moneroj, nobody knows what you own.

For people who are panic selling: bASIC-MINING is actually mining and CreativeX is here @work. Btct is just a trading plateform. Why don't we move to another one not in the US and continue where people don't sell their shares for nothing ?

Same here.

Think listing on Havelock and moving the business to Canada would solve all the problems. At this stage thats pretty drastic but it might be worth considering when we know more details about Burnsides plans.

Another idea would be to go a similar way to NASTY Mining donations and a fan club ?

Dump market dumps Cheesy

In other news, we had a record 0.0002+ dividend/share for the first time!

Again, creativex, if all equipment setup is done and things run fine, please don't forget about the announcement on BTC-TC. Communication is a key to the success of any public company. Your latest news states:

Quote
The Minirig SC will be expected to add 480 - 500Gh/s to bASIC-Mining's rapidly expanding hashrate.

Since then, the Minirig has been happily hashing AFAIK, but potential investors (not following this topic) don't even know about it. They may just as well think you were speculating in your latest news.

Incredible how irrational things are these days. Keep up the good work!

And... cheers Wink

Maybe the bitcoin community should work on the "how to communicate" thing. Or just think about that.

And here comes the cheap shares again. After buying in low you guys want to put up a wall around .9BTCTongue

So I'm thinking this whole SEC debacle is getting a little out of hand and is really slightly premature. I feel its more a scare tactic on their end. Not to say some back-up options shouldn't be put into place for emergency sake.

But if it does come down to moving bASIC out of the U.S., possibly to Canada (being the closest option for creativex) and he is willing to continue the venture, I wouldn't mind shooting funds or using dividend payments for mining rig transport/setup in a Canadian data center. just throwing it out there.

Time to catch up on everything I've missed today.

Just in case:

Quote
Should management be unable or unwilling to continue operations of bASIC-MINING,
a suitable replacement, designated by management, will be sought out. If none
can be found all outstanding shares of bASIC-MINING will be bought back at a
price no less than 105% of the 7d Avg price, all assets held by bASIC-MINING
will be liquidated, and the proceeds distributed to shareholders.

Do you think this scenario is possible, creativex? I'd really like to hear some clear words on this. I'm interested in your position and vision for the future on this "virtual stock".  Wink

Edit:

If I recall correctly, the SEC was almost instantly involved in this since the pirateat40 thing blew up.

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/technology/willardfoxton2/100007836/bitcoin-pirate-scandal-sec-steps-in-amid-allegations-that-the-whole-thing-was-a-ponzi-scheme/

http://www.bitcointrading.com/forum/talk-bitcoin/sec-investigating-btcst-pirateat40/

They were going after him in 2012. And now, after a year, they address this incident again. Unexpected? Not really.

I'm not in the position to say "calm down, guys", but at least I can say: "don't overreact, please".

I wrote those words last year to ensure that I didn't end up contractually tied to a losing venture forever. A lot has changed since then, but I still don't want to be tied to an endeavor who's potential growth is limited by events beyond my control. 6k in market cap has been wiped out since that conversation began and all that's changed at bASIC is our dividend(and growth fund) reached an all time high.
