I tend to disagree here. Drip feeding every little bit of news on the front page of BTC-TC just looks tacky and needy. Most who are in anyway interested will have checked out this tread for the finer points. Major updates to hashing capacity or new equipment purchases are good times to release an RNS. There will be plenty more of these if all things keep heading forward as anticipated, and as such have a bigger impact. Just my two cents worth

I've just finished work on the last minirig engine and I'm happy to report that the only casualties are some skin on my knuckles(I hate spinning fans), 1 stock case fan blade, and 1 stock hsf fan blade. I had just restarted bfgminer when I snapped that screenie so hashrate was still climbing. Also ambient is high around the gear(21c) as the exhaust from the rig is being discharged into the room and the ACs cannot keep up. All that said temps are down a minimum of 10c on all the minirig engines by simply exchaning the thermal pads for MX-2 and flipping the stock HSFs. I also removed the aluminum fan shrouds from the minirig as I don't think they're doing anything save adding noise. I'll report on performance numbers as they come in. Cheers.

Ty. I've been building custom high performance computer systems for over 25yrs so most of this is second nature. I find BFL to be an enigma. I will not pre-order from the company because I thoroughly despise their business practices, but the gear itself is really some of the most capable equipment I've ever seen. Then there are cost cutting measures employed that I find to be silly on products at this price point which are holding back what are surely the most capable chips currently available. Ambient is still higher than I'd like, but the ACs are beginning to assert themselves now that the exhaust from the rig is being escorted from the premises. Cheers.

And I was about to suggest ducting those hot exhausts elsewhere, silly me! There's no doubt in my mind BFL is working with the superior chip, as of now, but it certainly is amusing the "cost efficiency" in regards to the infrastructure of the rig itself. I say that never having ordered from them though, I realize others have varied opinions-and if I were in their shoes I wouldn't be smiling. Although I tend to agree with the statement; if you're going to do something, do it right the first time. Now if only I had ordered more chips/boards maybe I could lend them to you for full optimization! EDIT: Looks like you're averaging 74.3gh/s per the advertised 60gh/s? Unless I'm overlooking factoring another rig in? That's damn impressive!

BFL Minirig SC added. Posted: 11 days agoDear virtual shareholders, bASIC-Mining is pleased to announce the further expansion of it's ASIC mining hardware with the addition of a Butterfly Labs Bitforce Minirig SC. The Minirig SC will be expected to add 480 - 500Gh/s to bASIC-Mining's rapidly expanding hashrate. With this new addition bASIC-MINING has increased it's hashing power to approximately 925,000 Mh/s. Cheers, CreativeX https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130982.800This remains the most recent news item posted to BTCT. I'm assuming you're waiting to get the Batch 3 order to post another update, but I think the work you're doing right now on optimization is probably something worth publicizing - perhaps once you've got numbers from having gone through all of the BFLs. Hi davos. Agreed. When I have solid numbers from the mods I've made I'll make a formal announcement whether we have our batch 3 Avalon to push us over the 1Th/s mark or no. Cheers.

The average will take awhile to settle, and then it'll rise somewhat overnight with the colder air, but at this point I'd not be surprised if the final average is around 62Gh/s/module which would put us around 744Gh/s for our 12 BFL modules. When I first plugged them they were averaging around 55Gh/s with their ineffective stock cooling and heat trapping cases. I'm also anxious to see Teal's final product. I think he can knock it out of the park. Cheers.

It's still 23c ambient around the rig, I'm not getting enough of the hot exhaust outside. This is something I'll have to look at improving. Still the temps are dropping and the averages continue to improve:

Crazy day indeed. I've increased my own stake significantly during this downdraft as I believe we're currently undervalued by the market.
Cheers.

Wise words. After a 13 hour kitchen work day, plus 5 caterings, then going to the bar, theres no way I'm even touching the labcoin thread, last time I went in there it was only at page 9. Call it safe, call it non-profitable. But my money will stay in bASIC for months to come. Undervalued is an understatement imho. Let the speculators make a quick coin, when it all falls apart we'll be waiting.

I've been adding a few shares here, a few shares there, while the price is low. We're definitely a touch undervalued but I also think the rush towards 1BTC was something of a bubble. Either way, bASIC is so well run I'm happy leaving coins here for months to come too.

still no tracking number on Batch #3 4-module Avalon? Hi JimiQ84. Unfortunately no...those that ordered sans PSU, as Avalon themselves advised, are being made to wait. I don't think it'll be much longer however.

I've changed our official hashrate to 940,000Mh/s to reflect the improved performance we're now getting from our BFL gear. Official announcement & company update on btct.co to follow later today.
Cheers.
